00:00Hello everyone, I'm so happy to be here to celebrate my beloved friend, but before we start, we'd like to give a big shout out to the fans here, and all the fans watching around the world on our live stream, presented by our media partner, Variety.
00:21Hi world. The Hollywood Walk of Fame recognizes achievement in the categories of motion pictures, radio, live theater, live performance, sports entertainment, recording and television.
00:34And today, in the category of television, we honor Lauren Graham with star number 2823 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
00:48It's hard for me not to look at the actual people, but I will be looking mostly at the cameras.
00:53Oh, he can handle it.
00:56Now, before we invite Lauren to the stage, let me tell you a little about our honoree.
01:01Lauren Graham is an award-winning actress, producer, and New York Times best-selling author, best known for her work on the critically acclaimed television shows Parenthood and Gilmore Girls.
01:13Her body of work is filled with feminist characters who are spirited, smart, and hilarious.
01:23For her performance as Lorelei Gilmore on Warner Brothers television's Gilmore Girls, where she also served as producer in its final season, Lauren was nominated for a Golden Globe Award,
01:35two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama Series, and two Television Critics Association Awards for individual achievement in both drama and comedy.
01:50Additionally, she earned two Teen Choice Awards, Jealous, a Best Actress nod from the Viewers for Quality Television, was honored by Planned Parenthood as a Champion of Choice for her work with Family Issues.
02:13Yep. Yep. Yep. On and off the screen. And she also was presented with the Barnard College Award Women of Achievement.
02:24She also starred on NBC in the critically acclaimed series Parenthood as Sarah Braverman.
02:31In 2016, Lauren reprised her beloved role as Lorelei Gilmore on Netflix in the four-part series Gilmore Girls, A Year in the Life.
02:462025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the show's premiere, and it still regularly appears in Netflix's Top Ten.
02:54Lauren's second essay collection, Have I Told You This Already?, was released in November of 2022, and it was her fourth book to appear on the New York Times Best Seller list.
03:07Her debut novel, Someday, Someday, Someday Maybe, the story of a struggling young actor trying to achieve her dreams in New York City, received glowing reviews and was called a charmer of a first novel by the Wall Street Journal.
03:22In 2016, she released Talking As Fast As I Can, a collection of humorous and heartfelt essays about her upbringing and her years spent as an aspiring actor in New York and Los Angeles.
03:35The book ran on the New York Times Best Seller list for multiple weeks.
03:40On stage, Lauren starred as Adelaide in the 2009 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls and as May Daniels in Once in a Lifetime at Williamstown Theatre Festival.

05:05Lauren is very involved in charity work as a Right Girl LA Mentor, that's W-R-I-T-E, Right Girl Mentor, and Volunteer, Ventura County Humane Society Volunteer,
