00:44Let's go.
02:34Menuda mierda.
03:03¿Has oído cerca del río?
03:20Sí.
03:39Sí, jefe.
03:40Í ero.
03:44Son.
03:46Son.
03:50Son.
04:51Good morning.
04:53Good morning.
04:59It seemed you spoke out of turn last night, from what I could see.
05:03I didn't mean to upset anyone or put you in an awkward position.
05:09No.
05:11In fact, I liked it.
05:14Fede look disturbed.
05:15So did Guillermo.
05:17They're not used to someone with the courage to speak her mind.
05:20Well, I am a guest.
05:25I used to know when to keep my mouth shut.
05:30Maybe because you're a guest.
05:33You don't need to.
05:33We're still taking what we need from here and taking the road, right?
05:43I'm worried.
05:45Don't be.
05:47You know, I had to do that.
05:49No, I get it, but...
05:51What?
05:51Nothing.
05:53Come on.
05:53Eyes on the prize.
05:55Right?
06:00Darryl.
06:01Just remember.
06:02Hot dogs.
06:03Darryl.
06:04Well, that's what we're about now.
06:07Eating them fucking hot dogs.
06:09And beans.
06:12Look, we're going home.
06:14All right?
06:15Let's try and stay out of everybody's shed.
06:19Okay?
06:23I don't know.
06:24I got a bat for you.
06:26Those guys ain't coming back.
06:27I don't want to worry about it.
06:28What?
06:29That's not even what I'm talking about.
06:31I'm going to the boat.
06:32Your job is to get that off the wall.
06:36What?
06:37You need to steal their solar panel?
06:39Yeah.
06:39Anything else we need?
06:41Darryl.
06:42Darryl.
06:44Look, I got to thinking last night.
06:47I mean, it's great that Justina wasn't chosen.
06:51Well, what about Alba?
06:54Alba?
06:55Who the fuck's Alba?
06:58Hot dogs.
06:59Remember.
07:02How are we going to leave Alba?
07:04Justina, we can't do anything for her.
07:07But at least we have time.
07:10What are you thinking?
07:13Let me go.
07:14I'll take care of her.
07:17You're crazy.
07:18You know what you mean?
07:20Yes.
07:21For you.
07:23For me.
07:23For me.
07:23Para que siempre puedas encontrarme.
07:34Es una brújula.
07:39Gracias.
07:39Gracias.
07:39Where'd you go?
08:08For me.
08:12For me.
08:32Tenemos que registrar la vieja iglesia.
08:34Y todo lo que está al otro lado.
08:35What was that about?
08:43You and Katharman are missing.
08:45Missing all?
08:47They disappeared last night.
08:48Sometime during the feast.
08:50So now they try to find them.
08:52I probably got drunk.
08:53Wake up in an alley somewhere.
08:55Who cares anyway?
08:56I hate them all.
08:59So you think you can help me fix this boat?
09:01I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:07Cool.
09:07How far is it?
09:09Out on the coast.
09:10Not too far from the beach.
09:12Great.
09:13Sooner we'll fix this boat.
09:14Sooner we'll leave.
09:15I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:16I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:16I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:17I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:18I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:19I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:20I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:21I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:22I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:23I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:24I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:25I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:26I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:27I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:28I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:29I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:30I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:31I know somebody who I think can help you.
09:32This place is out in the middle of nowhere.
09:54Julo del Mundo.
09:56Does an old sailor live out there or something?
09:58Yes.
10:00My ship's captain.
10:02There's someone.
10:26Drago de aceitunas.
10:27Are you sure this guy is going to help us?
10:34Yeah, trust me.
10:35Hola.
10:42Roberto.
10:47¿Quién es conmigo?
10:52Son de las picantes.
10:54El Alcázar trajo pimentón de la vera.
10:56No hay.
10:57La hija de alguien.
11:01Por un poco de pimentón.
11:03Qué gran trazo.
11:05She also hated el captain.
11:08This lady's your boat, captain?
11:10This lady spent 30 years commanding cruise liners all over the world.
11:15You know who's always the rudest passengers?
11:20Americans.
11:22I did not know she spoke English.
11:24What do you want?
11:25Pretty spicy olives.
11:26Need help fixing a boat.
11:29I imagine so.
11:31You and your companion.
11:33Not a telescope.
11:35Most people don't sail their boat right on to the beach.
11:39We had a storm.
11:41That wasn't our plan.
11:42Really?
11:42What is the plan?
11:43What is the plan?
11:44To go home?
