00:00How about the New York Yankees? When you talk about superstars stepping up in the biggest moment,
00:03did you expect your superstar to be Cam Schlittler? He was phenomenal yesterday.
00:07Eight innings pitched, 12 strikeouts, five hits against, no earned runs, 107 pitches, Joe.
00:15When you needed a hero, Cam was your hero.
00:20Yep, he was. 24 years old, Donnie, and he is out of his mind last night.
00:26The kid was locked in, and I got news for her. Listen, it was a great, you know, something tells me, you know,
00:32early in Schlittler here, we're going to have this battle over the next decade, a lot with the Red Sox and the Yankees.
00:40But this kid was just, he was fearless, man. You know, he's throwing pitches, triple digits, every inning,
00:47even into the seventh inning, he was hitting there. Then he throws these ridiculous off-speed pitches.
00:53I mean, he was just, he had them guessing, he had them talking to themselves the entire time.
01:00And for the Yankees, listen, they took advantage of that big inning in the fourth.
01:04And quite honestly, when you got a guy like that out on the mound, the thing I was worried about,
01:09I'm like, oh, Boone's going to pull him. Like, but Boone didn't get in his own way.
01:13He let the kid go out there for eight. And that was that.
01:17And then, you know, Bednard comes in back-to-back. I think he pitched in all three games,
01:22in fact, here, and gets the door closed. So just like that, the Yankees advance in what was,
01:29you know, we should, all of this series should come down to what it did last night.
01:33But Schlittler is a star in the making here. I can't wait to see what he does with Toronto.
01:37We'll see you next time.
