Game of Thrones is roughly based on the storylines of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George R. R. Martin, set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the continent of Essos. 01:04Theon and Yara struggle to make their escape from Euran Greyjoy's fleet.
01:09They are able to get away after a fierce battle in which many ships are lost on both sides, but they must now regroup and prepare for another attack.
01:24Meanwhile, Sansa and Tyrion try to rally support for the upcoming battle against the army of the dead.
01:33They know that they need all the help they can get.
01:37Back at Winterfell, Davos is in charge of defending the castle, while Jon and his group are out fighting the Whites.
01:54He knows that it is only a matter of time before the Lannisters arrive and he must be prepared.
02:02He organizes the defence of the castle with the help of Jorah Mormont and Tormand Jonsbane.
02:10They set up barricades and gather supplies in preparation for the siege.

03:14Suddenly, a horn is sounded and the Lannister army arrives at Winterfell.
03:21They are led by Jaime Lannister, who has come to take Winterfell for Cersei.
03:27With him are the Golden Company, who have been hired by Cersei to help her conquer the Seven Kingdoms.
03:35They are a fearsome sight and the Northanners know that they are in for a tough battle.
03:42Jaime raises his sword and gives the order to attack.
