00:28First of all, all thanks to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for his favour that he allowed us to be gathered at this blessed gathering of Mawlidun Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
00:51And for that, many congratulations to Hafiz Imti Al-Azali Sahib and his team for organizing this
00:59And my gratitude for inviting us to be a part of this blessed gathering
01:05Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
01:09Created Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
01:18Before anything else in this world
01:22Or in this universe
01:23And Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that I was a Nabi or a Prophet of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
01:31Messenger of Allah
01:32Even before Adam alayhi salam was created
01:36And yet when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent him into this world
01:42For 40 years
01:45Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
01:50Did not ask Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to reveal his Prophethood
01:57To proclaim oneness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
02:01For 40 years Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam lived in that society
02:07Among the Meccans
02:09Under their eyes
02:12Being watched day and night
02:15Grew up with them
02:16Dealt with them
02:17Talked with them
02:17Did business with them
02:19Had community relationships with them
02:22And at the age of 40 when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
02:27Commanded Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to reveal his Prophethood
02:32For the first three years
02:34It was done in secret
02:36After that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala asked him to proclaim his Prophethood in public
02:44He called the people of Mecca
02:47Among them
02:48The high ranking members of his society
02:52And he went on top of Mount Safa
02:57And he called them to the oneness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
03:00He asked them to give up the idols
03:03That they had created
03:05He asked them
03:07To give rights to the women
03:09Give rights to the poor
03:11To treat each other nicely and kindly
03:14Now when he was standing on that mountain
03:20They asked for proof
03:22Of a Lord that he was calling to
03:25Of a creator
03:27Whom they couldn't see
03:28Of a creator whom they couldn't hear
03:31A creator whom they couldn't
03:33Sense using any of their senses
03:36A creator beyond their comprehension
03:39Someone
03:42A creator
03:44That was Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
03:46That didn't fit the mold
03:49Of their intellect
03:50So they asked for proof
03:54What proof is there
03:56Of that Lord existing
03:57What proof is there
04:01Of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:02Being the one true Lord
04:03Now Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:08Power and might
04:09Is over everything in this universe
04:12In that moment
04:14When Rasulullah sallallahu wa ta'ala
04:16Was being challenged
04:17Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:19Could have commanded
04:20The very mountain
04:22That he was standing on
04:23To speak on the oneness
04:24Of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:25He could have commanded
04:28The trees to speak
04:29On the oneness of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:31He could have split the moon
04:33In that moment
04:34Yet Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:40Did not do any of those things
04:42Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:44Said the proof
04:47That I exist
04:48The proof of oneness
04:51Of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
04:53Is that among you
04:55Is this Rasul
04:56Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
04:57The ayah I've just recited
05:00Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
05:03Commands Rasulullah sallallahu wa ta'ala
05:07To tell them
05:08To tell the people of Makkah
05:09And say
05:10Indeed
05:10I have lived a lifetime
05:13Among you before it
05:15Do you not then understand
05:17Do you not contemplate on this
05:18Do you not think about this
05:20And reflect this
05:20Why is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
05:24Through the voice
05:25Of Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
05:27Elevating him to that status
05:30That the proof
05:31Of the existence
05:32Of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
05:33Is that this Prophet
05:34Lives among you
05:35Because for 43 years
05:39Until that moment
05:40The Makkahans watched
05:43The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
05:45They'd known him
05:47From when he was a baby
05:48To the grown man
05:49That was standing before them
05:50And they couldn't
05:52Doubt
05:53One moment
05:55Of his life
05:57They couldn't
05:59Raise a finger
06:01To one
06:01Tiny aspect
06:03Of his life
06:04Where he'd done
06:05Anything wrong
06:05His character
06:09Was beyond reproach
06:10He was the ultimate
06:16Authority
06:17He was the ultimate
06:19Example of trustworthiness
06:22And truthfulness
06:23So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
06:27The proof of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
06:30His existence
06:30Was that
06:32This Rasul
06:33Was born
06:34Into that community
06:35Was born
06:36Into that society
06:37Which had
06:38Every evil corruption
06:39Every moral corruption
06:41That you can think of
06:42And yet
06:43He was protected
06:44From that
06:44Yet
06:47They couldn't
06:48Raise a finger
06:49And say
06:49You Rasul
06:50Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
06:51In your 43 years
06:52Of living among us
06:53You've done this
06:54And this
06:54And this
06:54And that
06:55So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
06:57Created this ultimate
06:59Example for them
07:00And he said that
07:03And this is the argument
07:04That Prophet
07:05Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
07:06Raised
07:06And he said
07:07If I told you
07:07There's an army
07:08Of attackers
07:10Enemy
07:11Waiting to attack you
07:12Behind this mountain
07:13Would you believe me
07:14All of the Muckans
07:15Replied
07:16Yes
07:16Because you're truthful
07:17And trustworthy
07:17In your 43 years
07:19Here
07:20You've never heard
07:21You speak
07:21A single word of life
07:22So this is the argument
07:27That Rasulullah
07:27Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
07:28Is setting up
07:29And they said
07:31Yes of course
07:31We'll believe you
07:32So if they can believe him
07:35On that invisible army
07:37That it's not there
07:38Then they should be able
07:39To believe him
