Television presenter and wool ambassador Catriona Rowntree officially opened the Henty Machinery Field Days on Tuesday, September 23, under clear blue skies.

00:00Just before I came here, I spoke to an executive from AWI.

00:05He's at a trade show in China, one of the biggest trade shows in the world once again.

00:10And I said, what can I share with this audience?

00:13And he said, you tell them they are on a path to happiness.

00:17For the last nine weeks, there has been an uptick in the wool price.

00:21And whilst production is at an all-time low due to the drought that we've experienced right across Australia,

00:26you have so much to look forward to.

00:30From the fashion to the price to everything that you are doing in regards to technology,

00:35thank you to the young people who are here today who are learning

00:38and to the people right across the generations who are contributing to this incredible input to the economy,

00:46that being agriculture.

00:47We have so much to look forward to, so much to be proud of.

00:51Ladies and gentlemen, with all my heart, I am delighted to officially open the Henty Field Day.
