Game Of Thrones Adventures never stop. SUBSCRIBE and join us as we post new stories from Westeros!

Game of Thrones is roughly based on the storylines of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R. R. Martin, set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the continent of Essos. The series follows several simultaneous plotlines. The first story arc follows a war of succession among competing claimants for control of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms, with other noble families fighting for independence from the throne. The second concerns the actions of the exiled scion to reclaim the throne; the third chronicles the threat of the impending winter, as well as the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.

00:00The Battle of King's Landing is one of the most epic scenes in Game of Thrones history.
00:06When Daenerys Targaryen arrived in Westeros, she was welcomed with open arms by the people
00:13of King S. Landing, who cheered her name and wanted their new queen to take the Iron Throne.
00:20However, when Cersei Lannister took the high ground and refused to bend the knee to Dany,
00:27things got very bloody very quickly.
00:30Dany unleashed her dragons on the city, and it seemed like she would be victorious.
00:36But Cersei had a few tricks up her sleeve that made this battle one of the most shocking in
00:42God history.
00:44As the battle raged on, Dany found herself taking heavy losses, and ultimately she had to watch
00:51as many of her supporters burned to death inside the Red Keep.
00:56With her army decimated, and no allies left, Dany was forced to flee King S. Landing, and
01:04she ended up making a surprise return to Essos, where she lived out the remainder of her life.
01:10But if Dany had actually won the battle, how would it have changed the course of Game of Thrones?
01:16Let's find out.
01:18Hello, and welcome to my channel.
01:21Today we are going to look at what would have happened if Dany had won the battle of King
01:27S. Landing.
01:29Cersei had no intention of submitting to Dany, even though she knew that the Mother of Dragons
01:36had three extremely powerful dragons at her disposal.
01:41Cersei was so confident that she set up a mass of scorpions on top of the Red Keep, which
01:48were able to shoot down arrows that were coated in wildfire.
01:52Wildfire is basically napalm, and these arrows were launched from such a high vantage point
01:59that they caused an insane amount of damage.
02:02Cersei also chose to fight back against Dany using the Iron Fleet, which proved to be a huge
02:09mistake, because the dragons easily roasted all of them alive and sent them flying into
02:15the Blackwater Rush.
02:17Below.
02:19But Cersei still managed to hold on, despite the odds being stacked against her.
02:24As the battle went on, Tyrion started to feel guilty about his sister being burned alive.
02:31So he snuck out of the Red Keep, and met up with Varys, so they could come up with a plan
02:37to end the conflict peacefully.
02:40Unfortunately for them, Cersei wasn't having any of it, and decided to launch one last desperate
02:46attempt to defeat Dany, once and for all.
02:51She rode a giant mountain of a boar named Bloodworm right into the heart of Dany's dragon,
02:57Dragan, and stabbed him multiple times with a spear until he eventually succumbed to his wounds
03:04and crashed T.
03:06Oh the ground!
03:08But if Dragan hadn't been killed, and instead helped Dany win the battle, things would have
03:14played out quite differently.
03:16The moment Dragan was injured, Dany instantly panicked and flew away on him to save her own
03:23life.
03:24Even though she didn't want to leave the people of King's Landing, she knew that she wasn't strong
03:30enough to face off against Cersei without Dragan by her side.
03:35So she made the difficult decision to retreat and lick her wounds.
03:40This is a big moment for Dany because it shows that she's willing to walk away from a battle
03:47that she can't win.
03:48This isn't something she would have done in season one or two, when she was much more reckless.
03:56But by this point in the story, she's grown a lot as a character and is now more level-headed
04:03and strategic.
04:05She realizes that there's no point in trying to force a victory if the odds are just too
04:10stacked against her.
04:11In this alternate timeline, Dragan S. Wound isn't fatal, and he is able to recover after
04:19Dany takes him back to one of the secret dragon lairs in the Red Mountains.
04:25It is here that Dany spends several months healing both herself and Dragan before coming up with
04:31a plan to finally defeat Cersei.
