00:00Dramatic body cam footage now from the scene of a horrific car accident that Dylan Walsh, the Nip Tuck star, had earlier last summer, or this summer.
00:10And we had known that he was driving this car, this SUV, when he slammed into two utility poles.
00:17You see it there where it finally came to a stop.
00:20But now we have the body cam footage.
00:22And what you're about to see, you're going to see Dylan's wife, who was injured in this, getting treatment.
00:27He is talking to the police, and the officer is walking around trying to make sure everybody is safe because they were concerned that the power lines were about to fall down on them.
00:37And pay close attention to what Dylan says about what happened before this accident.
00:43What's your name? Can you hear me?
00:44Was there anybody else in the car besides that young lady?
00:47Is there anybody else in that car?
00:50Three, me, and her.
00:52Oh, you were in the car?
00:53I was in the car driving.
00:54You were driving?
00:55Yeah.
00:55All right, guys, this is what we want to do.
00:58Are you able to walk?
01:00Okay, we're all going to walk over there because if that touches down here, we're not here anymore.
01:03So let's get over here.
01:04Are she still conscious?
01:07Leslie, Leslie, Leslie, look at me.
01:09Leslie, Leslie, you were driving the car, sir?
01:12What exactly happened?
01:13I don't know.
01:14I don't know.
01:15You were coming?
01:15I was coming from the beach.
01:17And you were coming this way?
01:18A lot of us in the car.
01:19Okay.
01:19I'm going to look down.
01:21Okay.
01:22I don't, I can't explain it.
01:23Did you lose consciousness or anything driving?
01:25Did you fall asleep?
01:26Did you earn any medication or anything?
01:28Or you just...
01:30I'm really tired.
01:31I was driving and it happened.
01:33I don't, I don't know how that happened.
01:35And you just, maybe too much sun or something?
01:37Did you drink today anything?
01:38Did you have any alcohol?
01:39We did.
01:39We came from the mule.
01:40We were in the sun all day.
01:42One of his reps said after the fact that, um, that he had suffered a stroke while driving.
01:48Right.
01:49Now, what he told police is like, I just don't remember.
01:51Well, he also said I was at the bar.
01:53He said he was at the bar.
01:54He said he was very tired.
01:55They also cited him on six vehicle violations, one of which was an open container in the car.
01:59Obviously, no proof that he was one consuming it.
02:02But if you add things up, right, he's in the bar, there's an open container.
02:04He said he was tired.
02:05Did they do a blood alcohol at some point?
02:07Yes.
02:07And in fact, there's part of this body camp bridge where he's in an ambulance and the officer explains,
02:12we're going to get a blood test to find out what your alcohol level is.
02:16And he said you can fight that, and then we'll have to get a search warrant, or you can just agree to it.
02:21Well, also, by the way, because in California, you automatically lose your license for a year if you do that.
02:27This was in Jersey, but he was booked for, he was, I think, charged with DUI.
02:32Exactly.
02:33He was charged with DUI.
02:34So you've got to believe, the assumption would be that it could have been.
02:37There was some alcohol.
02:37The fact that there was an open container in the car, right, Harvey, that typically gives rise to—
02:41Not only an open container, but then he says, I was at a bar.
02:43I was at a bar, too.
02:44I mean, you can see they found champagne and white claws that were open.
02:48And so to charge him with DUI, you don't need to prove at that point that he's got—
02:53That's right.
02:53—what it's blood alcohol.
02:54That can come later.
02:55Hi, Mary Berry here from East Texas.
02:59I'm not sure if it was stroke, sunstroke, or what it was, but alcohol and the beach, there's no mix for that.
03:08And then driving, there's all kinds of rideshare out there, so I don't think there's any excuse for it.
