00:00Don't push me mate!
00:02Fed up of feral teens
00:04What are you doing mate?
00:06Cheesed off with the town louts
00:08Or driven mad by the druggy deadbeats
00:10I've got drugs on me
00:1220 racks
00:14Well fear no more
00:16You are under arrest
00:18Here's the answer to your prayers
00:22If you're causing criminality in this town
00:24We will come after you
00:26Meet the coppers leading the fight back
00:30Taking back your neighbourhood
00:32You are under arrest suspicion
00:34Of possession and attention to life
00:36Cleaning up our streets
00:38You've tested my patience
00:40We are at the forefront of policing
00:42We're frontline
00:44Day in, day out
00:46Stay locked! Stop!
00:48Street cops
00:50Catching the yacht
00:52This time
01:00The beautiful game turns ugly
01:02He's back!
01:04He's back!
01:06Putting the brakes on two wheeled tearaways
01:08It's my friend's scooter
01:10It's gonna be...
01:12And Northampton's angriest fella
01:14Isn't going down without a fight
01:16Harassment prop!
01:18Harassment!
01:19Harassment!
01:24Across the country
01:26People want the cops to take the fight to the criminals
01:30Britain is extremely crime ridden
01:34And it is very sad
01:36In my youth we very very rarely
01:40Heard of a knife crime or a gun crime
01:44It is very bad compared to when I was younger
01:47Very frightening
01:48Makes us very nervous for going out and about
01:51I don't want a crime number
01:53If I'm being burgled
01:54I don't want a crime number
01:56When my car's been broken into the octeenth time
01:58I need a policeman there
02:00To do something about it
02:02Nearly a million people call Northamptonshire home
02:06But it only takes a few bad apples
02:08To make their life hell
02:11Normal members of the public
02:13Law-abiding citizens
02:14What they have to put up with
02:16From...
02:17I have to word this nicely
02:19The non-law-abiding citizens
02:22It must be horrific
02:25Northamptonshire's street cops
02:27Love nothing more than scoping out troublemakers
02:33Can you round there?
02:34Yeah, I got it mate
02:37In Northampton
02:38One household is getting too big for its boots
02:41Today
02:42The brazen drug dealers are getting a surprise morning call
02:45We've regularly seen them like
02:47Stepping on the doorstep and handing parcels to people
02:50So they're quite nonchalant about how they go about it
02:53I think that's everybody
02:55PC Dan is leading the job
02:57We're going to be doing a section 23 misuse of drugs warrant today
03:02An address in the boovary for drugs
03:05As well as documentation relating to drug supply
03:08And that includes on digital devices
03:10If their intel is gravy
03:13There'll be two fellas at the house
03:15The intelligence suggests that they're both
03:17Dealing from the property itself
03:19We're going to hit it from two different sides
03:21So I think Schaff and Dilly
03:23You'll got an MOE
03:25PC Schaff will be first up
03:27We'll have two at the front
03:30Just to obviously watch the windows
03:32And make sure nothing gets thrown out etc
03:34Cool
03:35Happy?
03:36Happy?
03:37Yeah
03:39The suspects might not give a warm welcome
03:43No one's taking any gambles
03:48Righto check
03:50Is everybody ready?
03:54The team are hoping to strike gold
03:56With a 9am knock
03:58No bells are being rung on this visit
04:01It's quite a big house
04:03It's a three bed house as well
04:12There'll be a minimum of two arrested today
04:14And then depending on what else we find within the property
04:18Or then depending on whether anybody else is arrested within the address
04:25Schaff, Alistair, you're on the port now
04:27Standby
04:32They're going in
04:34They're going in
04:47Police!
04:48Police!
04:49Police!
04:50Police!
04:51Police!
04:52Police!
04:53Police!
04:54Police!
04:55Police!
04:56Police!
04:57Police!
04:58Police!
04:59Police!
05:00Police!
05:01Police!
05:02Police!
05:03One sleeping beauty gets a personal wake-up call
05:06Complete with cuffs
05:08What a lucky man
05:10Alright mate, we've got a warranted search to address, yeah?
05:13We've got a downstairs
05:14Is yourself in?
05:15Yeah
05:16Ok
05:17I'll be happy, it's just the work
05:18Just one second, aren't we?
05:20Just one second, aren't we?
05:22So, one slightly dozy suspect in the bag
05:25But he appears to be the only person at home
05:36Where's everybody else?
05:37Sorry?
05:38Where's everyone else?
05:39The raid has been textbook
05:40Now to find out what's going on
05:41Is anyone going to be coming back to the house?
05:54Just because...
