00:00It's a historic exhibition. The auction house Sotheby's opened its first ever fine art exhibition in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
00:10And it's also its most valuable in the region.
00:15As for the paintings on show, they are not just any paintings. Among them, three have not been seen by the public in over 50 years.
00:25Well, the six paintings that are in this room represent some of the greatest names in all of art history, certainly of the 19th and 20th century.
00:35And I would argue that between Vincent van Gogh and Frida Kahlo, you have probably the most famous male and female artists in the world today.
00:44The value of these six works collectively is around $150 million, and that's our pre-sale estimate.
00:51So we are confident at the end of the day that this group will sell for much more than that.
00:59The exhibition runs until Thursday, and the artworks are then set to move to London and Paris before auctions in New York in November.
01:09In parallel, Sotheby's Dubai is hosting its own exhibition running until 3rd of October.
