00:00Now, looking back, what was your first impression of Mel?

00:04His eyes. I thought it was very handsome.

00:07And there was something in his eyes that twinkled.

00:09Very genuine. I thought it was very genuine.

00:12Were you more or less attracted to him once you stepped out of that limo?

00:15I was a little, yes. I would say absolutely.

00:18And can I share how I stepped out the limo?

00:21I'm a registered nurse, so I had on my nurse's cap and my stethoscope.

00:26And I walked out, and he was very welcoming.

00:29And he put his hands out to me.

00:31And I, you know, said my name and where I was from and how many years I was in nursing, 34 years.

00:37And I said, Mel, I can care for all your needs.

00:40What was his reaction?

00:41He was like, wow.

00:43He was tall. He was built. He looks very athletic, which is a big deal for me and my family.

00:49Right.

00:50So, yeah, he was just very handsome. He was very handsome.

00:54And so it was nice. He made me feel really comfortable.

00:58And we just kind of introduced ourselves.

01:00I threw a baseball to him.

01:01I love that.

01:03I wanted to make sure he still had, you know, good hands.

01:06Does he understand where you come from, your family and everything?

01:08I don't know. I didn't tell him yet.

01:10I want to kind of leave it out there a little bit.

01:12Yeah.

01:12So I threw a baseball and I said, think fast.

01:14And guess what? He did.

01:16I was like, that was impressive.

01:17Wow.

01:18Oh, yeah.

01:18That was an amazing first impression, actually.

01:21It wasn't quite what I had expected, really.

01:23It was an initial super, I felt very attracted to him initially.

01:28Really?

01:28Which, you know, surprised me a little bit.

01:30But I was like, oh, my gosh.

01:31And he is absolutely the best hugger ever.

01:35Wow.

01:36What else attracts you to Mel?

01:38Oh, my gosh.

01:39Well, he's got a very calming spirit.

01:42He's very kind.

01:43He's kind of a little, a gentle giant.

01:45And he's super understanding and sweet.

01:49And he just makes you feel comfortable.

01:51I like athletic looking men, you know, which is what he is.

01:55Just the way he carries himself with confidence.

01:58And, yeah, I love that.

01:59I mean, he looks so dapper.

02:01I mean, you got this limo and this, you know, 6'2 guy.

02:04Yeah.

02:04Just, you know, just amazing.

02:06He was so kind.

02:07And, of course, he said how great we looked.

02:08And we're like, oh, how great you look.

02:09It was just like it was a combination of, you know, compliments.

02:12And he's just, he's very warm.

02:14And, you know, takes your hands, looks in your eyes.

02:15He's a very nice man.

02:17Once we're past, you know, getting to know him, we just want to get to know him more.

02:19And that's the whole point.

02:20And I would say also, we have to feel an attraction.

02:22Like, he has to be attracted to me.

02:23And he has to be attracted to him.

02:24So it's a combination.

02:25But he holds all the cards now, or all the roses.

02:27Now, I hear you got the first impression, Rose.

02:30What was your reaction to receiving that?

02:33I was absolutely shocked.

02:35I had no idea.

02:37I had no idea.

02:39And I was just, I was just so thankful.

02:41But I just could not even imagine.

02:44And it was a connection that was very daring to me.

02:47Because we talked about my late husband and how I raised my children.

02:51And Mel said that it touched his heart.