05:55The raid has been textbook
05:56Now to find out if the cops' intel is on the money
06:11Yeah, oh good mate
06:16This is fine
06:17Cool
06:18There's another fire in there
06:26Coming up
06:27I wasn't expecting just him to be here
06:30The raid leaves no stone unturned
06:33Yeah
06:34We send it all back, right?
06:35Right
06:37Weeding out a shed load of surprises
06:40Loads mate
06:41And cops blow the whistle on a footy fan riot
06:47Get here!
06:48Get here!
06:49Get here!
06:50Get here!
06:51Get here!
06:52Get here!
06:53Get here!
06:54Get here!
06:55Get here!
06:56Get here!
06:57Get here!
07:03Policing a big mob is tricky at the best of times
07:07Add a few too many sherbets to the mix
07:09And things can easily turn nasty
07:13When they've got the drugs and drink on the streets
07:16It's very intimidating to have to walk past them
07:19Or through them or around them
07:21You get horrible remarks shouted at you
07:24They think it's hilarious
07:25Urinating on the streets from the booze
07:28They're throwing stuff all the cans on the floor
07:29In the garden
07:31It's an absolute nightmare
07:34For the cops
07:35Rowdy footy fans can sometimes spark mass mayhem
07:46Yeah, when people are together and there's a big crowd
07:49Especially at football games
07:50It's just a snowball effect
07:51So you'll get one that starts shouting
07:54Jeffing, throwing stuff
07:56If we're in the way around you've got 15, 20 people
07:58And it is that pack mentality
08:00It's match day in Kettering
08:02And the game is set to be a powder keg
08:04As they're taking on arch rivals Telford United
08:07In a play-off to get into the National League
08:09The energy can shift very quickly to the negative side of it
08:14And it can get violent very quickly
08:16It only takes one or two people from that crowd
08:18To start engaging in something that never all follows
08:21Non-league games don't usually cause much drama for the cops
08:27But for the play-off, they're out in force
08:3038 of our boys are on the ground
08:35Armed with specialist evidence gatherers
08:38And hooligan spotters like PCJB
08:42Just basically at the minute we're just doing pub checks
08:45Just to monitor the fans going to both sides of the club
08:48Their first challenge is to keep thousands of drunken supporters
08:52From attacking each other
08:54Even before they get to the ground
08:56Just keep an eye on them
08:57Monitor who the risks are
08:59Engage them when necessary
09:01So the Kettering fans are in that pub
09:04Down there
09:06And the majority of the Telford fans are in that pub there
09:08Because if they do try to engage with each other
09:10Then it could lead to potential disorder
09:12These sides have got previous
09:14Two years ago
09:16A fella was stabbed in a brawl
09:18This afternoon
09:20Trouble is already brewing
09:22Hours before kick-off
09:26Some of the boost-up Telford lads
09:28Have already been chucked off the coaches
09:30Bringing them into town
09:32Because they've been drinking
09:33Which you're not allowed to do on the coach
09:35To keep drugs are not fair behaviour
09:37Some have been taking drugs
09:39Could get lively
09:41Less than an hour till kick-off
09:42And eyes are on the fans
09:44As they finally stream out of the boozes
09:48The last of the Telford lots
09:50Have now left the pub
09:51And are heading towards the ground
09:52We're going to make our way towards the ground now
09:55The town centre is finally clear of boost-up fans
09:59But the pressure now switches to the ground
10:02It's a record crowd piling into the stands
10:07Security are giving fans the once-over
10:10Looking for illegal flares and weapons
10:13And here, unlike at professional games
10:16The beers are flowing pitch-side
10:19It's party time
10:21For now
10:23Kick-off
10:24Kick-off
10:28It's a tense start
10:29Until Kettering Town strike gold
10:32And finish 1-0 up at half-time
10:41But when Telford pull level in the second half
10:44The trouble starts
10:46Kettering go ahead with a beauty
11:01But throw it away and lose 4-2
11:05It's promotion for their arch-rivals Telford
11:08The match might be over
11:10But it's kicking off again on the pitch
11:13As the winning Telford fans take to the turf
11:19Give him the pitch
11:21Give him the pitch
11:23Give him the pitch
11:27Give him the pitch
11:29Give him the pitch
11:30Give him the pitch
11:40Street cops have raided a potential drug den
11:43That's been ruining life for the locals
11:48Where's everyone else?
11:51One bloke is in cuffs
11:53But the other suspect wasn't home
11:56He's gonna be nearby
12:00The only problem is he's not
12:01He's not gonna be stupid
12:03If he's sort of been in the street
12:04And he's seen us going
12:05He's not gonna come back, is he?