04:34During this time, Dany is tormented by nightmares about the destruction of King S. Landing and
04:42the death of Nisandei and Regal.
04:45But instead of feeling guilty over her past mistakes, she channels that energy into coming
04:50up with a foolproof plan to take down Cersei.
04:54She knows that if she wants to rule the Seven Kingdoms, she'll have to be ruthless and get
05:01rid of anyone who threatens her power.
05:04And Cersei is at the top of that list.
05:07Finally, the day comes when Dany feels that she and Dragan are healed enough to go back
05:13to King S. Landing and finish what she started.
05:17She rallies her remaining forces, which include the Dothraki, Unsullied, the Northmen, Tyrion,
05:26Sansa, Yon Royce, and a few other loyal lords and ladies.
05:31Together, they march on King's Landing and prepare for one last showdown with Cersei.
05:39Dany makes it clear that this time she won't be leaving without the Iron Throne.
05:45When Cersei hears that Dany's returning, she panics and tries to flee the city with her twin
05:52brother Jaime.
05:53But they race stopped in their tracks when Dragan appears in the sky above the Red Keep
06:00and gives.
06:02Them an ultimatum.
06:04Either Cersei gives up and submits to Dany, or Dragan will roast her alive.
06:10Cersei knows that she's trapped and has no other options, so she reluctantly agrees to surrender.
06:17Dany flies back down to the ground and confronts Cersei, demanding that she bend the knee.
06:24But Cersei refuses until Jaime steps in and tells her that it has over and that she needs
06:31to accept defeat.
06:33Cersei is torn, but ultimately decides to bend the knee and swear loyalty to Dany.
06:39After securing her victory, Dany rides through the streets of King S Landing on Dragan while
06:46the citizens cheer her name and beg for mercy.
06:50She knows that she could easily burn them all alive, but instead chooses to be merciful
06:55and spares the lives of everyone in the city.
07:00Tyrion watches in awe as his queen rides through the streets of King's Landing, knowing that
07:05she's exactly where she's supposed to be.
07:07In this alternate timeline, Dany is now the undisputed ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, and
07:14it seems like she'll be able to bring peace and prosperity to the realm.
07:20But we all know that that's not how Game of Thrones works.
07:25So stay tuned to find out what happens next.
07:28As Dany's soldiers took over King's Landing, the citizens were outraged that their beautiful
07:35city had been destroyed, and many of them blamed Dany for the devastation.
07:41They started throwing rocks and rotten food at the Dothraki and Unsullied, which only made
07:48those soldiers more angry.
07:51Things started to get out of hand quickly, and it looked like the people of King S Landing
07:56might start a riot.
07:57But then Tyrion stepped in and calmed everyone down.
08:02He told them that he understood their anger, but that now was not the time to be fighting.
08:09They needed to work together to rebuild King's Landing and make it even better than before.
08:16Tyrion's words were wise beyond his ears, and the people of King's Landing listened to him.
08:21They realized that they couldn't afford to lose any more lives, and agreed to put their
08:28anger aside for the time being.
08:31Together, they started the long process of cleaning up the mess that Cersei had left behind.
08:38They cleared the streets of debris, fixed the damaged buildings, and took care of the wounded.
08:45It was hard work, but the people of King's Landing were determined to make their city great
08:50again, but not everyone was happy with the way things were going.
08:55A group of Lannister loyalists was plotting to take down Dany and seize the Iron Throne for
09:01themselves.
09:03They knew that they were outnumbered and outmatched, but they were desperate to avenge Cersei and restore
09:10the Lannister name.
09:12Meanwhile, Dany was struggling to come to terms with the destruction she had caused.
09:18She knew that she had acted rashly, and that her actions had resulted in the loss of innocent
09:25lives.
09:26She was determined to make things right, and do everything she could to help the people
09:31of King's Landing heal.
09:33But as Dany worked to rebuild King's Landing, the Lannister loyalists were plotting to take
09:38down her and seize the Iron Throne.
09:41They knew that they were outnumbered and outmatched, but they were desperate to avenge Cersei and restore
09:49the Lannister name.
