00:00Sunday Night Baseball. Last night saw the New York Yankees upend the Boston Red Sox 7-2.
00:05Why was that a big score? Because we almost had a sweep by the Boston Red Sox of four games at
00:09Yankee Stadium, which would have been devastating. Still was devastating to lose that series 3-1,
00:14but you salvage the final game and you move on. Carlos Rodonjo, five and two-third innings pitched,
00:18one hit, two earned runs, three strikeouts, and five walks. Dustin May on the mound on the other
00:23side, four and a third innings pitched, five hits, five home runs. The long ball was used by the New
00:27York Yankees to pick up that victory, but also understand this. Anthony Volpe, starting shortstop,
00:32struggling at the plate, struggling in the field, was benched last night, and the Yankees came away
00:36with that victory. Yeah, they did. I believe he did come in late in the game last night. Did
00:43actually feel the ball and didn't throw it over the first baseman's head, so that's a good thing,
00:49though. But listen, I mean, Boone had to do something. A lot of people are going, what's
00:53taken so long? He's been a liability at the plate. He's been a defensive liability all year long.
01:00You know, it's time to mix it up, and obviously that shows you how desperate the Yankees were
01:05yesterday. They had stuck with him longer than most, but there's no guarantee he's in the lineup
01:11tonight either. I would not be shocked, Donnie, if he's not playing in this one either.