12:07We've got him in custody at the moment
12:09Which is good
12:11Now, Dan and the team are combing the house
12:14For drugs and weapons
12:18Yeah
12:20Extendable baton, right?
12:21Yeah
12:22The real extendable baton isn't your average DIY tool
12:27But when it comes to drugs
12:29Even the sniffer dog is drawing a blank
12:32There is only one place left to search
12:36The garden shed
12:38But Shaff and Sergeant Aaron
12:41Aren't looking to water the flowerpots
12:45Was it like this?
12:47Was it in cash?
12:48In cash
12:50Rage like this cause a stir
12:53So community officers go door to door
12:56To reassure the neighbours
13:01So we're just coming and speaking to residents
13:04Making sure they're aware of what's happened
13:06If there's any issues or concerns
13:08And just letting them know that we'll be in the area
13:09People normally get a bit rattled and a bit wary about what's going on
13:16So it's just making sure people are okay
13:18Hello, sir, are you okay?
13:19Yes
13:20Good
13:21We're just doing some house-to-house today
13:22Just wanted to let you know that we've just completed a successful misuse of drugs warrants act
13:30We're just letting residents know obviously to say that we're not going to stand for that sort of behaviour in an area
13:36Do you have any concerns?
13:41No, no, I'm done
13:43My concern is that, yeah, I've got to see you even more often, to be honest
13:47Yeah
13:49That's all we would like
13:51Back at the house
13:54Ding dong
13:56More people have come back
13:58But not the missing suspect the cops want
14:07Cannabis here
14:08Deal bags
14:10Out in the shed
14:11Finally, Shaff and Aaron have a breakthrough
14:15They're playing, they're just leaving
14:18That's cash
14:19And cannabis
14:29Mushrooms are a little edible, aren't they?
14:33Among the frozen peas, a stash of what looks like mind-bending mushrooms, mixed with pots
14:39Edible mushroom cannabis
14:41You don't see it in a physical form a lot
14:45That's a good collection there
14:49Yeah, absolute tons in their shed
14:52If they're right, there's enough drugs to get half the estate high
14:56Dan, you're receiving
14:59Here you go
15:01Yeah, in the shed, mate
15:03Loads of cannabis
15:05Cash
15:07And that's not all
15:10Yeah, that's cash, class A
15:12And cannabis
15:14Loads, mate
15:16Yeah, class A
15:18It's a stash of the hard stuff
15:20It looks like crack cocaine
15:22And MDMA
15:23Cash
15:24All over, scattered over
15:25Inside the bags
15:27And it's pretty much ready to go
15:29All this stuff
15:30I'm assuming that
15:31They'll be dealt out to
15:33Other dealers
15:39Yeah
15:43With no one fessing up
15:45Dan has to treat everyone in the house as a suspect
15:48Now three people are being held
15:51So at this moment in time, okay
15:53I'm arresting you, okay
15:55Yeah, being concerned in the supply of drugs
15:58Okay, follow my colleague
16:00Cheers, Becky, thanks
16:01Cheers, Becky, thanks
16:08It's been a great morning's work for Alistair and the team
16:12We're hopeful for a good result
16:14That will sort of ease some tensions within the area
16:17And as well, restore some confidence in the place
16:19Thank you, Mark
16:21Thank you, Mark
16:25A very successful warrant, I should say
16:27We were expecting this sort of amount
16:30They're living and causing haunted neighbours
16:34So, yeah
16:36It's a great result
16:38It's a successful warrant, isn't it?
16:41The team have struck another blow in their fight
16:44To clean up the streets for the locals
16:50They've seized more than five grand in cash
16:53And a shed load of nasty narcotics
16:56Worth hundreds
16:58Oh, boy
17:00What a day
17:01The cops get hundreds of emergency calls every week
17:14From locals suffering from antisocial and violent behaviour
17:18We're losing the grip of our country
17:21It's becoming a dirty, crime-ridden place
17:25And it's heartbreaking
17:27There is no respect from anyone these days, unfortunately
17:29Especially the youngsters
17:32They're showing no respect at all
17:35Children are not taught respect
17:38Not like we were
17:40Our local copper used to clip our ear on
17:43These days, one cop is attacked every ten minutes
17:47Policing has changed
17:49That's reflected in the way we have to respond and deal with situations
17:54I'd be lying to you if I said the job role hasn't got more violent over the years
17:59Out on the street, anything can happen
18:02But this team is up for the challenge
18:05Right, he's gonna have a play
18:08See what Northampton throws up today
18:11Minutes into their shift, Sergeant Rod and PC Adam are already called into action
18:19Yeah, where are you?
