00:00You cannot be Muslim more than me.
00:02You will not be more Arab than I.
00:04So why is it that I banned the Muslim Brotherhood and you haven't?
00:07Istanbul, alhamdulillah, now in our hands.
00:10Rome one day will be in our hands.
00:13And every house and every tent will have a Muslim in it.
00:18Why is it the fact that Islamic Relief is banned in UAE and it's banned in Mecca,
00:22but is allowed in Paris and in London?
00:25So yeah, there is a lot of questions to be asked.
00:27More British citizens travelled to the Islamic State to fight in its ranks
00:33than joined the British armed forces.
00:36We are coming and we will destroy you.
00:39The problem is not with the freedom of speech.
00:41The problem is that there is an evil inside your society now
00:46using that policy of freedom of speech to abuse it and to destroy your society.
00:53My name is Stefan Thompson.
00:54I'm the founder of Visagrad 24 and I'm here in the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.
00:59And today I am with Amjad Tahir, an Emirati geopolitical expert and a great advocate of peace.
01:07Amjad.
01:08Thank you for having me.
01:09Fantastic to be here with you.
01:12Great to see you finally.
01:13Finally.
01:14Amjad, let's start with the differences between Islam here in the United Arab Emirates
01:21and the Islam that we see on our TV screens, the Islam of radicalism that we see everywhere.
01:29When you see on our TVs, I think, I believe the West is what you mean.
01:35And on the West, what we see also, we are very shocked most of the time.
01:40You see radical Islamists and Brotherhood who are former terrorists or terrorists themselves,
01:49but in the West they have been named as activists.
01:54Those who run away from justice in their own country and those who committed a crime
02:00have been involved in various heinous acts such as rape and beheading and so on.
02:07All of those individuals right now, they live in the West as teachers, as lecturers, as doctors,
02:15and as protesters, as protesters who protest to glorify the Muslim Brotherhood,
02:22the armed forces at least of the Muslim Brotherhood, as we see after the 7th of October, by that time in Hamas.
02:29They glorify terrorism and all forms of terrorism.
02:33And they do not respect the rules and the regulation of the countries that they say.
02:37They went there and they had refugee status there.
02:41And as they get the citizenship, they start recruiting the citizens of the West to become hostages
02:50of the Islamist propaganda all the way in the Middle East, which their parents ran away from them.
02:57And they went to the West and they became a citizen.
03:00However, this new generation of theirs, they start becoming the recruiters of those Islamists in the Middle East.
03:07And they're right now at the stage of making more lone wolves.
03:12And we saw that lone wolves policy of ISIS.
03:16A lot of those extremists who were European went all the way and became members of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
03:26They actually were members of the Green Lane Mosque, for example,
03:30in Birmingham, in the UK, in Small Heath or in Sheffield or in West Sydney, Australia or in Canada.
03:39So they were part of that civilized culture and that civilization, great civilization in the West.
03:45However, because of the scholars that Britain, Canada or Australia or any other country,
03:54ignoring or ignorance of the fact that this scholar is recruiting and is not speaking about religion,
04:01is actually using the space and the place in the West and the freedom of speech
04:07to make these children or these students or these people in the West to become the hostage of the Islamists
04:18and then later on to become the soldier that kills his own neighbor.
04:22I saw a really shocking statistic speaking about Westerners who joined ISIS.
04:27More British citizens traveled to the Islamic State to fight in its ranks than joined the British Armed Forces.
04:36Yeah, the numbers are huge.
04:39We're speaking about more than 7,000, I think, some of the Westerners who at least hold a European passport.
04:47Why do you think Islamism is finding such fertile soil in Europe?
04:54Two things.
04:55Well, various things, to be honest, not the two things.
04:58The first thing is the fact that they abuse the freedom of speech.
05:04So what they do, they use the freedom of speech to justify anti-Semitism, for example,
05:12and they turn the anti-Semitism to become an opinion rather than a crime.
05:18Sure.
05:18So that space of freedom, but the fact that Europeans or the West need to understand,
05:27these Islamists right now, they know the era.
05:30They know this problem that you're having.
05:33Yes, the problem is not with the freedom of speech.
05:36The problem is that there is an evil inside your society now.
05:40It's becoming a member of your society using that policy of freedom of speech to abuse it
05:46and to destroy your society, to destroy your universities.
