Wildfires have a way of turning familiar landscapes into something unrecognizable.
The clip shows a wide view of a hillside as dense smoke rises and drifts across the valley. Bright flames line sections of the slope and appear in pockets among the trees, with the fire front stretching across the terrain.
"I recorded this video during a large wildfire in Krokskogen Valley, Norway, on 17 July 2026. Thick smoke and flames spread rapidly across the mountainside while emergency services responded to the fire," the filmer, Egle, told WooGlobe.
