Learn how to consolidate data in a table.

To consolidate data in a table, you can follow these steps. First, select cell B3. Then go to the Data tab, choose Data Tools, and click on Consolidation. Set the Reference to $B$18:$C$28 and click Add. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for all the months you need to consolidate. Check the boxes for "Top row" and "Left column" to ensure proper alignment and summarization of your data. Finally, click OK. This method not only shows how to consolidate data in a table but also demonstrates how to combine data from multiple tables into one. An example of data consolidation might be aggregating monthly sales data into a yearly summary. Two ways to consolidate data include using the Consolidation tool or using formulas like SUMIFS. To consolidate two tables in Excel, use the Consolidation tool with the steps mentioned. To automatically consolidate data in Excel, you can set up a dynamic range and use the Consolidation tool to update as new data is added.
