00:12We've been hard at work scouring the Astelsea

00:14to bring you a collection of content

00:16that goes to the farthest reaches of the unknown.

00:18So without further ado,

00:20I'm excited to announce

00:22Expansion Pass 3.

00:24Michelle, as our resident

00:26narrative wizard,

00:28are we expecting the story in Expansion Pass 3?

00:30Expansion Pass 3 brings us to

00:32new corners of the Astelsea.

00:34We see some new faces, some old ones

00:36and people who have played a

00:38smaller role before can now step

00:40into the spotlight. Can you give us any details?

00:42Any names? I don't want to spoil

00:44anything, but

00:46for Secrets of the Archmages we will be

00:48revisiting a wizard that has

00:50gone through a lot recently

00:52and one fiery lady wizard

00:54who is out for revenge.

00:56So Tom. Hello.

00:58We've done a lot of reworks of old systems in the past.

01:00Is that continuing in Expansion Pass 3?

01:02I think so. I think that while we love

01:04what we put into the base game,

01:05there's always room for improvement.

01:06And as always, all reworks will be

01:08coming as part of a free update.

01:14What has been your favourite thing to work on

01:16for Expansion Pass 3?

01:17Hard question.

01:18So far, I think it has to be

01:20Rise from Ruin.

01:21Getting to work on a post-apocalyptic setting

01:23with sandworms and scorpions is very exciting.

01:25What inspired the design choices

01:27behind Expansion Pass 3?

01:28Well, in the previous expansions

01:30we've been looking into the history

01:31of Age of Wonders.

01:32With this Expansion Pass

01:33we're looking to explore new lands

01:35and new places.

01:36Things that the series

01:37has never seen before.

01:39With so much new content coming

01:40in Expansion Pass 3,

01:41I bet you're wondering

01:42what you can sink your teeth into first.

01:44Well, it's funny you should ask.

01:46What inspired the team to do a vampire themed DLC?

01:59Well, we've always been really interested

02:00in what the community wants.

02:01A lot of people really wanted to see vampires

02:03and that idea really resonated with us.

02:05Our elder vampires are a very cool blend

02:07between classic tropes and more modern visuals.

02:10Very easy and fun to make unique

02:12personalized versions of a vampire.

02:14Vampires are great characters to tell stories with.

02:17They often represent the worst in humanity

02:20in the greatest ways.

02:21Is this the first time we've seen vampires

02:23in Age of Wonders?

02:24There have been vampires

02:25but they played a lesser role.

02:27Now they really step into the spotlight

02:29as far as their skin can handle it.

02:32Can you make glittery vampires?

02:33Yes, of course.

02:36You'll start off in your special spooky castle

02:39with your cape and your fangs.

02:41The sun is removed from the land.

02:43The clouds darkening everything.

02:46Bats flying across the sky.

02:48And you just go and eat people.
