00:00In the United States, citizens continue to rally against President Trump's anti-immigrant policies
00:04while the executive deploys more federal troops to suppress the protests in different cities.
00:09Let's hear more details with our correspondent, Jorge Estoso.
00:14At this hour, troops from the Department of War,
00:17ordered by the Secretary of Homeland Security,
00:21are on their way to Chicago, a sanctuary city,
00:25in order to quell the protests against the policies of anti-immigration of this government.
00:33Most definitely, there have been protests all along this area,
00:39just facing the headquarters of the ICE headquarters,
00:43and there have been arrests, there have been detentions against in the last hour.
00:49But the thing that was really calling the attention of all the media,
00:52even in the United States, and the repudiation of most of the American people
00:57are images that show a raid that has been taking place the night before yesterday
01:04in a south building of Chicago,
01:07where 300 members of ICE and the National Guard
01:11were taking the residents of that building,
01:15mostly Venezuelans and Afro-Americans,
01:18even in the middle of the night with a helicopter surveilling the area,
01:25and they were taking into detention.
01:29Some people, we're talking about 37 of them,
01:33that there were Venezuelans, Mexican, Colombians and Nigerians,
01:39with the argument that they are members of the trend of Aragua drug cartel,
01:46and there is no proof at all.
01:49But most definitely, the idea, what it was showing,
01:53is an increased use of violence in these procedures.
01:58So much so, that Veronica Castro,
02:00that is a member of a coalition in defense of the immigrants,
02:05says, quote,
02:07this is not security, this is terror.
