00:12i'm michael fortune and today we're exploring a timeless question what is the will of god

00:20many of us have asked this especially in seasons of decision uncertainty or waiting

00:27but the truth is god's will is not leading it's revealed daily through his word his spirit

00:35and even in our life experiences how can we understand the will of god romans chapter 12

00:43verse 2 says do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your

00:48mind then you will be able to test and approve what god's will is is good pleasing and perfect will

00:55that means god's will isn't meant to be a mystery it's something we discover as we grow closer to him

01:02but what does that look like in real life starting with joseph he was sold into slavery

01:09falsely accused and thrown into prison that didn't look like the will of god did it no it didn't

01:16but years later joseph became second in command in egypt one of the world most powerful place

01:23at the time and throwing god saved a whole nation from famine sometimes the will of god doesn't feel

01:31good in the moment but it's always working toward a greater good even jesus in luke chapter 22 verse 42

01:39prayed in jetsmen father if you are willing take this cup from me yet not my will but your will be done

01:48let me talk to him i came from a place where the will of god was nothing at all we don't even care

01:57if there was a god we doing it our ways trying to keep the paper rolling just grinding but when peace

02:02was the need my soul thirsted for jesus talk tough but my heart was bleeding fake love fast life but i

02:09stayed needed ain't no bottle blunt or flex could feel that god size hoe only christ could heal i saw

02:15my dogs fall off cold nights no peace but he pulled me out the storm like he split that seed gave me

02:20purpose peace a brand new name from running with the streets to praising his name now i'm here with a

02:26mic and a message to send his will ain't a trap it's where real life begins tears dry chains broke vision

02:33restored his love wrote my story now i'm praising the lord god's will led to the cross but also to

02:42resurrection salvation and eternal life for all who believe now let's talk about today there are

02:50people who left jobs they thought were their dream roles only to walk into purpose they never imagined

02:56ministries missions or businesses that impact thousands some relationships ended painfully

03:04and people later realized it was god's protection sometimes god closes doors not to punish us but to

03:12redirect us maybe you are facing that now a delayed opportunity a blocked path i know you didn't expect

03:20but could it be god is saying trust me i see the bigger picture in this age of quick fixes and

03:27instant choices uh you know it's easy to chase our own plans but the will of god brings peace not

03:34pressure even when it stretches us it aligns us with purpose now here's one of the few ways to align

03:40with god's will you know you may be asking how do i know if i'm in god's will one does it line up with

03:48god's word two does it bring peace even in challenge three does it be a good fruit in your life and

03:56others and if you are not sure just ask him you know james chapter 1 verse 5 says if anyone lacks

04:02wisdom let him ask of god and to be given god is not hiding his will from you he wants to walk with

04:10you through it let us pray father thank you for your will that is good pleasing and perfect help us

04:18to trust when we don't understand to surrender when we want control and to wait when we feel rushed

04:25reveal your will to us through your word through peace and through wisdom in jesus name amen
