00:00In triathlon, 19-year-old Kira Ellis of the Philippine National Team stood out as the top Filipino finisher after placing 17th overall at the 2025 Asia Triathlon Cup in Gamagori, Japan.
00:13Ellis registered a time of 1 hour, 1 minute and 19 seconds, a new personal best, and improved from her gold medal time of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 7 seconds last month at the Europe Triathlon Junior Cup in Latvia.
00:28Meanwhile, fellow Filipina Katrina Salazar finished at the tail end with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes and 19 seconds.
00:36In the elite men's division, Iñaki Lorbes placed 52nd with a time of 58 minutes and 2 seconds, followed by Miguel Tayag who finished 61st.
00:46Meanwhile, Joshua Ramos did not complete the race.
