Using a single Blu-ray disc to fully Jailbreak the PS4 Offline

00:00Hey how's it going guys, welcome back to another video. So I've created a new version of the Blu-ray

00:04exploit or a new ISO that uses of course the original Blu-ray exploit version 1.2 from Geji

00:11Ne, although this version has everything you need to set up the jailbreak fully included on the disc

00:17itself. And this means that it does not require any USB drives or any other devices, it doesn't

00:23even require an internet connection so you can set up the jailbreak entirely offline if you wish.

00:28Everything you need is included on the disc, obviously the payload, the Gold 10 payload which

00:33actually is the thing that essentially jailbreaks the console, that is included on the disc and it

00:38will only load the one on the disc and copy it to the hard drive if there isn't already a payload,

00:43a Gold 10 version on the hard drive or on a USB drive. That way you can easily update it with

00:49new payloads from a USB drive or by copying it over with FTP. So it only loads the one from the disc as

00:56a last resort which is one of the problems we've had with some of the other versions that just load

01:00it off the disc because if a new version comes out, a new Gold 10 payload, you can't really update it

01:06if it's just loading the old one from the disc all the time. So that's been addressed in this version

01:10but not only that but you've got your cheats, patches, plugins and payloads and homebrew all

01:14included here on the disc as well. So in this video I'm going to show you how to fully set this up

01:19here so you can jailbreak entirely offline without any other devices. All you need is this Blu-ray

01:24disc. So all you need to do is download the disc image file from the link in the video description

01:28and burn it to your Blu-ray disc. So you need a BD-R or BD-RE disc. It needs to be a Blu-ray disc

01:35of course so you need to have a Blu-ray writer. You can get external ones that connect via USB.

01:41In my case I have an inbuilt one so I'm just going to go ahead and insert a Blu-ray disc into my Blu-ray

01:47burner and then open up a software like Image Burn or some equivalent software for writing the image file

01:53to the disc. We'll select the option to write image file to disc then simply drag and drop the laps 1.2

01:58AIO ISO file into Image Burn and you can also select this option here to browse for it manually if you

02:06can't drag and drop the file and then you can select the option to write which will write the image file

02:11to the disc. You can also change the write speed before you do this. Sometimes writing at a lower

02:16speed can get better results with less disc errors so that's sometimes a recommended thing that you can do

02:22is set it to like a 2x write speed or whatever the lowest write speed is supported by your drive

02:28and disc. So go ahead and write the image file to the disc. Once that's completed it will tell you

02:34that the operation has completed successfully. Click OK and you now have the Blu-ray disc burned and then

02:39we can simply eject the disc and insert it into the PS4. So once you have it inserted into the PS4 it

02:45should look something like this. So if we head over to our settings and go to the network settings we can

02:49see that the connect to internet option is disabled. Now you don't have to stay offline but just for the

02:55sake of showing that it can work as an offline solution I'm going to stay offline here for this

03:00setup. So I'm not connecting to the internet here. I still recommend going to system and automatic

03:06downloads and making sure you uncheck the boxes here so that you don't have system software update

03:12files selected. Just in case there's any you know system updates on a game disc for instance that try to

03:18get installed when you launch it. It might be worth just disabling those even if you're offline.

03:24And then also in your system information this jailbreak only works up to firmware 12.02

03:29so as long as your system software version is anything from 0.9.00 to 12.02 any firmware in between

03:37you're fine to set up the jailbreak here but if you're higher than 12.02 this jailbreak is patched

03:43so you will not be able to use this. Now there is one issue about this being a completely offline

03:48solution. It's technically not completely offline if you've never loaded a blu-ray disc on your ps4 in

03:54the past on that console because if you're loading a blu-ray disc for the first time ever it does

03:59require an internet connection to enable blu-ray playback. Unfortunately if you do get this message

04:05you will need to connect to the internet just temporarily so that you can enable that feature

