Spain: Active forest fire captured along the road to Ponferrada

This summer has been far from perfect for Spaniards, and this video captures one of the hottest reasons why.

"This is what we saw on the road to Ponferrada," the filmer, Alejandro, told WooGlobe.

What was meant to be a serene drive quickly turned into a stark reminder of the grim situation across the country, as Alejandro passed by an active forest fire.

He made sure to record the scene of multiple trees burning while thick black smoke rose into the sky.