18:21Yeah, where are you?
18:23Back up is needed pronto
18:25A man's threatened to kill a family member
18:28And the arrest is on a knife edge
18:29You've arrested me
18:30When did you get arrested for this?
18:32Literally a couple of months ago
18:34Bro, this keeps happening
18:36This is harassment now
18:38Don't grab me, bruv
18:39What do you mean, don't grab me?
18:41Don't grab me?
18:42You're under arrest, bruv
18:43Yeah, but you're not grabbing me
18:44Can you get the dog to me?
18:45Yeah, that's fine
18:46You're not grabbing me, bruv
18:47No, you don't need to handle
18:50Yes, I do
18:52Yeah, that's fine
18:53Get your f*** hands on
18:54Get your f*** hands on
18:55Get your f*** hands on
18:56Stop
18:57Get your f*** hands on
18:58Stop
18:59Listen, I'm trying to be calm
19:00He's so aggressive
19:02That this job calls for a cage on wheels
19:05Is there anyone that can take a ban?
19:07Take a...
19:08To...
19:09To...
19:10To...
19:11To...
19:12Yeah, cool
19:13Watch, I'll remember your face
19:14I'll remember your face, dude
19:15That's fine, bro
19:16Say no more, bro
19:17What?
19:19Come on, sir, actually
19:20Come on
19:21Nah
19:22Yeah, I've got the biggest shank for you
19:25It's a clear threat to the lives of the two cops
19:28Rod and Adam hit the blues and twos
19:33190 metres
19:3410 yards
19:3510 next way
19:37Assaults on cops are on the rise
19:40Staggeringly
19:41There were more than 55,000 last year
19:44Just stop
19:45Nah, bro
19:46You ain't seen nothing
19:47Trust me
19:48Watch when we get to the station
19:49It's just gonna get worse
19:50What?
19:51The van is a few streets away
19:55Keep on going straight
19:59But with the man giving it some
20:01This is just gonna get 10 times
20:03Time is f***ing worse now
20:04Cops have no choice but to pin him down
20:13Help is on hand
20:14But that just gives the fella more people to share the love with
20:18Nah, I leave the cops on the front and I'll just sit down calmly, bro
20:22For everyone's sake, this bloke needs to be locked up ASAP
20:26Why are you trying to break him?
20:27Why are you trying to break him?
20:28Look
20:29Why are you trying to break him?
20:30Look
20:31He's on a nice nose, bro
20:32Like I won't
20:33You can break that down too, bro
20:34Let's calm down
20:35Hey
20:36Hey
20:37Harassment, bro
20:38Harassment
20:39What?
20:40What?
20:41I'll bite you
20:42No
20:43Coming up
20:46Mr. Angry takes it up a notch
20:50And cops take Mr. Flighty down with tasers drawn
21:00Stay where you are
21:01Stay where you are
21:02Stay where you are
21:15Street cops Rod and Adam put pedal to the metal to back up a crew
21:20You're not grabbing me
21:21Who've nicked a bloke accused of threatening to kill one of his own family
21:25I've got the biggest shank for you
21:26They've already nicked the charmer but he's Point Black refusing to get in the cage
21:31I'll bite your nose, bro
21:34Like I won't headbutt you and break your nose
21:36I'm not going to take the chest off
21:38Wise move
21:39These don't sound like empty threats
21:41You're not making threats
21:42Ah, bro, if I won't headbutt you and snap your nose me
21:45You're not going to do that
21:46Read my record, bro
21:49Read my record, man
21:51I already have
21:52He's got previous for assaulting a cop
21:55And I knocked him out for 35 minutes
21:58Yeah, you remember that?
21:59Are you going to be hanging in front of the van?
22:01There won't be any punches flying this time
22:04Or any kicks
22:05Cue the leg straps
22:07Fast straps
22:08Yeah
22:09I've not got any
22:10You've got some on ya?
22:11Ha ha, you've got to strap me in
22:13What on his head?
22:15Get him on his front
22:16Get him on his front
22:17Get him on his front
22:19Folks are desperate for more bobbies on our streets
22:23Which is tricky if cops need double the numbers to handle fellas like this
22:28Talking of which
22:30This guy needs a third crew
22:32Can you just do his caps?
22:34Keep your hands bare
22:35Stop tensing
22:36Stop tensing
22:37Stop tensing
22:38Nice and relaxed
22:39There we go
22:41You alright down there?
22:42Yeah
22:43Okay, just strap his legs
22:45Lift his legs up a little bit
22:47You alright there, bud?
