00:07We gather also to pray for ourselves, to acknowledge before God and each other,

00:12the shared responsibility we have to uphold the law and maintain justice for all people in our society.

00:18We become deeply conscious of the imperfections and misjudgments to which our human limitations make us vulnerable.

00:27Let us open our hearts to the goodness and grace of our God,

00:30who gives us the hope and the strength to meet the challenges of this high call.

00:35May the heritage left by those remembered today enable us to draw upon their example and inspiration.

00:42In the words of St Paul in a letter to the Hebrews,

00:45seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,

00:49let us run with patience the race that is set out for us.
