00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning which is chilly outside
00:04with some pockets of air frost in the countryside. The reason why things remain settled today is
00:10because we're still under the influence of a ridge of high pressure which is seated across
00:15Scandinavia. Weather fronts attempting to move in from the Atlantic but certainly for the next
00:2148 hours it does remain dry. All change into the weekend. A bit of a breeze through Thursday though
00:28through today down towards the southeast as well as the western side of Scotland where we'll see
00:33more on the way of cloud particularly for the outer Hebrides. Cloud comes and goes across the
00:37southeast again with that brisk breeze inland. Watch out for one or two mist and fog patches to start
00:42the day. A little frost in places but certainly the sun will get to work. And through the morning
00:47into the afternoon for most it'll be bright with sunny spells. The cloud could build through the
00:52middle to the latter part of the day even so a fine end to the afternoon. And feeling
00:58pleasant in that sunshine despite the fact we will see some cooler air right the way through
01:03the morning. Temperatures then 16 to 20 degrees Celsius so up a notch on yesterday. Now through
01:10this evening and overnight not a lot of change. Yet again that breeze will be with us across eastern
01:16and southeastern counties picking up across Aberdeenshire, Caithness, Shetland and Orkney and certainly
01:21more of a wind from the north channel towards western Scotland covering Northern Ireland. Your temperatures
01:26overnight milder towards the west 9 or 10 but inland across England, Wales, eastern parts of Scotland
01:33dipping down to low single figures particularly again across rural spots. Now on Friday more cloud
01:38across central eastern and southern areas of England pushing ever northwards and westwards. Broken
01:43cloud and brighter skies elsewhere but notice this rain just waiting in the wings that will herald a
01:48change into Saturday. Before that though temperatures arriving around 17 to 18 degrees Celsius but quite gusty
01:55over the highlands as well as the Northern Ireland hills. So wherever you are enjoy the rest of this
02:00working week with some sunshine. Check out our 10 day trend and our weekend outlook because rain is on
02:06its way for the weekend. I'll see you later.