11:47To America.
11:52Is she going to help me or what?
11:57I'm a little low on gunpowder.
12:00How low?
12:00Five kilos.
12:02Who's going to?
12:04And me?
12:09I have it working again.
12:11Ah.
12:12At least for a moment.
12:15You're a prince.
12:17No, I'll do this.
12:21Gracias.
12:22Okay, track is fixed.
12:37Shall we take a look at that death trap of yours?
12:52Can I help you with something?
12:54Oh, uh, nope.
12:56I'm good.
12:57Just getting some air.
13:04Blood.
13:06Bandage needs changing.
13:08Come on.
13:22So, Fede and you.
13:32No love story there, huh?
13:37It's a very old...
13:40What's the word?
13:42Cuaro.
13:44From when we were young, before I went to Barcelona.
13:49Barcelona.
13:52I have a friend whose brother lived there, back and forth.
13:58It was a magical place.
14:02But after La Caída, I came home to Solaz.
14:08To raise my boy.
14:11Roberto's mother.
14:13We'd lost her by then, in an accident.
14:22Let me see this.
14:32Better.
14:39Dad, how you got hurt?
14:43How do you mean?
14:44The accident.
14:56You leave soon.
14:58I think we know each other well enough.
15:00Listen to me.
15:26You hit the rocks, you've got holes below the water line.
15:33I'll patch it up.
15:35No, you cannot just patch it up.
15:46The rudder is damaged.
15:49I'll fix it.
15:50No, you cannot just fix rudder.
15:52It's for me to die.
15:53There's got to be some place I can find another.
15:57I suppose it's possible, if you could even find a similar boat.
16:01Someone will look.
16:03It's nunca serín, de verdad.
16:07I think I know a place.
16:09You can take my truck.
16:11Wait, stop.
16:12No.
16:14I bring you to my house, help your friend and got you a captain.
16:18Before I do anything more, I want to make sure my demands are clear.
16:21Your demands? What demands?
16:23Cristina and me, we come on the boat with you.
16:27Or else you are on your own.
16:34Yes, I'm on my own now.
16:36You want my ethanol?
16:37You want my truck?
16:41Take them to America.
16:42Come on.
16:43Come on.
16:44Come on, sir.
18:38You can't even bring the sword.
18:47Please.
18:48What about Jersey? Have you been there? Inside United States?
19:02Yeah, I know Jersey.
19:05I've told Christina all about America.
19:07What do you know about it?
19:09Many things. From the boss. Bruce.
19:13Springsteen?
19:14Yeah, I heard of him.
19:16I know his songs.
19:18Well, I know America very well.
19:19Now I will see it.
19:21You gotta get that brother first.
19:23I'm not worried.
19:23They leave things for loved ones and write messages on the stones to honor and pray for them.
19:35Why here?
19:37This is the Camino de Santiago.
19:39The way of St. James.
19:40For hundreds of years, pilgrims will be struggling in search of something.
19:46Like what?
19:49Peace, I guess.
19:51Or hope.
19:51The bulgear is just around the next bend.
19:59The bulgear is just around the next bend.
19:59The bulgear is just around the next bend.
20:29I'm not listening.
20:36I'm going to be looking for you.
20:55What's up?
20:56What's up?
20:56What's up?
20:59Me ha caído un caballo.
21:17Ahora estás aquí.
21:21Quédate.
21:29Estás guapísima.
21:39Aún nos quedan unos días.
21:44Y volveré a verte.
21:59Aún nos quedan unos días.
22:29Llegó un montón de veces.
22:31¿Por qué?
22:33Por diferentes razones.
22:36¿Por qué?
22:38¡Para!
22:39¡Para!
22:40¡Para!
22:41¡Para!
22:43Es complicado.
22:45No es para mí.
22:47¡Para!
22:48¡Para!
22:50¡Para!
22:51¡Para!
22:52¡Para!
22:54¡Para!
22:55¡Para!
22:56¡Para!
22:57¡Para!
22:58¡Para!
22:59¡Para!
23:01¡Para!
23:02¡Para!
23:04¡Para!
23:05¡Para!
23:06¡Para!
23:07¡Para!
23:08¡Para!
23:10¡Para!
23:11¡Para!
23:12¡Para!
23:13¡Para!
23:14¡Para!
23:15¡Para!
23:16¡Para!
23:17¡Para!
23:18¡Para!
23:20¡Para!
23:21¡Para!
23:23Mike, I think I found something.
23:46Come here.
