TYREEK HILL has suffered a gruesome leg injury, a major blow to the Miami Dolphins.
The superstar wide receiver was carted off the field after the shocking incident on Monday Night Football.
ESPN abruptly cut to a commercial break from the live TV coverage, as the severity of the injury was such.
It happened just 1 minute and 37 seconds into the second half of the MNF clash against the New York Jets.
Hill was tackled near the sidelines after catching a pass from Tua Tagovailoa.
He instantly looked in pain and stayed on the ground near the Jets' side of the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami.
Dolphins medics and head coach Mike McDaniel ran over the field to his aid.
The 31-year-old stayed on the ground for several minutes before being taken off.
He was carted from the field and taken to the back for further tests.
It is feared he has suffered a season-ending knee injury, a huge blow to the Dolphins' season.
Hill was seen smiling on the cart and waved to the crowd despite the problem.
He was then seen in the back in a wheelchair towards the end of the game.
The wide receiver was taken to a nearby hospital and is understood to have suffered a dislocated knee.
"Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill, who was taken to a local hospital because of a knee injury, is believed to have suffered a dislocated knee, source says," said NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
"This injury, far worse than a dislocated kneecap, often comes with multiple ligament tears."
ESPN viewers were left in shock by the horrifying scene.
"That is awful for Tyreek," one said on X.
Another added: "That looks like a season-ending injury for Tyreek."
A third said, "His knee is not meant to be that way."
One commented, "Oh no, that's so bad for Hill."
And one said finally: "That is horrific!"
The Dolphins have had an awful start to the 2025 season, going 0-3.
The dismal Jets have the same record under new coach Aaron Glenn.
He has had a tough campaign so far, as his team is ailing.
The now veteran joined the Florida-based side from the Kansas City Chiefs.
