00:00Hi guys and welcome to Drive Spark, I am Promeet and what we are driving today is the Kia Ciroz.
00:13This one is the HTX Plus optional turbo petrol variant.
00:20So I will be telling you what all do you get with this variant of the Ciroz.
00:24So let's quickly start this video and I will tell you everything you need to know about this car.
00:31So let's start talking about the front end of the vehicle and if you see the overall design of the car remains the same but in this variant I will be telling you what all do you get.
00:38So first of all you can see there is a camera over here.
00:40Now this is a part of the 360 degree camera so you get camera at the front side and at the back and if you see over here you get a radar as well.
00:47Now this is for your level 2 ADAS, it works in sync with the camera which is over here.
00:53So this camera works in sync with the ADAS unit and it gives you the level 2 ADAS features.
00:58Well if we talk about the headlight unit over here you can see you get a full LED cluster with high beam, low beam, everything in LED.
01:04Plus this is your DRL which obviously converts into the dynamic indicators which are actually very very bright.
01:10Now if you move to the side of the car you will notice that the headlight is still here.
01:15It's a wrapped around unit.
01:16You get body cladding all over and if you look over here you get these 17 inch dual turn alloy wheels which actually look nice.
01:22They are JK tires and the tire is decent grip is decent and the overall ride also feels nice.
01:27One more thing let me tell you, you have a ground clearance of about 189 mm which is pretty decent for city and if you have some broken roads as well.
01:35You get flush door handles, well they don't pop out automatically.
01:38You have to press them from this side.
01:40Body colored over vm that fold unfolds and operates automatically you get your integrated indicator.
01:46You have roof rails over here a big panoramic sunroof and at the back you get a shark fin antenna.
01:52Now the rear part you can see over here.
01:55So there are two parts of the unit.
01:56So this is one part and that is your actual tail light.
01:59So when you hit the brakes that thing lights up.
02:01Well your indicator, reverse light, everything.
02:03So this is technically when you switch on your parking lights that thing goes on and you also get a wiper with a washer.
02:10You get a spoiler kind of finish a high stop mount light.
02:13Your Kia logo right over here, your Sirius logo.
02:16And since this is a 7 speed DCT, so you have the 7 DCT badging over here.
02:21Now the lower part, you can see you get the skid plate in silver finishing and you have these sensors as well.
02:26If you talk about the boot, well this is the camera or the reverse parking camera which is attached to the boot lid.
02:33This is your parcel tray which is a very narrow parcel tray and I'll explain why is it very narrow.
02:37Because you see over here these seats can be reclined all the way to the back right over here.
02:42And it can be moved further and backwards as well.
02:46So you have a total of 495 liters of boot space which is actually very nice and very decent amount of boot space for a vehicle.
02:53For at least 5 people you can carry enough luggage and if you want to fold either size,
02:57these seats can be configured in many ways to adjust and accommodate luggage.
03:02And you can see over here you have this subwoofer that is right over here.
03:08And overall it's a good boot space.
03:09Well boot lid is also light not that heavy thanks to the hydraulic struts.
03:13Now let's go on the inside and let's go check out the second row of the car.
03:18So now we are checking out the second row.
03:22Now first of all let me sit inside, close the door.
03:26And since it's very sunny outside well these shades will definitely help you.
03:30So you have manual shades over here.
03:32You have seat ventilation, three options.
03:34But at the rear section you have only ventilation for the back side and no ventilation for this side.
03:40But that's relatively fine because you have AC vents that are right over here.
03:44So this will keep you cool.
03:45You have two type C charging sockets.
03:47You have an air purifier inbuilt.
03:49You have place to keep your phone, some magazine holders right over here.
03:54And you can see you get two adjustable headrests as well.
03:57The third address is not there.
03:59But you can move these seats forward and back.
04:02You can recline them from here.
04:04I mean if you want to go in a relaxed position with the sun shades up or down,
04:09you can do that.
04:10These seats can actually be configured in a lot of ways.

04:19And there's a big panoramic sunroof.

