00:00All eyes were on Sebogier and Elven Air Force for Super Sunday at Rally Chile.
00:06Just six seconds separated the Toyota pair at the top of the leaderboard,
00:09both with a golden opportunity to capitalize on frustrating rallies for their title rivals,
00:15Kalarov and Perra, Oyt Tanek and Thierry Nürnberg.
00:18Tanek's retirement on day one took him out of contention for maximum points,
00:23but the Estonian was back for an all-out assault on Super Sunday,
00:27making his intentions clear from the very first corner of the day.
00:31He's running third on the road already, look at that, straight away Oyt Tanek showing his intent,
00:37carrying massive speed into the right-hander and the left-hander there.
00:41Hampered by road position but giving absolutely everything to salvage what he could,
00:46Tanek was quickest of the Hyundai drivers on stage 13,
00:49with Auger and Evans almost inseparable ahead of a recovering Robin Perra,
00:53who couldn't bridge the gap to his compatriot Sami Piyari after suffering a puncture on day one.
01:00The style at Finn had maintained an impressive advantage over Robin Perra
01:04and was steadily closing his deficit to Thierry Nürnberg in fourth place.
01:08Piyari needed to find less than nine seconds to match his best result of the season
01:12and had a fire in his belly to prove himself against the reigning world champion.
01:16Piyari's pace completed a top five lockout for Toyota on stage 14.
01:41And the pressure was piled on Nerville as his buffer was cut to three seconds on the penultimate test.
01:48The Belgian unable to find any more speed from his I-20 N.
01:52It's very frustrating but it's very frustrating for the whole team.
01:57And it keeps on going so it makes it even worse.
02:00But I'm happy with my driving and that's the only thing I can do at the moment.
02:06Despite setting 1-2-3 on stage 5, Hyundai's weekend had unraveled.
02:11The team struggled to find the setup needed to match Toyota's speed
02:14and title hopes were fading for both Nerville and Tamek.
02:18Aaron Formos sunned up the team's frustrations as he soldered on for a solid P3 result.
02:24You know the song, Gimme Gimme Gimme a Man after midnight?
02:29Yesterday I was singing Gimme Gimme Gimme traction after midnight.
02:34The Toyota crews were dominant.
02:37Spearheaded by a tit-for-tat battle between Evans and Augier
02:40trading stage wins throughout Sunday morning.
02:43Evans held the gap to Augier until stage 15
02:45as the Welshman's rubber began to give way
02:48and the eight-time world champion delivered another masterful performance in tyre management.
02:54Tamek's search for super Sunday points was splintered by an overheating engine
02:58and his championship hopes looked severely dented.
03:01But the Estonian still had the motivation
03:02to push right to the very limit on the Wolf power stage.
03:07Again, big moment.
03:09Big sideways moment for Tamek there.
03:11Piari took the battle for fourth right to the wire
03:14producing one of his best drives of the season
03:16to briefly secure bragging rights.
03:19But Nerville responded, holding the fastest time
03:22until Augier delivered an absolute masterclass on the Wolf power stage.
03:28Here we go then, the last couple of corners.
03:30What a crucial nine kilometres this has been
03:32and what an incredible run and I tell you what,
03:34that is incredible!
03:36This is why he's an eight-time champion!
03:38More difficult weekend in Paraguay.
03:40We had to fight a bit more.
03:41Some little issues sometimes in the morning, I was not really well awake.
03:45But we can be pleased the way we end up.
03:47Seb Augier wins Rally Chile,
03:49securing maximum super Sunday points in the process.
03:52Elvin Evans finishes second
03:53and Adrian Formo completes the podium.
03:57Nerville is best of the rest in fourth place
03:59ahead of Piari,
04:00followed by Robin Perra,
04:02Takamoto Katsuta and Gregoire Munster.
04:04In the Drivers' Championship,
04:06Augier dethrones Evans at the top of the leaderboard
04:09and heads to the next round with a two-point advantage.
04:12Robin Perra loses ground to his teammates
04:14while Tanakh and Nerville take a hit
04:17in their search for another WRC title.
04:21I hope you enjoyed it.
