Victoria's High Country on Friday, October 3rd, 2025. The bodies of the women were found together

near a remote hut at Nelsa, 400 kilometres northeast from Melbourne. Their deaths are

not being treated as suspicious. Temperatures in the area where they were found had dropped

to minus 2.8 degrees with winds of up to 83 kilometres per hour. A recovery operation was

conducted on Saturday and police say they are still working to identify the women so that they

may contact their next of kin. Yeah of course anybody you know traversing the hill we always ask them to

the mountainous area. There are intentions books that are maintained at the base of the mountains
