Authors of The Resistance is amplifying the call for justice following the mass shooting at American Fish Company in Southport, North Carolina, on the night of September 27. A lone gunman—identified as 40-year-old Nigel Max Edge—opened fire from a boat docked near the waterfront bar, killing three people and injuring at least five others.
This was not random violence: it was a premeditated act targeting a public gathering space during live music, where patrons—many of them vacationers—were enjoying a peaceful evening. Edge, a self-described combat veteran with a history of conspiracy-laced legal filings, used a short-barrel AR-style rifle equipped with a suppressor, folding stock, and scope. His bullets tore through the crowd, leaving behind carnage, grief, and unanswered questions.
We demand full accountability, clarity, and protection for all communities targeted by violence. Waterfront joy should not be met with gunfire. Vacationers should not become statistics. Southport’s grief must not be sanitized or forgotten.
Their lives are not disposable. Their stories will not be diluted by bureaucratic framing.