23:53This film is called The Exterminating Angels.
24:06It's about these people who got trapped in that house, and they don't know how to get out.
24:17And you built this place.
24:20Little by little.
24:23How did you get all these movies?
24:26When Roberto was young, we would go on little missions to art houses.
24:34Get old movies?
24:36Seems pretty dangerous.
24:38Would you not save Van Gogh?
24:43A Picasso?
24:44The Mona Lisa?
24:45Yeah.
24:49Cinema is the wrecker of humanity.
24:51When this hell ends, our children, their children, will need to know how we were.
25:03You sound like Jerry.
25:07There's another friend of mine back home.
25:08Let's watch before the sun goes down.
25:15The projector is hooked to a solar panel.
25:17Is it working?
25:37Yeah.
25:38Yeah.
25:38Yeah, almost.
26:06One more.
26:13We got it.
26:14Yeah.
26:15Woo-hoo.
26:17There's something in the water.
26:25Oh, a fish.
26:26Come on, let's go.
26:27No, no, no.
26:28We're trying to...
26:29more than fish.
26:39Get on the beach.
26:47It ain't safe.
26:48We should go back.
27:03We should go back.
27:18Leave it.
27:26I need it.
27:48Don't cry.
28:18Don't cry.
28:48Don't cry.
29:18Don't cry.
29:26Don't cry.
29:28Let me see.
29:30Let me see.
29:34The key is for a little bit.
29:35The key is in a little box of the Tito Fede.
29:39Who knows, maybe you'll find out with a little chocolate for a cazar.
29:42That's why you keep it all.
29:58The key is in a little box of the Tito Fede.
30:16The key is in a little box of the Tito Fede.
30:22What is the key is to get out of here?
30:28The key is for a little box of the Tito Fede.
30:33Don't even ask for the Tito Fede.
30:38The key is not to use for the Tito Fede.
30:40It's a little box of the Tito Fede.
30:45The key is in a little box of the Tito Fede.
31:51He needs somebody to talk to him.
31:53He needs somebody.
31:56Last I checked.
32:03Come here.
32:03Let's see you.
32:05Where are we stopping?
32:23There we are.
32:26There we are.
32:27There we are.
32:56What's that?
33:07Mr. Bondi will kill him.
33:11Maybe he's got a new one by now.
33:26It's my friend, Alba.
33:37The one that was chosen.
33:41You saw how close she is with her mom.
33:46Going away, they will never survive without each other.
33:53I'm so sorry.
33:56I have no parents.
34:01But I get to stay.
34:04How is it fair?
34:07It's not. None of this is fair.
34:12I have to do something.
34:16I can't just...
34:17Just let it happen. I can't.
34:22It's so frustrating, I know.
34:24Feeling so helpless and angry.
34:28So much so that you start to feel like it's your own fault.
34:31Like if you could do something different or if you could switch places, you could fix it.
34:36But sometimes you can't.
34:39Yeah.
34:45Yeah, right.
34:52Well, I must be in my room.
35:20Why?
35:23What?
35:23You're having company.
35:24I don't want to inform you.
35:25But you are the company.
35:31Have a seat, please.
35:36Is it good?
35:37If it's of use on your boat, I have an extra solar panel.
35:51It's a good idea.
35:55I never thought of that.
36:01Sure.
36:02And if you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask.
36:09Anything.
36:12Tools, candles, food from my storeroom.
36:16I'm sorry.
36:27You really have been so generous.
36:29And you saved my son's life.
36:34You've done well raising him.
36:37I'm not sure he would agree.
36:40No.
36:40He's young.
36:43In love.
36:43How do you compete with that?
36:45Si.
36:47Christina.
36:48Quite a young woman.
36:50All the time thinking of others.
36:52I was really sick.
36:58I don't know what would have happened if she hadn't talked Roberto into helping me.
37:05Surviving six ofrendas.
37:07Such luck.
37:09She feels guilty.
37:12As much as she loves Roberto, I worried she might feel responsible.
37:17That she...
37:18What's the work?
37:22That she might have owned here.
37:24You ever hear of Ohio?
37:51What is Ohio?
37:53That's what I'm trying to get to.
37:55It's a state.
37:57It's like Jersey.
37:58Yeah, like Jersey, but...
38:00But flat.
38:02Shit's on the corn.
38:16Don't you, Marga?
38:19Where's Lucina?
38:24You know, you're right.
38:30I think you two are going to like it in America.
38:31Where's Lucina?
38:50I'm going to go back to Alba.
