Learn how to create horizontal bar chart in Excel. I will also define what a horizontal bar chart is, and when should you use a horizontal bar chart? After this tutorial, you should be able to tell what is the difference between vertical and horizontal bar chart and can. And being confidently able to answer if a bar chart can be vertical or horizontal.

We had the steps outline on the video.

Horizontal Bar Chart
1) Select D2
2) =REPT("|",B2)
3) Right align
4) Select E2
5) =REPT("|",C2)
6) Left align
7) Select cell D2 and E2
8) Change font to Playbill
9) Change cell D2 font colour to red
10) Change cell E2 font colour to blue
11) Apply to all the rows.

00:00If you want to create a horizontal ratio bar looking like this, this is how you do it.
00:04Select cell D2 here, equal REPT, first argument will be double quote, pipe double quote, like this.
00:11And the second argument in there will be the number of female, and close parenthesis.
00:15You're going to control C, copy the same formula in D2, and paste it on cell E2 like this.
00:21Select D2 again one more time, and basically change the alignment to be right, like this.
00:25Once that's done, select cell both D2 and E2, and go font, and change the font type to playbill.
00:32If you need the font playbill, leave a comment in the description, and I'll send it to you where you can download it.
00:37Alternatively, you can get the link from the description of this video.
00:41Once that's done, select cell D2 here, go font, and basically change the font color in that to red,
00:46and then on the E2 here, change that to be blue like this.
00:51Once that's done, select cell D2 and E2, and double click on this handle.
