00:00Hey guys, so I figured I'd give you guys a short video of my take on the DeWalt 20V Max
00:06impact driver and the drill.
00:08So I've had these for probably about a year.
00:10They've got a good amount of use.
00:12These aren't the brushless versions, so keep that in mind.
00:17The brushless versions are probably going to give you about, I think, 20% more battery
00:21life in terms of performance.
00:23So anyway, I figured I'd show you guys, this is a hardwood block here, so I figured I'd
00:29show you guys putting some long, I think they're like 4-inch screws into it, and this thing
00:33has no problem whatsoever.
00:36Whoops.
00:42I should have thought about that part.
00:59I mean, as you can see on the left-hand side here, we have our reverse, and on the right-hand
01:12side we have our forward.
01:13So it's really easy to, you know, maneuver, get this thing set right.
01:17It's got three LED lights all the way around.
01:19It's got a removable chuck.
01:21So let's say, I mean, most of the time I'm actually using this on cars, so I mean, I
01:24put this little size on, and it makes quick work of any mechanic kind of jobs, you know.
01:30So anyway, in my opinion, this is pretty darn good.
01:36I mean, it doesn't even have any issue giving the amount of, like, energy into the wood.
01:41So anyway, that's pretty much it for the, um, for the impact driver.
01:47It takes the standard batteries like this.
01:49They last, uh, I mean, it's really hard to tell.
01:51If I was doing this, you know, probably for about 40 minutes, this one would probably die.
01:57Uh, you might, if you have a big project to do, you might want to get the extended battery.
02:00So they sell, um, I think it's the 5 amps, 5 milliamp batteries, or 5 milliamp or 5 amps.
02:06Anyway, they have those ones, and that's maybe what you want if you have big projects.
02:10But if you have just regular projects, like most people, like me, I mean, these ones will
02:14be fine.
02:15Anyway, ha.
02:24So, I mean, this is hardwood, and, uh, yeah, I figured I'd give it the biggest bit that I
02:28have in my, in my box, and give it a little bit of work.
02:32Anyway, there's, this thing has no lack of energy, and it's probably one of the most,
02:36and it's one of the most popular ones out there for a good reason.
02:39I mean, it's the rock solid DeWalt, a trusted brand, and I mean, you really can't go wrong
02:44with DeWalt.
02:44They hold their value, and they, they work really, really well.
02:47Anyway, this is the charger that it comes with when you buy this kit, um, and it'll be blinking
02:52if it needs charging.
02:55Yeah, so as you see, it needs a little bit of charging.
02:58Once it's charged, it'll just say a solid, solid red, and that's good.
03:02Now, in the, in the winter, so in Canada here, sometimes it gets, like, minus 20, if I leave
03:07it in the garage, both of these lights will be on, so red and red, uh, which means it's
03:11just too cold for it to charge properly.
03:13So just bring them in the house.
03:14I recommend bringing your batteries in the house, um, and they'll last longer.
03:18Anyway, um, I definitely recommend the DeWalt's 20-volt maxes, uh, they're, they're awesome.
03:24So anyway, if you're looking at picking one up, there was one right here.
