00:00Welcome to Hannity and big breaking news tonight out of Los Angeles where ABC Disney has announced
00:07Jimmy Kimmel will be back on the air tomorrow. Now Disney says in a statement that Kimmel's
00:13comments about Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin were quote ill-timed and thus insensitive
00:18and they are bringing him back after so-called thoughtful conversations. Oh, in other words,
00:25it was Disney's decision, not Donald Trump's decision like the left has been lying to you
00:31about and as we on this program have been telling you about from the very beginning.
00:36Now we have full coverage and an analysis I promise you won't get anywhere else that's
00:41coming up this hour. But first tonight we begin in Glendale, Arizona at a place called State Farm
00:48Stadium. It is the home field of the Arizona Cardinals. It hosted multiple Super Bowls,
00:52college football championships, even the March Madness Final Four. The place seats over 60,000
00:59people and it's been sold out for big events like those plenty of times. But yesterday State Farm
01:06Stadium was full once again, packed to the rafters, not for a game, not for a concert, but instead for
01:12one of the most beautiful, deep and profound outpourings of love and faith that this country
01:17is seen in God knows how long decades. And between the stadium itself and an overflow arena,
01:23over 100,000 plus people gathering in Glendale yesterday to pay tribute to the life, the legacy
01:31and the good cheer of Charlie Kirk. They sang together. They prayed together. They were able
01:37to hear from the people who knew and loved Charlie the most, including some of the most important
01:42people in our country, like the president himself, who gave this beautiful tribute to Charlie Kirk.
01:47Take a look.
01:49Less than two weeks ago, our country was robbed of one of the brightest lights of our times,
01:55a giant of his generation and above all, a devoted husband, father, son, Christian and patriot.
02:04He was assassinated because he lived bravely. He lived boldly and he argued brilliantly without apology.
02:15He did what was right for our nation. I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that
02:23none of us will ever forget Charlie Kirk and neither now will history.
02:30At this moment in history, the magnitude and the impact of that Charlie Kirk is having at this moment
02:42on this country, it is incalculable. And for all the famous faces that gathered to pay tribute to Charlie,
02:47the most powerful moment of those many hours yesterday came from his widow, Erica, who showed
02:54she is living out the deep and true Christian faith that she and Charlie shared in the most beautiful,
03:00unbelievable, unexpected way possible for giving her late husband's assassin. Take a look.
03:06My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life.
03:20That young man. That young man. That young man. On the cross, our Savior said,
03:30Father, forgive them for they not know what they do. That man. That young man.
03:47I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do.
04:05There's truly nothing more Christian, nothing more Christ-like than what Erica did in that moment.
04:10Charlie's memorial service even brought President Trump and Elon Musk back together for a few moments,
04:15something that Charlie himself had pledged that he would try to do as Elon and the White House said
04:21it was all for Charlie. Now, all this collectively is a reminder that times like these, it absolutely
04:28brings out the best in people. All of those people yesterday, all the people watching at home
04:34and seeing this, we are seeing a public outpouring of faith and love and patriotism, compassion,
04:42that this nation has not experienced in a very, very, very long time. Yet, sadly, simultaneously,
04:49this moment is also bringing out the absolute worst in people. Democrats, the legacy media mob,
04:56their radical allies, their supporters on the left, they have not risen to the occasion. In fact,
05:01they have stooped even lower. You know, 58 Democrats voting against a resolution to honor Charlie's life last
05:08week. Many continue smearing him, demonizing him, attacking President Trump, still endangering his
05:15life yet again, calling him a racist, fascist, Hitler over and over and over and over again.
05:22Wash, rinse, repeat. We hear it every day. Here is just a small sampling of the leftist hate that simply
05:29just will, they will not go away. They will not, there will be no introspection, no self-reflection,
05:37no course correction. Take a look. His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated,
05:45and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans. One of the things I do want to point out that's not
05:51been laid out that honestly hurts my heart is when I saw the no votes, there were only two Caucasians.
