00:00Sony has been working on a fourth film since 2015.
00:03The basic idea was for this universe to merge with that of 21 Jump Street.
00:06in order to create a crossover between the two licenses.
00:09The project was quickly cancelled, probably to avoid the box,
00:12we mix the universes to make a shitty movie,
00:13like those who tried it long before.
00:15But the project of a fourth film remains current,
00:18with the idea of starting from scratch.
00:19Because Will Smith no longer wanted to be involved in this saga
00:21and that Tommy Lee Jones had already mentally left him during the third opus.
00:25In 2019, movie stars are mostly coming out of Marvel Studios.
00:28They are the ones who sell, and so it is naturally in this pot of money
00:32that Sony will be looking for Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson,
00:35formerly Thor and Valkyrie,
00:36to form the new shock duo of the extraterrestrial agency.
00:39The film will focus on Molly,
00:41who devotes his life to the search for the MIB agency,
00:44after witnessing their intervention during his childhood,
00:47and saving a cute little alien,
00:49and we'll come back to the cute little aliens.
00:52She ends up finding the agency, joining it,
00:54and tries to save the world through different countries with his teammate, Agent H.
00:58Okay, before we get into the nitty-gritty,
01:10and shoot the ambulance with a bazooka,
01:12I will still list the few positive points of the film.
01:14Already, the fact of relocating the action all over the world is pretty cool.
01:18This opens up new horizons regarding aliens through different cultures.
01:21Like, for example, the alien beard is probably the coolest thing in the movie.
01:25Then there are lots of nice little finds.
01:27Agent H's gun car, where all the guns are cleverly hidden.
01:30The action scenes are not unpleasant.
01:32The scene with the motorbike in Morocco is rather nice.
01:35Then Danny Elfman's music is reused, and that makes a real difference.
01:38And in fact, Tessa Thompson carries the film very well.
01:40But this is also where the problems start to arise,
01:43since she is the only somewhat endearing character in the film,
01:46and this, to the detriment of agent H.
01:47Portrayed by Chris Hemsworth,
01:49who is described as the big idiot on duty,
01:51not able to connect two neurons,
01:53and so it's a bit hard to get attached to it.
01:55The scenario will completely throw him out.
01:57He is not brave, he has no instinct,
01:59we don't understand his motivations.
02:01And then this kind of scene too,
02:02which comes out on the popularity of another saga,
02:04and which completely breaks the dynamics of the film.
02:06Looks like luck has changed.
02:07We're going to have plenty of moments like this.
02:12Go let me find some wood in the desert to make a fire,
02:14that I install a setup without providing payoff,
02:17which weighs down the already too long film,
02:19that I use a neurolaser on civilians who haven't seen anything yet.
02:23Everything will become clear if you look at this carefully.
02:28Because suddenly, yes, the film positions itself as a sequel to the 3,
02:31featuring Agent O,
02:32showing that agents J and K did indeed exist,
02:35but at no time is the coherence of the universe respected.
02:37For example, here we are led to believe that the organization was created at the end of the 19th century,
02:41whereas it was logically created after the second war in the first film.
02:44The bestiary, however, has completely lost its splendor.
02:46No more slimy, terrifying handmade monstrosities.
02:49Make way for the cute little CGI creatures that will be used to sell stuffed animals.
02:53No more charismatic antagonists.
02:55Here, we don't even know who the antagonist is.
02:57The evil twins, the lady with the weird wig,
03:00the leader of the Men in Black, or something like that.
03:02The film has this incredible gift of offering a scenario as simplistic as it is incomprehensible,
03:06as predictable as it is uninteresting.
03:08Yes, Tessa Thompson gets the job done, but her motivations are crap.
03:11She spends her life trying to find a secret organization
03:14and achieves its ultimate goal after 15 minutes of film.
03:17After that, it's difficult to fully invest in the character.
03:20since it's just filler.
03:22Besides that, F. Gary Gray's direction offers nothing special.
03:25The film's art direction is bland, full of green screen.
03:29Well, go filming in Paris, for God's sake!
03:30What is this thing?
03:32This isn't Ratatouille, damn it!
03:33This is a bad blockbuster.
03:34as we have been eating for too many years now.
03:37Something ultra generic,
03:39the complete opposite of brilliantly wacky weirdness
03:41what the first movie was.
03:42But all this mediocrity is not due to chance.
03:44since you can well imagine that the production was completely disastrous.
03:48A first version of the script,
03:50more serious and more committed,
03:51with strong themes,
03:52which had attracted the two headliners,
03:54is thrown in the trash by the historical producer of the saga,
03:56who will rewrite all that with a trowel
03:58so much so that Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth
04:00hire their own dialogue writer to help them navigate.
04:03The director, himself, is completely eaten up by the producer,
04:05repeatedly threatening to leave the set
04:07before Sony catches up with him every time in extremis.
04:10So we have a film that has not been validated by its main leader,
04:13namely F. Gary Gray,
04:15and which, inevitably, is a failure at all levels.
04:17Whether critical or commercial,
04:18with an estimated worldwide gross of $250 million.
04:21On top of that, the communication is dishonest.
04:23and highlights iconic characters from the saga
04:26which we only see for a few seconds in the film.
04:28In short, nothing is going right.
04:29And once again, a promising universe is spoiled by the lure of profit.
04:32But above all, by the cruel lack of artistic vision
04:35which Hollywood has been suffering from for several years now.
04:37In any case, what is certain,
04:38It's unlikely we'll hear about the Men in Black again.
04:41And it must be said that it's not so bad.
04:43In any case, I invite you to comment and like this video,
04:46to subscribe, of course, if you haven't already.
04:48Thank you again for your loyalty,
04:49Thank you Acer,
04:50and I will meet you in the description if the monitor interests you.
04:53And as for me, all that remains is to say see you very soon
04:55on Reservoir Blog.
04:58So basically I had to reread it at the end
04:59By telling you, be careful, the fourth film never existed.
05:02But when I saw the face of the accessory I created,
05:04It looks more like a tendentious thing than a neurolaser.
05:10Anyway, I won't keep you going any longer.
05:20Be serious, you know?
05:21OK, OK, here we go.
05:23All right.
05:25Let's go.

Je suis d’accord, il faut pas se faire ce film, on a eu trois Men In Black ils sont plus ou moins bien stop. Stop recyclage.
