In Venezuela, various social movements have announced a series of public and cultural activities in solidarity with Palestine, reaffirming their commitment to the Palestinian cause and denouncing the actions of occupation and violence in the region. 00:05announced a series of activities in solidarity with the martyrs who fell in Gaza, in the Gaza Strip

00:18With the slogan Venezuela and Palestina struggle is the same citizens express their support for

00:23Gaza in the face of the extermination of the Palestinian people.

00:26We are all witnesses through the social networks, through the media, of a crime being committed

00:34by the terrorist regime of Israel.

00:44Against the people of Palestine, with the intention of exterminating the original people of Palestine

00:49with 11,000 years of history.

00:50From October 7, 2023 to the present, the Israeli army has killed more than 67,000 Palestinians,

01:02most of them elderly women and children, causing worldwide outrage.

01:06But we have to do more. In Venezuela we have to make the most creative acts, the most beautiful

01:16events. We have to have the most massive demonstrations because we know the pain of the Palestinian people,

01:23and we know that the defense of the Palestinian people is the defense of Venezuela. It is the

01:28defense of the oppressed peoples of the world. It is the defense of Africa.

01:32Palestinian refugees asserted that they have the right to be free in their land.

01:41We are a people who long for freedom and are willing to die for it. We want to live our freedom

01:50with willpower and right in our land, and freed from occupation and colonialism, both ancient

01:56and modern.

02:02From the headquarters of Telesur in Caracas, the communicators raised their voice in protest

02:08against the more than 300 journalists murdered in Gaza.

02:11This crime does not only affect Palestine. The whole of humanity is being attacked in its right to

02:20receive and provide information. The journalists of the world are being humiliated, mocked, dismissed

02:25by a criminal policy of a regime that has shown ample evidence of being the enemy of peace.

02:30We want to tell you, wherever you are, to those journalists who have died doing their duty, who

02:41have fought for the right to information, that we, the journalists of Telesur, the journalists of the

02:45global south, the journalists gathered here, and the media that are distributing this information,

02:51we are your time, you are in us, your voice is in us, and we commit ourselves every day to tell

02:55what is happening. We commit ourselves not to faint. We commit ourselves to be strong in

03:02the face of the terrible images we see every morning, every day.
