The thoughts of Newquay boss Shaun Middleton on their 4-0 victory at St Blazey.
Transcript
00:00Hi, Sean. Victor here at St Blaise. How are you feeling?
00:03Yeah, happy, really happy with that. Another really good performance.
00:06Probably my favourite one of the season so far, to be honest.
00:09Who I fought against a really good team.
00:13Lots of energy and you could see they got lots of quality.
00:16So, I think getting that second goal was so, so important.
00:19And just from there, the man sending off and stuff.
00:22It was just, yeah, we just completely controlled the game, I think.
00:25You know, they had little periods in the first half
00:27where they had a little bit of pressure on us and stuff.
00:29But, you know, if we went in at 2-0 or 3-0 at half-time,
00:31there wouldn't have been any complaints from anybody watching this game,
00:34to be fair. So, just really happy with how we managed the game.
00:37Clean sheet. So, good for the back four and the goalkeeper.
00:40So, yeah, couldn't be any happier, really.
00:43And three victories on the bounce. How important is this to the team?
00:46I think it's important. Like I said to you the other day,
00:49it's about confidence, this game. It's, you know, it is a game of confidence
00:53and quality and stuff. So, three wins on the bounce.
00:57It's like I said previously, again, we haven't been far off it.
01:02You know, if you take away some tight games and put a couple of wins on that,
01:06it's not a false scoreline. So, yeah, the confidence is high in the group now
01:12and, you know, we've got a strong squad and everyone's fit.
01:14So, yeah, we're really, really happy where we are at the minute.