05:58For the most part, the only people that voted no were people of color, because the rhetoric that
06:03Charlie Kirk continuously put out there was rhetoric that specifically targeted people of color. And so
06:10it is unfortunate that even our colleagues could not see how harmful his rhetoric was. When we see
06:16them trying to chill speech of jokesters, when we're seeing all of this, that is a playbook out of Hitler,
06:23and I won't deny it. Like these are the facts. But I do believe he was a reprehensible, hateful man.
06:30Like that is my view of the words that he has said about every single identity that I belong to.
06:38Here we go. Reprehensible, a father, uh, and, and a husband and you know, every other name you can call
06:45him. And we're back to the Hitler analogies. The things they are saying, not only are materially false,
06:51Charlie Kirk was famous for giving his opponents a microphone to refute him, them with facts. Usually
07:00they didn't have any and just, you know, you're a fascist, fascist, you're a racist.
07:05Okay. Give me one example. You're a fascist, you're a racist. One example, same thing.
07:10You know, wash, rinse, repeat again. Tell you that the left, they're doing the same thing.
07:14Lash out in anger because they can't win the argument. They see people drawn together by
07:19Charlie's legacy. They see people comforted by God and faith. They see people empowered to build a
07:25better future and they have nothing to respond with besides vitriol, hate, you know, a few,
07:32a few cruel jokes. The distinction, the difference, you know, between what has happened
07:39on the right and the left over these 12 transformational days, cannot be more profound.
07:46Anyway, here with analysis and reaction, Texas Senator Ted Cruz is with us. Senator,
07:52I don't know. It's, you can see the best in people and the worst in people. A tale of two
07:57Americas. Can you explain it? Well, Sean, darkness hates the light. Lies hate truth.
08:05Uh, and you can see the nastiness you, you played from, from AOC and Jasmine Crockett and Ilhan Omar.
08:15They hate Charlie Kirk because he spoke the truth and tragically a radical leftist assassin murdered
08:24him 12 days ago because he spoke the truth, because he went into college campuses and he embodied the
08:30very best of us. Charlie was a good friend of mine. I, I, I've known him more than a decade. I met
08:35Charlie when he was just 18 years old. He was a kid fresh out of high school. Sean,
08:40you've known Charlie a long time. Charlie was someone who always smiled. He engaged in substance.
08:47He went into college campuses and he would take on all comers and he didn't attack people. He didn't
08:52insult people. He, he treated them with civility. He treated them with respect, but he engaged on
08:58substance and you look at that, that, that deranged murderer who engraved on his shell casings and Tifa
09:07and transgender slogans because he hated so much the truth. And I got to say the moment you just
09:14played a second ago for America Kirk, I spent all day at the memorial service yesterday
09:20when she said, just like Jesus said, forgive them father for they know not what they do.
09:29That young man, I forgive him. I'll tell you there was not a dry eye there. And I knew where she was
09:37going when she started laying that out. But, but I am amazed. I'll tell you right now, I could not get
09:43that out. I would want to, but, but I believe God's strength was with her because for, for a grieving
09:50widow mourning Charlie to say that, I have never seen a clear illustration of the gospel of Jesus's
10:04love. And, and I got to say all across the world, more than a hundred million people watched that
10:10memorial. It was, it, we were mourning Charlie, but it was a revival. It was a celebration.
10:16And if you're not a Christian and you see that grieving widow saying, I forgive him,
10:23that makes no sense. And it makes you say, why, why? I don't understand. What is this Christianity?
10:29What, what is this about Jesus that you forgive someone who destroyed, took away your husband,
10:36took away the father of your children? That is Jesus's love. And it, as Erica pointed out,
10:42we don't respond to hate with hate. We respond to hate with love. Yesterday it was, it was heartbreaking,
10:49but also one of the most inspirational things I've ever seen in my life.