04:33Plus if I just shut this thing down,
04:36you'll be able to see that there is enough light in the cabin.
04:41And I mean it actually looks very wide the cabin.
04:44So the shade opens still here.
04:46And since it's very sunny, we'll just go ahead and close this.
04:50You have these lights over here that are LED.
04:53And that's again a nice thing.
04:55So that's for the rear cabin.
04:56Now let's go and sit in the front.

05:00Now first things first, let me talk about the screen.
05:02You have three screens over here.
05:03Your infotainment screen, your climate screen and your regular touch screen over here.

05:18And you can do a lot of things.

05:21That's again your cluster gives you a lot of information about the car.

05:27Your volume rocker is right over here.
05:29That is actually nice.
05:30The placement is nice.
05:32Your AC controls are over here and as well as over here.
05:35So for convenient, two type C charging sockets, which you can convert to either.
05:40You can see.
05:42You can use this as a USB and a charger.
05:45And right now, right now you can use this as a USB and a charger.
05:48And right now you can just charge your phone.
05:50And you also have a 12 volt charging socket right over here.

05:55You have a wireless charger.

08:48Now the seats are very comfortable.
08:50The driver's side is electronically adjustable.
08:52Passenger's side is manually adjustable.
08:54So let's quickly go ahead and drive this.
08:58So if we talk about the engine options on the Ciroz.
09:01The one we are driving.
09:02This is the one liter tower petrol engine.
09:05And this thing produces 118 bhp of power and 172 nm of peak torque.
09:11Well you can get it in a manual version also.
09:13Plus this one that we are driving is the 7 DCT.
09:16That is a 7 speed DCT.
09:18Essentially it's a dual clutch gearbox.
09:20So we'll be doing a quick pull over here.
09:23Since it has 118 bhp.
09:25It's a pretty decent amount of power that this car gets.
09:28So we're going to put sport mode.
09:30And we're going to give full throttle.
09:33And then release the brake.
09:35And a very slow start.
09:37But it picks up as the boost builds.
09:42Here the gears shift.
09:49Release 100.
09:53And we've reached 120 as well.
09:56Well braking is also nice.
09:58It's got a good bite.
09:59And overall I mean it's a good vehicle.
10:02But one thing that I really don't like about this.
10:06Is that it's got a lot of vertical roll.
10:08The suspension is on the softer side.
10:10But overall it's got that vertical movement.
10:13Rather than the side to side movement.
10:15It is a tall body design.
10:17So obviously it will have some on the body roll.
10:20But the vertical movement is a little more than the side to side movement.
10:23Overall it's a good balance I would say.
10:26You will be comfortable inside this.
10:28So I mean it's a good thing that the car is big.
10:31You have a good view of everything that you're looking at.
10:34Big windscreen.
10:35Big side windows.
10:36Big panoramic roof.
10:37Big rear glass.
10:38Everything.
10:39You have a good visibility of what's going on around.
10:41Plus you sit a little high as well.
10:43Overall I would say that the gearbox is really nice.
10:46The 7D city.
10:47It shifts quickly.
10:49Up shifts and down shifts are really nice.
10:51You also get paddle shifters right over here.
10:53You can take manual control.
10:54But one thing that I really don't like about this.
10:56Is that the fuel economy.
10:57The fuel economy is not that great.
11:00Within city you will get somewhere between say 10 to 11.
11:03If you're going a little hard on the throttle.
11:05Maybe you will get a little less as well.
11:07But yeah.
11:08If you really want fuel efficiency.
11:10Then you have the diesel engine of the seros.
11:13Which is a very very fuel efficient car.
11:16So overall it's a good thing that they have all engine options.
11:19You have petrol.
11:20You have naturally aspirated.
11:21You have a diesel.
11:22You have automatic.
11:23And you have manual as well.
11:25So everything is there.
11:26But today what we are driving is the tower petrol variant.
11:29It's a good powerful car.
11:30If someone is not aiming for mileage and wants a good drivable.
11:33Good power.
11:34Immediate response.
11:35Like we are doing 40 right now.
11:36If I just.
11:37And we are at the fifth gear.
11:38If I just floor.
11:39It will just shift to second.
11:40And you have immediate pull.
11:42So that is what I'm talking about.