22:48Our street cops face danger on the daily
22:51More than 600 officers in Northamptonshire were assaulted in just one year
22:57My first thought is going home to my family
23:00Everything I do that day, I still need to leave at the end of the day
23:05Do we put ourselves in silly situations?
23:07Say silly, dangerous
23:09Yeah
23:10Have there been some close calls in the past?
23:13Absolutely
23:14Leg straps should prevent any close calls with this geezer
23:19But the team can't relax until the cage door is slammed
23:23They're going to sit you up
23:25I'll do take it out of this pouch
23:27Okay
23:28Got it
23:29Hey you up
23:30You do know I'm about to get ready to release, innit?
23:32And getting in there is easier said than done
23:35You've got to take the handcuffs off
23:37What, you think the handcuffs are the same reader?
23:39Hey look at my face
23:42Look at my face
23:43Look at my face
23:44Look at my face
23:45Look at my face
23:46Ready?
23:47Look at my face
23:48Look at my face
23:49Backwards
23:50Backwards
23:51Backwards
23:52Backwards
23:53Backwards
23:54Backwards
23:55Backwards
23:56Look at my face
23:57Calm down
23:58Calm down
23:59Calm down
24:01You do not understand bro
24:02Okay
24:04Watch
24:06Watch
24:07Watch
24:08Watch
24:09Watch me
24:10One door down
24:12One to go
24:13The Sarge is taking care of this one
24:16Get out door
24:17Get out door
24:18Sit down
24:19Sit down
24:20Get out door
24:21Yeah
24:35Mission accomplished nice one rod
24:48Adam let's go
24:51Next port of call the Nick, but there's still time for him to give them one more salvo on the way
25:01I'm the devil's son, okay
25:08Don't but don't are you ready gonna hurt yourself
25:21I think people that try to destabilize the community, cause antisocial behavior, criminality etc, it's important for the officers, the community to actually take robust action against them
25:39That's one gobby and crestfallen fella off the streets, but cops will run into plenty more of these spanners
25:46This current climate whereby people feel it's acceptable to lash out towards the uniform, it's not right
25:55Over in Kettering, a 38 strong team of cops are keeping a watchful eye on the Kettering Town vs. Telford United playoff
26:14The aim of the cops game is to stop the rival fans from getting up close and personal
26:22But after a nail-biting 90
26:26Telford have taken it
26:28Get off the pitch!
26:30And now their fans are on the pitch
26:32Get off the pitch!
26:34Get off the pitch!
26:35Keeping the rivals apart is top priority
26:39And the cops are outnumbered 10 to 1
26:46At the exit, the goal is to send the Kettering crowd out first and hold the Telford lot behind the entrance gate
26:54You need to leave now, guys
26:56A head-to-head could cause proper carnage
26:59Exit's that way, you need to go this way
27:01Exit is this way
27:03Go, go, go, go forward
27:05Some of the fans have other ideas
27:08Now, focus
27:09Off you go
27:10Off you go
27:11Off you go
27:12Upside
27:13Struggle
27:14No
27:15Move on
27:17Move on
27:18Argue, argue
27:19Come on
27:20Disperse
27:21I will touch ya
27:22Disperse
27:23Move
27:24Asking nicely isn't cutting it
27:27Next tactic
27:28Form a line and drive the mob back
27:31There's fans there that want to enjoy a sport and there's fans there ultimately that are there to cause issues and that's always been the case I think
27:41Especially in these local clubs there might be more hostility towards one team to another
27:46And there will be people there that are just there for the kick of it, kick off at the team, kick off at the police and force has to be used sometimes to get these people away
27:56Mate, I'm going that way with my daughter
27:58I'm in hospital
27:59I'm in hospital
28:00Get it out
28:01Get it out
28:02Get it out
28:03It's working
28:04The home fans are pushed out of the exit gate
28:07Yes
28:08No
28:10Unable to scrap with a Telford lot, the home supporters lash out at the law
28:14Get that way
28:16And the kitchen lot have gone out
28:24Order restored. That's one-nil to the cops
28:27cops. We cleared off the Kettering fans. We've had to push them away out of the grounds because
28:33basically they were staying here to have it out with the Telford lot. It's taken over an hour to
28:38clear the losing Kettering fans out. We want to create an environment that's safe enough for the
28:42Telford fans to go to prevent any further disorder. Most Telford fans are making their merry way home
28:49but some are having to walk to the station including troublemakers thrown off the coaches
28:55this morning. And now the Kettering lads are waiting. It looks like they want a rematch.
