The first AFC opponent for the #Cowboys is the Jets β€” and there's some deep history here. πŸ‘€

Brian Schottenheimer was the OC in NYJ when they last made the AFC Championship (2010). Led the league in rushing.

Now in Dallas, his squad is one of 4 teams to rush for 100+ yds in every game. πŸ§ βž‘οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨

00:00The first AFC opponent for Dallas this season is the New York Jets on Sunday.
00:09And while these two sides don't get to play one another often,
00:12head coach Brian Schottenheimer has an interesting personal tie
00:15between both the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets.
00:19Schottenheimer's first time being an offensive coordinator
00:21was for the Jets back in the 2006 through 2011 seasons.
00:26He helped the Jets earn back-to-back appearances in the AFC Championship game in 2009
00:31and most recently in 2010,
00:35the last time Dallas' opponent this Sunday appeared in such a game.
00:39Back then, he was the offensive coordinator for a Jets team
00:42that was leading the NFL in rushing yards.
00:45And now, fast forward to 2025,
00:48Schottenheimer is the head coach of a team that is just one of four
00:52to rush for 100 or more yards in each game so far this season.
00:57So one thing has remained the same for Schottenheimer over all of these years,
01:01success in the ground game.
01:03For all things Dallas Cowboys,