10:53You know, I am glad. Um, I ran into Charlie after president Trump got elected at the white
10:58house gate of all places. And I, well, I'm actually really happy with one of the last things I had,
11:03I said to him in person was thank you for all that he had done in the past election. Cause he was so
11:11impactful and you know, I'm watching all of this and I see people outside the arena, rotten hell,
11:17bad things happen to bad people. I can't explain it, Senator. I'll give you the last word.
11:24Look, Charlie was always smiling. He was always a joyful warrior. And I'll tell you one of the most
11:30important things about what Charlie did. He became one of the most important Christian evangelists
11:35and Christian apologists. The world has ever seen very much in the mold of CS Lewis and Charlie
11:41worked. He studied and he engaged. You know, there's a wonderful exchange that I played on my podcast
11:47verdict with Ted Cruz, where he was on Bill Maher and earlier this year around Easter time. And Bill
11:52Maher asked it, look, Bill Maher is not a Christian. He's famously an atheist. And, and Bill asked,
11:58he said, look, I don't understand this phrase. He is risen. He said, that's always struck me as
12:02strange. It's present tense. Why isn't it? He was risen. And Charlie responds well, because it is
12:10present. It's not just a historical fact 2000 years ago. It is today. Right now, Jesus is risen. And
12:17today, right now, Jesus is here to have a relationship with you. He cares about your life right now today.
12:23And Mark kind of sits back and goes, huh, I've never thought about it that way. That's a gift.
12:29And by the way, that's what sadly the left hates so much is the gift of preaching the gospel, which
12:36they sought to silence. But I'll tell you this, Sean, more people, I believe in the last two weeks
12:42have listened to Charlie Kirk's message than in his entire life. And I hope and believe this will be a
12:48turning point and a revival around this country. And I think yesterday was a powerful, powerful
12:55opening for that revival. Senator Ted Cruz, thank you. Appreciate you coming on.
13:01For anyone with simple, basic common sense, it is not hard to understand why public figures,
13:07government officials, people in the public eye are a little extra sensitive to any perceived threats
13:13right now. But that did not stop California governor Gavin Newsom's crew of keyboard warriors
13:18from posting, quote, Christine Noem is going to have a bad day today. You're welcome, America on X on
13:26Saturday. It's inexplicable why people are so tone deaf. Every indication is the left has no intention
13:35of toning down this radical rhetoric. That post was immediately referred to the Secret Service
13:40for a threat assessment. And by the way, Christine Noem has already been put in government housing
13:45because of threats. What some have perceived as a veiled threat was apparently some sort of sick,
13:51I guess, promotion for this bill that they signed out in California that pretends to ban law enforcement
13:58from wearing masks. What? So we can dox them and identify them so that bad people can, can find them.
14:05Um, let me give you some facts first. You know, no state government has the authority over federal
14:11agents. We do have something called the supremacy clause. Border enforcement is under the jurisdiction
14:17of the federal government, not state governments. And this California bill wouldn't even take effect
14:23until January anyway. So it's all meaningless symbolism for a cheap headline. Now, as the Department of Homeland
14:29Security itself posted, this is all some pointless and random PR stunt coming at a time when threats
14:36against ICE agents have exploded by some 1000%. As I said, Secretary Noem herself has already had to move into
14:46military housing at one point for her own safety and the safety of her family. It's got to stop. You know,
14:52these are serious. These are dangerous times. You know what? And people do get triggered and people,
14:59you know, at times get indoctrinated. And when you dehumanize Nazi fascists, racist, Hitler,
15:05Stalin, Mussolini over time, you know, people that may not be all there, uh, begin to take it to heart
15:11and may think they're doing God's will here with more secretary of Homeland security, Christy Noem. Um,
15:17well, let's get your first, your reaction to, um, bad day for you.
15:25Well, it was cryptic and it was really, um, menacing. I would say, Sean, it immediately panicked
15:31my family and friends within, I would say a couple of minutes of that being posted. I started to get
15:36text messages and phone calls, a family, my kids saying, are you okay, mom? Uh, you know, are you
15:42fine? They know the threats that I've had. They know the threats that they've had, the things that have
15:46happened to them because of politicians like this, that say things and somebody grabs onto
15:51them that has an agenda, the cartels and, and criminals that have threatened our family already.
