00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Change Weather Update for Friday.

00:04We have got a system that is building off the coast today.

00:07We're not seeing anything from that today.

00:09Let's have a look, otherwise it's fairly clear skies, some of that high cloud building.

00:13So look, during the day on Friday, there it is by the very end of it, so it's hardly anything today.

00:18Instead, we've got all of the heat that is now in through here.

00:21It's in the eastern parts.

00:23The cool change has moved right in through here by the end of Friday.

00:26So no more of that heat for us.

00:28That is heading eastwards.

00:29So we've got this system moving in.

00:31Have a look at Saturday.

00:32There it is across the southwestern corner, plus a feed of moisture that will be moving in from the northwest.

00:38So there's this band and there is this band and there is this gap that is in the middle.

00:42That's during the day on Saturday.

00:43Have a look at Sunday.

00:45There we go with our big feed of moisture that is coming through less in the southwest because that has now moved in.

00:51So that's where our band of rain is during the day on Sunday.

00:55Heading into Monday, that's still moving on through.

00:57Heat is all the way up in through here, but it's definitely building.

01:00So there's a big pool of heat that is to our north.

01:03As soon as our winds can go in the right direction, then we're going to see it down here.

01:06But that's not next week.

01:07Here is our band of moisture that's moving through.

01:09Heavier falls that are out in through here.

01:12Nothing really.

01:12You're watching that southwestern corner.

01:14That's Monday.

01:15Let's have a look at Tuesday.

01:16There's the remains of that band still going.

01:18Here's the next weather system that is moving across.

01:20It is just a glancing blow to us in the southwest here.

01:24We're hardly going to see much from it.

01:25As we move into Wednesday, there that moves across.

01:28Here's the next band of ridge of high pressure that is moving in.

01:31And still the remains of that band coming down.

01:33But we're not seeing that.

01:35There's into Wednesday, into Thursday and into next Friday.

01:38Okay, here is all of that heat.

01:40We'll be waiting for our winds to turn north to northeasterly for that to come right on down.

01:44Okay, what is that going to add up to?

01:46Let's talk about this part of the band of rain first of all.

01:49Because we could get some big heavy falls, very significant, that are moving in through here.

01:53Even 15 to 25 that is in the middle part.

01:57So that's that one.

01:58Very slow moving across several days as it comes in.

02:01In the southwest though, we see the start of that band in through here.

02:04But in the southwestern corner, really 15 to 25, maybe 25 to 50.

02:09But 15 to 25 across the course of the entire week, mainly with that surge coming through during the day on Saturday.

02:16All right, so what can we expect in Perth here?

02:18We've got skies, cloud building that is during the day.

02:21We're about 22, 21 into tomorrow and then 17 by the time we get to Sunday.

02:26So here's our burst of wet weather, 10 millimetres into 3 millimetres.

02:31Let's unpack the timing of this.

02:32So during the day on Friday, we're not seeing anything.

02:35It kicks off in the early hours of Saturday morning.

02:38So here's our rainfall that's coming through.

02:40And once it comes in, it is with us through the rest of the day and into Sunday now, early and late.

02:46There it is, clearing out by dawn on Sunday morning.

02:49We've got a dry day ahead.

02:51Then it comes back in the evening.

02:52So Saturday is the wet day.

02:54Sunday during the day is looking quite dry.

02:57Moving into next week, partly cloudy.

02:59We've got 20, 19, 21, 23.

03:02We're not seeing that burst of heat returning just yet.

03:05But do keep in mind that it is not far away and just needs the winds to move in the right direction.

03:09In terms of wet weather, there's not a lot next week.

03:12It's mainly on Saturday into the early hours of Sunday that we see that.
