00:00Green beans are often the overlooked side dish on the Thanksgiving table, but not this year, when you try my garlicky bacon green beans.
00:09We're going to start by melting some butter, along with a little bit of olive oil.
00:15I'm going to add my washed and trimmed green beans.
00:20Toss them to coat in all of the olive oil and butter.
00:24That popping and sizzling means the green beans are starting to pan roast.
00:27So keep stirring constantly and move the green beans around the pan so that they don't burn.
00:33But it'll take about five to ten minutes for them to really soften and get a little brown on the edges.
00:39Now we're ready to add some salt,
00:45some pepper,
00:48and the most important ingredients, fresh garlic that's chopped, and last and most importantly, bacon!
00:57It's already cooked and crumbled.
01:02All we have to do is toss it in.
01:12It's so smoky from that bacon and a lot of garlic, but it's still crisp, the way green beans should be.
01:19I'm Roni Proder. I hope that you give this recipe a try for the holidays or any time of year.
01:23I'll see you guys later.