07:40When he says
07:41That there is a God
07:42There is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
07:43That exists
07:44And that we should worship him
07:45So for us
07:48The path to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
07:51Exists through Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
07:55This is the crux
07:58This is the point
07:59That I want to get across
08:00That the path to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
08:04Exists through Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
08:07In many places in the Quran
08:09If I go into too much detail
08:10It will be too much time
08:11But many places in the Quran
08:13The obedience of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
08:15Is equal to the obedience of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
08:18The love of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
08:20Is equal to the love of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
08:22The disobedience of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
08:26Is equal to
08:27The disobedience of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
08:29Pledge of allegiance to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
08:33Is if you have pledged allegiance to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
08:36All of these are verses from the Quran
08:38الله سبحانه وتعالى
08:42has equated every single
08:44right of his and Prophet
08:46صلى الله عليه وسلم and made them equal
08:48except worship
08:50the only difference that's
08:52there that remains is that
08:54he is the creator and Rasulullah
08:56صلى الله عليه وسلم is the creation
08:58so if we were to rank
09:00the belief that Allah سبحانه وتعالى
09:02has given us then the rank
09:04is that we believe in Allah سبحانه وتعالى
09:06first that's the order
09:08and then we believe in Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
09:10but the sequence
09:12of belief is different
09:14the ranking is Allah سبحانه وتعالى's belief
09:16comes first and Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
09:18second creator and creation
09:20but the sequence is that you
09:22believe in the risale and the
09:24messengership of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
09:26before you can believe in Allah سبحانه وتعالى
09:28that's the path he's created
09:30for us
09:31in another place in Surah Al-Hujarat
09:35now even the worship
09:36aspect
09:37Surah Al-Hujarat the first ayah
09:39Allah سبحانه وتعالى says
09:41that brother Yaqub recited today
09:43Allah سبحانه وتعالى says
09:45do not
09:46get a head start on Allah
09:49or his Rasul صلى الله عليه وسلم
09:51it's an act of worship
09:53so some of the sahaba
09:55they sacrificed their
09:57offerings before Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
10:00could
10:00and this ayah was revealed
10:02and their sacrifice
10:03was not accepted in the
10:05court of Allah سبحانه وتعالى
10:07even in the acts of worship
10:09if you do not honor and respect
10:11Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم
10:13if you do not connect with him
10:14if you do not obey him
10:16even your acts of worship
10:17are not accepted
10:18this is the Quran
10:20in another place
10:22Allah سبحانه وتعالى
10:23Surah Al-Nisa
10:24Allah سبحانه وتعالى says
10:25that if you've wronged yourself
10:27if you've committed a sin
10:28if you've transgressed
10:30against the boundaries
10:31of Allah سبحانه وتعالى
10:32go to Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم
10:34جاوك
10:35go to his door
10:37go to him
10:39and this verse
10:41doesn't just apply
10:42didn't just apply
10:43when it was the time of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
10:451400 years ago
10:47or 1500 years ago
10:48it applies now
10:49and it will apply on the day of judgment
10:51go to his door
10:53because the door of Allah سبحانه وتعالى
10:56and the door of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
10:57are not different
10:58don't let anybody confuse you on this matter
11:01there's many many other ayats
11:04that I can recite here
11:05where Allah سبحانه وتعالى
11:08the obedience of Allah سبحانه وتعالى
11:11the connection to Allah سبحانه وتعالى
11:13all of that is the same
11:15as the connection to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
11:17the obedience to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
11:18the love of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
11:21Even if you want to ask for forgiveness
11:24You need to go to Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam's door
11:26When you go there
11:28What do you do
11:29Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says
11:30Istighfar
11:31Do istighfar
11:31Ask Allah for forgiveness
11:33Is that done
11:34Are we forgiven
11:35No
11:35Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala then says
11:37From the voice of the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
11:40Says
11:40And then Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
11:43Will ask for your forgiveness
11:44So the wasilah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
11:48Is a must
11:49Once he asks Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for forgiveness
11:53Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala's forgiveness will come
11:55That's when you will find Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala most forgiving
11:59So there is that condition as well
12:00There's a very famous parable from Sayyidina Imam Malik
12:08Radhiallahu An
12:09The ruler of that time
12:12He was arguing with somebody in the masjid
12:14Masjid Al-Nabwi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
12:16Imam Malik approached him
12:18And the voices were raised
12:19And he said
12:20Do not raise your voices
12:21Surah Hujrat again
12:22Ayah 2
12:23When Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala commands believers to lower their voice
12:26And he said
12:27Do not raise your voice in the mosque
12:28You've transgressed against the boundaries of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
12:32So he lowered his voice
12:34And then he asked Imam Malik
12:35He said
12:35What do I do now?
12:37How do I ask for forgiveness?
12:39Do I turn towards Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
12:41Or do I turn to the opposite direction where the Qibla is?
12:45Remember the resting place of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
12:48If you face that
12:49Your back is towards the Qibla
12:51If you face the Qibla
12:51Your back is towards the resting place of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
12:54So he was facing Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