39:19¿Ajustina?
39:20¿Ajustina?
39:26¡Ajustina!
39:33Que Dios la acompañe del viaje.
39:35Habíamos oído rumores sobre vosotros.
39:53¿Qué es lo que quieren?
39:54¡Ajustina!
39:55¡Ajustina!
39:55¡Ajustina!
39:56¿Qué es lo que es?
39:59¿Ajustina?
40:00Salah.
40:01¿Ajustina?
40:02¿Ajustina?
40:02¿Ajustina?
40:02¿Ajustina?
40:05¿Ajustina?
40:06¿Ajustina?
40:07We have to keep the village protected.
40:12¿Ajustina?
40:12¿Ajustina?
40:13¿Ajustina?
40:14¿Ajustina?
40:15¿Ajustina?
40:16¿Ajustina?
40:17¿Ajustina?
40:18¿Ajustina?
40:18¿Ajustina?
40:20¿Ajustina?
40:21¿Ajustina?
40:22¿Ajustina?
40:23¿Ajustina?
40:24¿Ajustina?
40:25¿Ajustina?
40:27I used to know it would keep my mouth shut.
40:29Maybe, because you're a guest.
40:32You don't need to.
40:37Antonio is a wonderful character.
40:39It's a challenge to perform a character so wounded and complex.
40:44Roto is fantastic actor.
40:46So giving and right there...
40:49Step by step he gets to know Carl.
40:53he starts to not only open to the world but open to be able to get in touch with someone
41:00and i think for carol coming out of the tunnel and having that experience with sophia and having
41:05that sense of it's okay to let go i think she's seeing the world in a different way because
41:09she doesn't have that block there anymore it's going to be interesting to explore
41:14i'm sorry i'm it's okay have a chair david had this idea of well what if a guy was just a cinema
41:25lover what would that mean in a world like this this is a really beautiful thing of this character
41:29because it's something really poetic keeping these old movies to show how was the world before the
41:37apocalypse some people might think it's in books some people might think it's an art some people
41:41might think it's in music he loved movies and so to him sometime maybe this thing will end and
41:48he'll have the record of humanity this will tell the human story that opens up a guy who filmed a lot
41:53of his life and maybe we get to see that life does an old sailor live out there or something yes
41:59with valetina we really wanted a very liberated woman we wanted a woman who was content as much
42:10as you can be in the apocalypse valentina ended up in this beautiful lighthouse where i live with my
42:16best friends and we have this very special life that's not necessarily accepted by everybody else
42:22but we love it we found this absolutely stunning lighthouse in this like beautiful location
42:27in galicia and that became the perfect place to have valentine and her associates be based out
42:33our heroes need to get a piece for our boat and they have to go scavenging for it the harbor
42:47scenes was tough days i mean when you mix cameras and water is not easy at all we really lean into
42:54the authenticity of what we're trying to do so you know you could try to do it in a tank you could try
42:59to cobble it all together with vfx usually we do that when safety is really a paramount issue for
43:04us but we try to be in the actual environment so we found in galicia an incredibly sheltered harbor
43:09and i just have to say for both norman and yugo incredibly brave they did all the scenes in the
43:15water they had some pretty difficult to deal with weather and they just went for it and of course our
43:19zombie stunt players are just like the mvps of like every season these people get lit on fire we push
43:25them off buildings we run them over with cars and in this case we had them emerge from the surf to
43:30engage with them well i have so much fun these kind of of scenes make you feel really proud when
43:37you come back home and you're going to sleep you're like i'm really proud of this day percibo
43:55is episode 3 that means the sacrifice in spanish and the sacrifice has a kind of double meaning but
44:02mostly it refers to the sacrifice that this town makes and surrendering one of their children
44:25and this is what daryl and carol observe they observe communities functioning but that has this terrible
44:32penalty clause to their safety it's my friend alba when i was chosen you saw how close she's with her
44:40mom they will never survive without each other i'm so sorry justina is deeply empathetic she has no
44:50parents and she really needs to help people carol observes these children they're accepting their fate
44:56but at the same time it's clear that this is a painful experience for the families
45:01for justina in this case that decision gets switched and who we thought it was going to be
45:08is not who it is alba it instead turns out to be justina and she seems to be making a sacrifice
45:14on behalf of what she thinks is right what she thinks is fair the greatest risk for justina is
45:20being unable to see the people she loves ever again as the story progresses even in subsequent episodes
45:26that the idea of what the sacrifice was and how the sacrifice was made changes and evolves