29:08It's not only disorder and drugs that make streets sketchy. Rubbish and graffiti can make our estates
29:14miserable. Fighting graffiti in the area is horrendous. People drive up in vans that just
29:21throw the stuff on the side of the road and drive off. Not even their own area. People say to me,
29:28oh, I wouldn't want to live there. It's scruffy there. We look like a slum. There's even recipes
29:34for how to use drugs, which is really disturbing. Children are walking past that. Children can see
29:39that. We need the council to keep the area clean so people don't think, well, this is a run-down
29:45area. We're looking to wear drugs here because nobody's going to notice. We need to give people
29:50what they want and what's going to make them feel safe. And that's where neighbour policing is
29:54pivotal. Inspector Nicola Davis-Lyons and the street cop team have made it their mission to
30:02clean up places like the Bouverie estate. What we're here today specifically for is to conduct
30:08an environmental visual audit. In layman's, that's getting boots on the ground and taking
30:14a look around the gaff. I mean, you can see, you've got like alcohol bottles, vapes. The main entrance
30:22for the school is on this one, isn't it? Yeah. And the school is literally there. We know that this
30:28area lends itself quite well to people that want to sit here, congregate. I mean, there's alcohol
30:34bottles, there's little bottles of vodka, there's vapes. And if you look how close you are to someone's
30:39living room window, nobody wants that. Having hotspots like this on their radar means the cops
30:44can ramp up patrols and get a handle on the local crims. I don't think that's an unreasonable
30:51expectation for people to have, that you could walk around your local area and hope to not be a victim
30:57of crime. I think we need to show the community that this isn't just talk, because if we can make
31:02this more difficult for criminals to be in, then it helps everybody. Often, the proactive work of a
31:09street cop can be like going fishing. You never know what you're going to catch. It's always stuff
31:16goes in Boovery. It never stops. Schaff and Dan are casting their net across the Boovery.
31:24It's a rabbit warren of cut-throughs and alleyways. It's easy to get in and out of town as well.
31:32It's like a little rat run.
31:39But before long...
31:41Huh? He still felt like he was looking in little dresses.
31:46Eagle-eyed Schaff has something on the line.
31:49You see his face?
31:51I don't record anything.
31:54You drive up there and go to the end.
31:56A suspicious bloke, hood up, loitering in a cut-through,
32:00means it's time for the cops to make a move.
32:06Well, it's just going as a guy on the bike.
32:09At the other end, he's got a mate in tow.
32:12It's just a guy.
32:15With suspicions they could be drug-dealing, Schaff and Dan want a word.
32:19Stay where you are. Stay where you are.
32:24But the pair are on their toes.
32:27Stay where you are. Stay where you are.
32:31Stay where you are.
32:31Time for search for the section.
32:33This is drug-dealing.
32:34Go your hands.
32:35Dan nabs the cyclist,
32:37whilst Schaff goes back for the other lad.
32:40Stay where you are.
32:41Turned round.
32:43Turned round.
32:43Off is a big taser.
32:44The threat of 50,000 volts does the trick.
32:48But the cyclist is a bit more slippery.
32:50Off is a bit taser. Stay down.
32:52Get on the floor.
32:55Get on the floor.
32:57Stop.
32:58Stay on the floor.
32:59Turned round.
33:00Don't stop, bro.
33:00Turned round.
33:01Don't touch.
33:02Turned round.
33:03Turned round.
33:04Turned round.
33:04Turned round.
33:07Stay where you are.
33:08Stay where you are.
33:09You're detained for search under section 23,
33:12misuse the drugs act.
33:12He's a big fella,
33:16but struggling with Schaff and Dan
33:18isn't going to do him any favours.
33:20Hey.
33:20Go for it.
33:22It's a wonder why he's so keen to get away.
33:26Here's the main guy.
33:27This guy.
33:29Come here.
33:30Come here.
33:31Okay.
33:32Stay where you are.
33:33Okay.
33:33Do not move.
33:34Okay.
33:35Stay where you are.
33:36Turned round.
33:37Hang up for it, mate.
33:38Hold it.
33:39We're going to find you back, mate.
33:40You're detained as well for search, all right?
33:43And the section 23, misuse the drugs act.
33:44You are under detained.
33:46And the section 23, misuse the drugs act.
33:48Okay?
33:53Wait, please.
33:54No, no.
33:54You left.
33:55You've been fighting us.
33:57Thank you very much.
33:57Say where you are.
33:58Thank you very much.
34:00Thank you very much.
34:01You speak English?
34:01Okay, no problem.
34:02He might not be saying thank you after the search.
34:06Do you speak English?
34:07I leave you speak English.
34:08Right.
34:09On 1298, Dan Noon from Camel Square Police Station, okay?
