Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson has emphatically dismissed speculation over his job security following a rocky start to the Championship season.
Reports last week suggested that his position could be in jeopardy after Wrexham lost four of their first five matches and found themselves 21st in the table. The rumours were swiftly squashed by non-executive director Shaun Harvey, who called them “an absolute disgrace,” while Parkinson himself remained focused on the task at hand.

01:16The 57-year-old stressed that periods of doubt have been a constant throughout his time at Wrexham,
01:21but his focus has always been on building the team collectively
01:25rather than listening to external chatter.
01:28Former Wales and West Ham defender Danny Gabidon echoed that sentiment,
01:34calling for patience.
01:35Speaking on BBC Radio Wales, he said,
01:38the jump from League One to the Championship is huge
01:41and Parkinson has so much credit in the bank for what he's already done.
01:46If the club show patience, this squad can be competing near the top by January.
01:51For now, Parkinson's authority at the club is secure