04:10so that when you load the blu-ray disc it will allow it to load and you can say yes to enable the

04:15blu-ray live feature bd live just say yes to enable that if you're running the disc for the first time

04:21and then you can immediately disconnect from the internet again once you've done that. Hopefully

04:26if you've loaded a blu-ray disc on your ps4 in the past then you can stay offline and it should load

04:31just fine. Also if you have HDCP disabled it will not allow you to launch the blu-ray disc so that option

04:37needs to be enabled in your system settings in order to get the blu-ray disc to launch. So anyway

04:43with that all said and done here we should be all good to go so I can go ahead and run the blu-ray disc

04:49and I do not have a USB drive or anything inserted. I don't have you know the payload already on the

04:56hard drive or anything so we're basically dealing with a stock system here with no jailbreak previously

05:02set up. So what happens is the disc runs and we get our notification version 1.2 the AIO patch gets

05:11completed which fixes the black screen and save data corruption and then it finds the payload on

05:16the disc and it then copies it to the data folder so that the next time we launch it it will just run

05:22from the data folder on the hard drive instead of the one on the disc and there we go we get gold

05:27hen loaded which is our jailbreak. Now obviously this will not work first time necessarily so when

05:33you first load this it might say the jailbreak failed and you need to reboot in which case you

05:38just restart the PS4 and try again no big deal just keep doing that until it eventually works. So we now

05:44have gold hen running completely off the disc without any USB drive or anything else required there

05:49but that is not all so if we go ahead and close this now what we can see here if I go to the gold

05:56hen settings and the plug-in settings we do not have the plug-ins loader or the game patch plug-in

06:02installed so there's no cheats patches or plug-ins installed but we can install everything we need

06:07here from the disc because if I go to the gold hen settings and then the debug settings package installer

06:13you'll see that a bunch of homebrew applications show up a bunch of package files and these are all

06:20stored on the disc itself so we can just select install all and we can get all of our main homebrew

06:26applications installed. Now I just added the main sort of utility homebrew applications onto the disc

06:33obviously there's lots of other homebrew applications for customization and various other features

06:37but these are sort of the main homebrew applications that give you additional functionality with the

06:43console the ones that I would definitely recommend having so they're all available here on the disc it

06:49will take a little bit longer to install them from the disc because obviously the read speed is slower

06:53than reading it off a USB drive or off the hard drive so it will take a little bit longer to install

06:59these but they are pretty small homebrew applications so it should only take a few seconds to install each one

07:05and that will get all of your main homebrew applications installed off the disc

07:10so again no need for an internet connection to install these or for another device like a USB drive

07:17so there we go just like that we now have all of these homebrew applications we've got the homebrew store

07:22ps4 explorer version 2 items flow we've got the ps4 cheats manager payload guest and the apollo save tool

07:29for managing your save files we'll just hit the options button and add these to a folder

07:34and I will go ahead and call this folder homebrew so homebrew and then we'll select all of our homebrew applications

07:40that we just installed and we'll click ok and the great thing is we can always reinstall these

07:46so if they ever get removed or deleted we can just insert this disc again and go back to the package installer

07:52and reinstall them again from the disc whenever we want to which is pretty great so all of those are now installed

07:58now another thing we can do is also install the payloads for payload guest because if you're offline

08:04then getting access to the payloads with this jailbreak is quite tricky

08:08because normally we load the payloads from like a web-based exploit

08:12so we need to use payload guest so we could install those so that we can run the payloads offline

08:17and then also the cheats patches and plugins for gold hen we also want to install those as well

08:22so what we can do is simply head over to ps4 explorer

08:25and this will allow us to install everything else that we need

08:30so we'll select the root access option and then simply select the mnt folder

08:36and then the disc folder and then we have an extras folder if we select that option with x