34:13You're both detained for a search under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.
34:19Okay.
34:19Okay?
34:20The guns for the search.
34:21We've seen you come off Wellenberg Road.
34:23Just listen.
34:24This is my colleague.
34:25Oi.
34:26You've seen you come off Wellenberg Road.
34:28Yeah.
34:28You're on a bike.
34:29You've both met up.
34:30I've seen you exchange something with you, which I suspect to be drugs, okay?
34:35Okay.
34:36As we approach you, you've decided to run, okay?
34:39So the objective of the search is controlled drugs, okay?
34:42Even if you've got anything on you that's going to hurt myself and my colleague.
34:46During the bid for freedom, the cyclist has dropped a few things.
34:51A glasses case and a phone.
34:53Why are you trying to get away?
34:55Sharp girl.
34:56Michael, hang on.
34:58Polish might not be Schaffendan's forte, but they won't want these two plotting.
35:04Don't speak to him.
35:05Yeah.
35:06Why are you trying to get away?
35:08I don't know.
35:09You're running.
35:10You're trying to fight my outfit with my colleague.
35:12What's your name, pal?
35:13My name is Michael.
35:15A quick check on systems, and it seems he's taking the Michael.
35:19Are you sure you're not telling me your real name?
35:22I don't think you're telling me the truth.
35:24Why?
35:25Because I can't find you in the system.
35:27Romanian guy telling me this new name.
35:30Okay, you give me dodgy details, yeah?
35:32Okay, listen to me.
35:32You tell me lies again.
35:35Okay, what's your real name now?
35:37Pavel.
35:38Pavel?
35:38Yeah.
35:41One bloke is in the clear and can head off, but Pavel gives him instructions.
35:50Okay, my friend, you're free to go now.
35:52This time, tell us, Pavel.
35:53Okay.
35:54This time, tell us, Pavel.
35:55This time, let's talk.
35:58This is...
35:59Hello.
35:59Not much gets past Jaff, and not many people get away, either.
36:10Get ready to stop there.
36:12Where is his phone?
36:13Yeah.
36:13Yeah.
36:13He's free to take.
36:15Okay.
36:16Come in, man.
36:19We've got you on camera, mate.
36:21I know.
36:21You've got his phone.
36:24Is that...
36:25Did he have his phone?
36:26This phone?
36:27No.
36:28It's his phone.
36:28Okay, that's it.
36:29Okay.
36:30That's fine.
36:30You're free to go now.
36:31Go on.
36:31Yeah, you're free.
36:32Yeah.
36:33Phone, bag for evidence.
36:35And there's a clue as to why the cyclist did a runner in the glasses case.
36:39Inside of it, there's a number of bags of what looks like cocaine.
36:51Take a seat there, mate.
36:52Catch of the day is off to the cop shop.
36:56Yeah, that's all right.
36:58Coming up, cops put the brakes on a teenage e-scooter rider.
37:03Your motor, mate.
37:05Yeah, it's very illegal.
37:08And it all kicks off again at the football.
37:11Spray!
37:12Spray!
37:13Spray!
37:22E-scooters are causing mayhem up and down the country.
37:29They drive straight at you.
37:31They weave in and out of you.
37:33They don't weave out of your way.
37:34They're on the footpaths when we're trying to walk along.
37:37They're just wobbling all over the place
37:39and could easily fall off in front of a car.
37:42You see them going along the footpath, along the road,
37:46with young people on,
37:48and you're supposed to be over 18 with a driving licence.
37:51None of these are 18 with a driving licence.
37:56They go far too fast.
37:59They're driving them round through alleyways
38:01at night time with balaclava's on
38:04at silly speeds, usually to get away from the police.
38:08Yeah, they're just a menace to society.
38:11Northamptonshire's answer is Operation Pacify,
38:14launched to crack down on rogue riders.
38:18Leading the op is PC Callum.
38:21I don't think I fancy at all.
38:23Who's blocked an e-scooter,
38:24barrelling it down the road in Corby.
38:33A swift ewee,
38:35and Callum catches up.
38:37There he is.
38:39And he stops.
38:40Tearing along public roads and pavements on one of these
38:45is illegal.
38:46With a saddle, it becomes technically a motorcycle.
38:50So he needs tax and insurance.
38:53Plus...
38:54You got a licence?
39:07No, I don't, I don't, I don't.
39:23How old are you, mate?
39:2418.
39:25Lots of issues with bikes and this sort of stuff.
39:28Yeah, yeah.
39:29I'm not going on the roads, that's why.
39:30I was trying to stay, like, literally on the gravel and everything.