05:51At one point, universities such as Harvard University, Oxford University,
05:54and those prestigious universities, people in the East and the West,
05:59they want to become a member of or they want to study or teach there.
06:03Right now, when I remember Harvard University, I remember protests where Jewish students get persecuted,
06:11be swore at, be insulted.
06:13It's a place, as much as I see from the images recently, for riots, for people insulting each other,
06:24for teachers getting attacked or having a different perspective or opinion,
06:30people fighting, people with masks covering their faces with flags of terrorists, Hamas, Hezbollah, and all this.
06:37So they turn the place of education and knowledge to a war zone.
06:42When that happens, your civilization is either going down or it's breaking,
06:52and it's breaking under your observation.
06:56You are allowing it to happen.
06:57You can put rules and regulations, deport those Islamists.
07:02Do not let them harm your children.
07:04Do not let them harm your society, your community.
07:07Do not let them be the people who wake up on the 8th of October, for example,
07:13and tell you to boycott Khala, attack a Jewish restaurant just for being a Jew.
07:21And they justify it and they allow it.
07:24Don't be.
07:25This is your country.
07:26This is your civilization.
07:27You pointed out deportations, which I obviously couldn't agree more with.
07:34However, one of the structural problems that we have in Europe, certainly Western Europe,
07:40all the data that I have seen points to the fact that second and third generation migrants
07:46are much more likely to be radicals than first generation migrants,
07:51which means that if we are talking about France, many of the migrants are obviously from the
07:57Maghreb region, Indonesia, Algeria, Morocco.
08:02In the UK, many come from Pakistan, Somalia.
08:07The second and third generation is more likely to be radicalized, and they are already citizens.
08:12Now, how do you deal with a radicalized second or third generation migrant that you cannot deport
08:21because he is a citizen of your country?
08:23Yeah.
08:23With those, you change the rules and the regulation when it comes to radicalization.
08:29For example, one great example of this is the fact that why did they become radical?
08:35I would say there's many, many, many, many reasons.
08:39One of which is they do have their own, they start separating themselves from the rest of
08:46the country and the rest of the community.
08:48One.
08:49Two, they start having those schools, what we call the jihadist school of Saturday, Sunday,
08:56so on weekend.
08:58Now, why did the government allow those scholars to be the scholars of those mosques?
09:04If the scholar does not support coexistent peace, prosperity and tolerance,
09:08it should not be that teacher of that new generation.
09:15Because what that student goes or that person when he attends the mosque is going there for
09:19their knowledge, for spirituality and so on.
09:22Now, when you have the scholar himself who is the evil, the result of that is the conduct
09:28of evil which the individual himself will carry and do.
09:32The change for that is the educational system.
09:34So, there is, there need to be first, look into those mosques, look into the societies,
09:40bring them more close to each other, that they need to have a lot of activities together
09:47and so on.
09:47And also, why is it the fact that a person that lives in Dubai, a Muslim person, from the same
09:55background of the person that lives in France or in UK, third, fourth generation here, they're
10:03still open-minded, they're still Muslim, they're still conservative, yet they're not radical,
10:08they're not supporters or glorifiers of terrorists.
10:11But a person who is a Muslim living all the way in France or Britain is more radicalized
10:17and is more, there is more likely that he's going to become a member of the ISIS or a Muslim
10:22Brotherhood's terrorist organization.
10:24The fact that the West up to this point, the media is justifying the existence of, for example,
10:30Islamic Relief as a charity organization in UK or in the West.
10:35Why? It's not a charity organization, it's a foundation or organization that steals the
10:41money from the West, the pockets of the people who are willing to help, yet he takes that money
10:45and he gives it to organizations, terrorist organizations in the Middle East, under the
10:50name of a school and hospitals, but those schools are run by actual Islamist terrorists who fund
10:57and support even Hamas.
10:59Unbelievable.
10:59You cannot be Muslim more than me.
11:03You will not be more Arab than I.
11:07So why is it that I banned the Muslim Brotherhood and you haven't?
11:12Why is it the fact that Islamic Relief is banned in UAE and is banned in Mecca, which is allowed
11:18in Paris and in London?
11:22So it's, yeah, there is a lot of questions to be asked.
11:24Yeah, I think there's many, many more questions that we will explore in a follow-up to this.
11:31This has been a very good warm-up session.
11:34Thank you for an upcoming series of videos with Amjad.
11:37Amjad, thank you so much.
