00:04Instead, he forced millions of people to watch the show.
00:07That backfired bigly.
00:10He might have to release the Epstein files to distract us from this now.
00:25This show is not important.
00:27What is important is that we get to live in a country that allows us to have a show like this.
00:33They know how lucky we are here.
00:35Our freedom to speak is what they admire most about this country.
00:39And that's something I'm embarrassed to say I took for granted until they pulled my friend Stephen off the air.
00:43And tried to coerce the affiliates who run our show in the cities that you live in to take my show off the air.
00:51That's not legal.
00:51That's not American.
00:53That is un-American.
00:54And it is so dangerous.
00:57The president of the United States made it very clear he wants to see me and the hundreds of people who work here fired from our jobs.
01:05Our leader celebrates Americans losing their livelihoods because he can't take a joke.
01:11He was somehow able to squeeze Colbert out of CBS.
01:19Then he turned his sights on me.
01:21And now he's openly rooting for NBC to fire Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers and the hundreds of Americans who work for their shows who don't make millions of dollars.
01:31And I hope that if that happens or if there's even any hint of that happening, you will be 10 times as loud as you were this week.
01:39We have to speak out against this guy.
01:55Welcome back to Jimmy Kimmel Live.
01:57We are still on the air in most of the country, except ironically for Washington, D.C., where we have been preempted.
02:04We are off the air in Nashville, New Orleans, Portland, Oregon, Salt Lake City, and St. Louis, where none of my wife's family is able to watch the show tonight.