39:33If you want, I can genuinely just walk this home if it's a problem.
39:36Genuinely.
39:36I want to try and work something out with you, mate,
39:39but I'm not sure that's going to be an option.
39:41Okay.
39:43So, I'm going to give you the devastating news.
39:45This is going to be clustered as a motorcycle.
39:47Okay.
39:48So what does that mean?
39:49It means I'm going to have to give you a traffic ticket today
39:51because you don't have a licence, do you?
39:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
39:53And you don't have, do you have insurance?
39:55Obviously, no.
39:56No, no, no.
39:57Do you mind just stepping off it, mate,
39:58and just plonking it on the wall for me?
39:59Yeah.
39:59It just makes me, uh,
40:01makes me a bit more comfortable if I say what I want.
40:02So you're not going to...
40:03Is anything going to happen to...
40:04I really don't.
40:05It's my friend's scooter and it's going to...
40:06It's going to be seized.
40:08So what's going to happen with it?
40:09Okay, I'll give you paperwork and I can get it back.
40:11Okay.
40:11Whilst he may not be committing other crimes,
40:13this unlicensed lad is riding a potentially lethal weapon.
40:18Like, you go around a corner and someone's nans to the other side
40:20and you're walloping with it.
40:22It's going to cause a lot of damage.
40:24Six people died riding them last year
40:26and plenty of pedestrians have been injured.
40:30Right, so you'll be reporting for consideration
40:32the question of prosecuting you for the offence of driving otherwise
40:36in accordance with your licence and driving with no insurance.
40:38Okay.
40:39You do not have to say anything may harm your offence
40:40if you mention now something which you're electronic caught.
40:42And if you do say, maybe get evidence.
40:44Okay.
40:44Okay?
40:46Each offence is six points.
40:47Twelve is disquell.
40:48So I have to report you for totting up.
40:50All right, mate?
40:50Okay.
40:50Thank you very much.
40:51Bye-bye.
40:52Bye-bye.
40:53The friend's going to have to pay quite a stern cost.
40:56I believe it's just over £190 now for the recovery
41:01and there's a daily storage fee around £20.
41:03So he has to prove ownership and all that,
41:05which is notoriously difficult with these sorts of vehicles.
41:13He's disclosed that they've had an argument
41:15and that the bike has been taken without consent.
41:20Most people don't know that riding e-scooters and bikes
41:23is illegal on public roads unless they're rented.
41:26I'd suggest that there's going to be some stern words
41:29when they get and meet again.
41:30This one is now off the road
41:33and the fight against problem e-scooters goes on.
41:40Over in Kettering, tensions are reaching boiling point
41:44between rival football fans.
41:47Telford supporters are finally piling out of the stadium.
41:51But an angry Kettering mob are waiting up the road.
41:56Make it up the whole line there until we can sort this out.
41:59It's a stand-off.
42:01Face back! Face back!
42:03All that matters now is keeping the riled-up sides apart
42:07and giving them marching orders in opposite directions.
42:12No easy feat.
42:14With one fan showing the red card,
42:22the others think better of it and move on.
42:26For Northamptonshire's finest hooligan spotter,
42:29it's a good job, well done.
42:32Well, it was quite an eventful day.
42:33This is the way the match went.
42:35It was a 4-2 win to Telford.
42:38And as you can imagine,
42:39the catching fans weren't very happy with how it went.
42:41Right, get back, get back, mate.
42:45Get back, hold back, hold back, hold back.
42:47You'll get locked up for a breach of the peace.
42:49There was a few issues at the end
42:51with the catching fans not wanting to leave,
42:53which we've managed to resolve.
42:57One arrest.
42:59No criminal damage in the town.
43:01Happy residents,
43:03apart from the Kettering supporters.
43:06Yeah, it's been an eventful leaving, football leaving.
43:11Havel's glasses case contained a stash of amphetamines.
43:20He had to fork out on a fine for possession.
43:24And it turns out that he did a runner
43:26because he was wanted in Poland for assault and robbery.
43:30He'd been running for 11 years,
43:32but thanks to Northampton's finest,
43:34he's now in prison,
43:36soon to be reunited with the Polish plod.
43:39The scrapping football fan was released without charge.
43:50Northamptonshire's angriest fella
43:52is on bail on suspicion of sending malicious communications.
43:55The case of the shedload of drugs
44:00is still under investigation.
44:03The sleepy suspect is on bail
44:05on suspicion of drug dealing.
44:07The other people were released under investigation.
44:11To boot,
44:12street cops located the other suspect
44:14a few days later,
44:16and he is on bail.
44:18We'll be right back to you.
