00:00Pinoy wakeboarder Raph Trinidad just finished the 2025 IWWF Asia and Oceania Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships

00:11held in Angeles City, Pampanga from Friday to Sunday.

00:15Here are the highlights from teammate Rafael Bandayreal.

00:20Hometown hero Raph Trinidad did not disappoint his fellow countrymen who supported his campaign

00:28at the IWWF Asia and Oceania Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships

00:34held in Angeles City, Pampanga last weekend.

00:38It was because he won a gold medal in the main event of the Intercontinental Competition,

00:44the Men's Open Wakeboard Finals.

00:48Raph Trinidad impressed the judges in his first run when he showed his signature moves

00:55like the Heelside Frontside 900, Scarecrow to Frontlip and KGB.

01:01The finishing trick of the former World No. 2 Cable Wakeboarder was also great

01:06when he did the Toeside Backside 720.

01:10Because of this, he scored 81.67.

01:15Stanislav Fidelski of Kyrgyzstan also tried to catch up but he crashed out in his run 2.

01:22That's why the Sea Gang Silver Medalist won.

01:26It's different in other countries.

01:29But now, we're actually in our home turf.

01:31I can say that it added pressure because of course, this is our hometown.

01:36But I really knew deep down in myself that I came home early,

01:43I practiced with the team for almost 2 months.

01:46So all of us were prepared, I was prepared.

01:49I knew that I already did the work.

01:51Whatever I do in the water, the Lord will take care of it.

01:54And He gave this to me.

01:56In the Women's Open Wakeboard, the 13-year-old phenom from Thailand,

02:02Brabim Pipatsawadi, made his debut.

02:04Even though he's the youngest and the most talented among all the finalists in his category,

02:10Brabim proved that champions come in all shapes and sizes.

02:14In the Women's Open Wake Skate Finals,

02:17Ayla Dondiago of the Philippines won the silver medal.

02:21That was her first time participating in an international competition.

02:27It feels really amazing to be representing the Philippines.

02:31And I just want everybody to know that anything you set your mind to, you can definitely do.

02:36In total, 85 world-class athletes from 11 different countries

02:41came to Angeles City to participate in the 3-day event.
