00:00Pemerintah Amerika Serikat resmi melakukan government shutdown
00:30Well, the Democrats want to shut it down.
00:32So when you shut it down, you have to do layoffs.
00:34So we'd be laying off a lot of people that are going to be very affected.
00:38And the Democrats, they're going to be Democrats.
00:41As you know, we, this country, no country can afford to pay for illegal immigration,
00:46health care for everybody that comes into the country.
00:48And that's what they're insisting.
00:50And obviously I have an obligation to not accept that.
00:53That would affect everybody.
00:55You know, when I see what we're doing with AI and all the plants that are opening up in the country,
00:59$17 trillion is coming.
01:01And if you compare that to Biden, Biden had, in four years, less than a trillion.
01:06We have $17 trillion, more than that.
01:08I think it's going to be much more than that, David, by the end of this year.
01:12I think it's going to be far over.
01:14That's a record.
01:14It's already a record in eight months.
01:17It's a record by a lot.
01:18And so we're doing well as a country.
01:20So the last thing we want to do is shut it down.
01:22But a lot of good can come down from shut it down.
01:26We can get rid of a lot of things that we didn't want.
01:29And they'd be Democrat things.
01:31But they want open borders.
01:32They want men playing in women's sports.
01:35They want transgender for everybody.
01:36They never stop.
01:37They don't learn.
01:38We won an election in a landslide.
01:40They just don't learn.
01:41So we have no choice.
01:42I have to do that for the country.
01:57yang memiliki dampak besar.
02:32Tetapi, kegiatan esensial terus berjalan.
03:42We're going to shut down your government.
03:43That's exactly what they're proposing out there.
03:45First of all, we have to keep essential services functioning as well as possible
03:49if the Democrats shut down the government, and Russ has been tasked with making sure that's possible.
03:53Now, you asked about negotiations.
03:54One of the things I admired about the president, but frankly the entire team's approach
03:57during the conversation we just had with Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries,
04:01was, you know, yeah, they have some crazy ideas.
04:03Giving taxpayer money to illegal aliens for health care, that's a crazy idea.
04:07Funding transgender surgeries in Peru, that's a crazy idea.
04:10But they had some ideas that I actually thought were reasonable,
04:12and they had some ideas that the president thought was reasonable.
04:14What's not reasonable is to hold those ideas as leverage
04:19and to shut down the government unless we give you everything that you want.
04:22There were multiple times where Leader Jeffries or Leader Schumer would say,
04:26you know what, we should be doing this, and the president of the United States would say,
04:28yeah, absolutely, let's have that conversation.
04:31But we're going to do it in the context of the people's government being open.
04:34We're not going to let you take the people's government hostage
04:36and then give you everything that you want.
04:38And that's really the state of the negotiation.
04:41Yeah, let's have a conversation. Let's have a negotiation.
04:44We're not going to shut down the government
04:45because we won't give the Democrats everything that they want.
04:48This is the first shutdown of the government
04:50from the United States since seven years ago.
04:53In the 2018, the U.S. has experienced a federal government
04:58over the years over 35 days.
05:00Government shutdown kali ini terjadi setelah Presiden AS Donald Trump
05:04dan juga Perlemen gagal mencapai kesepakatan anggaran.
05:08I think, in general, I actually, as much as it's impacting me personally,
05:13I think it's the right thing to do for the Democratic Party.
05:18I personally think what they're fighting for,
05:20which is health care really for millions of people.
05:24I pay for my own health care,
05:25so I know what it feels like to have health premiums go up.
05:29And I think if the Democrats were to proceed
05:34and find some negotiation without getting the health care for millions,
05:39they would just be signing up for a government that the people don't want.
05:44So when I first heard about it, I did some reading on that.
05:48So because in India, we don't have government shutdowns.
05:52So this concept is entirely new to me,
05:56that the government between the legislation and executive
05:59can find some differences and they can shut down.
06:02So this concept is totally alien to me, coming from an Indian perspective.
06:07So I think, I guess there's something new to the American way of governance.
06:12So yeah, it's different.
06:14I am not for it. I am totally against it.
06:17I think that both sides of our government need to come together and stop this.
06:21ridiculous fight, there is no reason for our government to shut down.
06:28Trump menyalahkan Partai Demokrat atas kegagalan itu.
06:31Ia mengancam akan memanfaatkan masa shutdown ini
06:34untuk memangkas program-program progresif.
06:37Adapun, shutdown ini merupakan yang ke-15 sejak tahun 1981.
06:42Akibatnya, penelitian ilmiah, pengawasan keuangan,
06:47program membersihan lingkungan, hingga layan publik ikut terhenti.
06:55Melansir dari Kompas.com, Director Center of Economic and Law Studies,
06:59Selyos Bima Yudistira mengatakan,
