00:00The family of Sean Diddy Combs have just heard the verdict.
00:06The disgraced music mogul will spend four years and two months in prison.
00:12A sentence handed down following his July conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
00:20I think the judge was very thoughtful.
00:24He didn't do the 11 years that the prosecutor wanted.
00:30He has to pay the price for what he did.
00:34Already serving time in prison for more than a year, Mr. Combs was acquitted on the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking,
00:42which carried the possibility of a life sentence.
00:45Looking visibly aged in the courtroom with gray hair and a beard, the former hip-hop star apologized,
00:51adding that he acted under the influence of drugs.
00:55His lawyers took issue with the length of the sentence.
00:58The jury's verdict was resoundingly clear.
01:01There was no sex trafficking.
01:03There was no racketeering.
01:04Everything was consensual.
01:06Everything was adult, which is why he was convicted only of the prostitution offense.
01:11What we feel happened today was that the judge acted as a 13th juror, one that we did not choose, and that he second-guessed the jury's verdict.
01:21Others were surprised at the length of the sentence for other reasons.
01:25At least he got something, you know, because a lot of us were he wasn't going to get anything.
01:29You know, he needs to be held accountable.
01:32It's justice for those who've been harmed.
01:34And in other ways, I'm not quite sure if this reflects what the necessary kind of punishment would be for such heinous crimes.
01:44Mr. Combs' lawyers have announced that they will appeal the decision.
01:49That we should take place.
01:50This is a session.
01:51This is a session.
01:52I think it's the session.
01:53I think it's the session.
01:54I'm not sure if anyone can't let go to the legislature.
01:55And to make sure if anybody sees a comment on that, they know that you want us to be involved.
01:56And we'll do it again.
01:58I think they can take a few minutes from all the time when a doctor who put the government on the opposite.
01:59After the law, they want me to go to the legislature.
02:00I think they want you to buy them.
02:01They can make the politicians and governments with them.
02:02It's a way to go to the legislature.
02:03It's the way for the legislature.
02:04Yeah.
02:05They want to go to the legislature.
02:06You don't have to sit on that issue.
02:08And they want me to earn.