08:43and then we've got two folders here cheats manager and payloads

08:46we can press r1 to select both of these folders so they're both highlighted

08:50and then press triangle and select the option to copy both of them

08:54then we simply press circle three times to get back to the root directory

08:59and then go up to the data folder here on the hard drive

09:02and simply press the triangle button and paste them in here

09:07and then just let that copy again it may take a little while

09:10because it has to copy them off the disc with the lower read speeds

09:13but as you can see we now have the cheats manager folder and the payloads folder now installed

09:18so what this means is that for one if we load up payload guest

09:23we should have all of the payloads available here

09:25so we can load any payload we want from here

09:27so if I go ahead and run say the disable updates payload

09:31you can see it runs there disabled updates ps4 12.02

09:34now because we're running gold hen updates are already disabled anyway

09:39gold hen automatically blocks system updates

09:42it basically applies the update blocker by itself

09:44so that's not a requirement to run the disable updates payload

09:49that's just an example of loading a payload there

09:52so all your payloads are now available

09:54and then also we can finally install the cheats patches and plugins

09:57using the ps4 cheats manager

10:00we'll be able to see here that we don't currently have any cheats patches and plugins installed

10:05if I select cheats it says no data found patches

10:08this game patch plugin is not installed and then there's no data found

10:12so if I go to the update section here

10:14I can go to update cheats patches and plugins from the hdd

10:18select that option and we can see we have a cheats.zip patches.zip and plugins.zip now available

10:25so I can just select cheats with x

10:27and that will extract those files which were copied off the disk with ps4 exploder to the data folder

10:34so there we go successfully installed the offline cheat data

10:37and then we'll do the same with the patches

10:39and that will install the patches and then the plugins

10:41and that will install the plugins

10:43there we go done

10:44so now you'll see that if I go over to the cheats section

10:48we do in fact have a bunch of game cheats available

10:51so there we are 2864 cheats available

10:55as you can see they're all showing up in here

10:57and then the same thing with the patches

11:00you can see that we do in fact have a bunch of patches

11:04427 patches available

11:07so well 427 games with various patches available

11:13so if we go ahead and press circle and then exit to xmb

11:15to close out of this application

11:18we have everything installed

11:19so if I head over to the gold hand settings

11:21I can go to the plugin settings

11:23enable the plugins loader

11:24and the game patch plugin is all available

11:27so that is the general idea here guys

11:29you can set up the entire jailbreak from scratch

11:32just using the blu-ray disk

11:34so you've got the gold hand payload that is on the disk

11:37it will only load it from the disk again

11:40if there is not a payload already on the hard drive

11:43or the usb drive

11:44so it will favor loading from the usb drive first

11:47so that you can easily update the gold hand payload

11:50on the hard drive if you need to

11:51just load it with a usb drive plugged in

11:54that has the updated payload on there

11:56and it will load that version

11:58and copy it to the hard drive

11:59so whenever you load the disk in future

12:01it will load the updated version

12:02so it's very easy to update gold hand

12:04just like the original project

12:06but only if there isn't a payload already available

12:09on the usb or on the hard drive

12:12will it load the one from the disk

12:14if you don't have either option

12:15so it will be able to load it

12:18from just the disk if necessary

12:19and then also we've got all of the homebrew applications

12:22that we can install from the disk as well

12:24using the package installer

12:26and then you can also install the additional extras

12:28like the payloads for payload guest

12:30and the cheats patches and plugins

12:32using the ps4 explorer application

12:34and the ps4 cheats managers

12:36and this is version 1.2

12:38of Gajinez Blu-ray exploits

12:40which means it also has the AIO fix patch applied

12:43so that when we load certain games

12:45that were previously having black screen

12:47or save data corruption issues

12:49those issues are also resolved

12:51in this particular version

12:52so it applies the patch automatically

12:54when you load the exploit

12:56the AIO patch

12:58which fixes the black screen issues

13:00allowing games like this to launch normally

13:02so there we go

13:03so that's basically it

13:05that's how you can set up the jailbreak

13:06fully, completely offline

13:08with everything included

13:09that you need on the one disk
