00:00The very first Bible used by Christians says Jesus arrived on earth the same way he left it,

00:04by ascending and descending from heaven in fully human form.

00:08No random pregnant women in a horse stall in Bethlehem, sorry.

00:12Simply ascending and descending from heaven.

00:14And this was the foundational truth known to virtually all pre-Nicene Christians.

00:19But sadly, that truth was almost completely erased.

00:22In 303 AD, Roman Emperor Diocletian declared war on Christians,

00:27burning their churches, killing believers and forcing everyone to sacrifice to pagan gods.

00:33Only Jews were exempt from the empire-wide genocide.

00:36Roman soldiers went street to street, house to house,

00:39with their mission to find and destroy every last copy of the first Christian Bible.

00:44After 10 years of terror and persecution they thought all traces of it had been erased,

00:48and by 313 AD and its Edict of Milan they were now ready to replace Christianity with a new hybrid

00:54religion that mixed Judaism and a belief in Jesus.
