Tongue — Keep On Truckin' With Tongue 1969 (USA, Psychedelic, Blues Rock)
This Wisconsin band formed in 1967. Originally called the "Tennis Shoe Tongue Band," they shortened their name to "Tongue" in 1969 and recorded their first album, "Hemispheres," on Akarma Records. They never became A-list stars, but their live performances became legendary in the Midwest. They toured for about 10 years, playing up to 250 shows a year! They opened for Chuck Berry, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, and many others. The band disbanded in 1976. In 2000, the European label Gear Fab Records reissued the album on CD under the title Keep On Truckin' With Tongue. In addition to the original material from the 1969 album, it included two bonus tracks.
