00:00you mentioned dk there and it's a point that you know i've been thinking about this week you know

00:04he's not quite back in full training and you know when are we going to see him you know he's coming

00:10now into the well he's in the last year of his contract his four and a half year deal that he

00:14signed when he arrived back out i've been in it was january 22. um well january 21 i kind of yeah

00:25you know he's in last chance saloon territory isn't he and we saw that real

00:30kind of emotional video he played a couple of months ago saying you know he's kind of found

00:35this latest setback the hardest that he's had during his time at alvin for me i think he probably knows

00:42that he's not going to get a new contract at the end of the season um even when he gets fit you know

00:49he's probably gonna have to do something exceptional but it's just a little bit of a trade of thought

00:53where i was thinking you know every time he's returned from an injury he's felt a

01:00big massive pressure on his shoulders you know with this one it might benefit in the

01:06the majority of alvin's fan base have probably written him off now not in a that's not in a nasty

01:12kind of way in a kind of in having a long-term future way he's got just over six months or whatever

01:18six eight months left of his contract and that might just galvanize and we might get to see a maybe a

01:26bit of a glimpse of the dk that we saw post qatar world cup break where he was on fire and we might

01:33see the best of dk at the end and it probably even if we do it it probably will be the last we'll see

01:38of dk in an alvin shirt but you may just see the a bit of the best of him with a bit of bit of pressure

01:44off when we see it though is you know remains to be seen doesn't it yeah no i get it it's a good it's a good

01:49sort of um hypothesis really i i do kind of agree i think whenever he's come back and and and have

01:58been sort of mixed you know this this is not throughout but on the odd occasion he's come

02:04back from a knock a long-term one and done okay hasn't he and scored a goal and showed almost what

02:11alvin have been missing the last time it was the end of the season and like you said the qatar one's a

02:15good example after an injury so there have been occasions when he's had a long sideline he's come

02:19back and it looked okay found a goal um yes there's been the other side of it where look a month or two

02:26later he's had another you know the second achilles for example but yeah you're right in terms of look

02:33it would take something spectacular spectacular wouldn't it it would take dk being available for

02:39from october from november and getting into double figures i think and playing regularly now

02:45none of us are saying that's impossible but i think we're all saying it's highly unlikely really from

02:48from what we can go by in three and a half years of of example so yeah hopefully you make a good

02:56point there and it's right and it sort of unlocks something maybe in him mentally and in the support

03:01of us with him mentally i think that there will still be so much goodwill for him of course there will

03:06there will and if he comes on and scores or comes back and scores then there'll be that hope with

03:10him as as ever and but i think the last injury or two certainly this one at the end of the summer

03:16johnny you know this was his first summer wasn't it his first pre-season where he'd stayed fit

03:21he was leading the line in the friendlies ready for the season and then this you know out of nowhere on

03:26the eve of the season it just made most just think this at the start of his final season that that's

03:34that's it really sadly um look we hope to be wrong and he can do that and get into double figures for

03:40goals that he is i i think this might be an outlandish thing to say some might agree but i think

03:48what we have seen of him is a natural goal scorer i think he proved that in in the states where it's

03:54a lesser level you proved it at barnsley and i think when he's been on the pitch at albany he's

03:58proved it he's a natural goal scorer in terms of a striker that's that's what you know he's a different

04:03type of in a way that madger isn't he's games about more i know madger scored last season but he's games

04:07about other thing other things really from what we've seen of hegeber he scored in the goals in

04:13norway yes but he's games about that fight and effort isn't it mostly i think what we've seen so

04:17far the dk's game is about being in the penalty box and heading it in or you know lashing it in i

04:24think you know he knows where the goal is and that just makes it the more frustrating doesn't it you

04:28know imagine if he'd have been fit these years what he could have done um but it feels like it'll be

04:34a tale of what if and um and yes so be it i think anything that he can help with this season

04:40goals wise performance wise assist wise is a bonus isn't it now