15:57So when you get a post like that by a governor immediately, you know, my staff and family think
16:03what is going on? What does he mean? And we're trying to figure it out. So, uh, you know, this is
16:07a day and age where, um, we've always known that words matter, but there's been real consequences that
16:13we have realized that have happened to incredible people like Charlie, um, that we'll have to live
16:18with forever. And I hope we all learn from that. Uh, I hope we all learn that it's time to start
16:23listening to each other, having civil discourse and, uh, stop ridiculous, um, irresponsible posts
16:30like governor Newsom put out there. Okay. You, you and your family, you've had to move into military
16:36housing. Now this bill, which doesn't really become law until it doesn't become law until January,
16:42uh, that the state of California is going to tell federal authorities and they have jurisdiction
16:50how and, and which ways they will enforce the laws of our country. I don't think that's going to fly.
16:56Your reaction? No, it's, yeah, it's not going to fly, Sean. And you've already mentioned
17:00that it's unconstitutional. So this was just something they could use to posture and attack our
17:04law enforcement officers over again. And that's, what's so irresponsible about it. They,
17:10Governor Newsom waited many, many days to even sign this into law. And like you said,
17:14wouldn't even be enforced until January, which means that it's pointless. It's just something
17:18that they want to talk about. I was a governor, uh, when I had a bill and a policy that I thought
17:22was very important for my people in the state of South Dakota, we put an emergency clause on it.
17:27We signed it into law as soon as possible. Uh, that means that Governor Newsom doesn't think
17:31this is important. He just wants to use this to raise money. He wants to use it to go out and
17:35try to make himself feel like a big deal. And he's doing it by attacking our law enforcement
17:40officers and making their lives more dangerous. And every time I'm in a room with our law enforcement
17:44officers, I'm talking to them before they go out on our streets. I'm just overwhelmed by the fact
17:49that all of these young men and women have families that they all want to go home to their families
17:55at night too. And that people like Gavin Newsom are making it much more dangerous for them just
18:01to go do their jobs. You know, I thought I knew Gavin. I really did. And, and I really expected
18:08more from him. I don't know why. Uh, uh, he seems particularly tone deaf. This was two days after,
18:17you know, or a week after the assassination of, of Charlie Kirk, a week and a couple of days after the
18:22assassination of Charlie Kirk, it seems tone deaf. You have any message to the governor or anything?
18:27If he was on this show with you, what would you say to him?
18:33You know, the first words that come to my head are grow up, but it's so much bigger than that,
18:38that what he needs to do, we need a maturity and a seriousness and a, and a gravity of the
18:43situation that we have here in this country right now to, to hit people and to make them realize that,
18:49that our country is better than this. It's better than posts like that. It's better than how he acts
18:54and the posturing and that no amount of money he can raise for his political campaign, no amount of
18:59posturing to extremists and to activists is going to help make this life better for our kids and for
19:06our grandkids. So what we're doing here today and why we should get out of bed every single morning
19:10should be about what kind of a country our kids are going to live in. What kind of a country will our
19:15grandkids get? Um, I know that's what makes me do my job every day. I just would hope that
19:20the rest of the country and people like him would recognize the importance of it.
19:25All right, secretary, no, thank you. And please you and your family stay safe.
19:29All right. Coming up, a man has been arrested and accused of shooting at a Sacramento, California,
19:34ABC affiliate. The note found in his car is chilling. We'll tell you what it said.
19:38Also the left, they blame president Trump for Jimmy Kimmel show getting suspended.
19:43Well, turns out ABC says, nope, it was their decision entirely. And for good reason.
19:50We'll tell you what they said. And then we'll wait for the apology from all the legacy media
19:55mob and Democrats that were blaming Trump. We'll show you a tape to remind you how wrong they were as per
20:00Trump unveils new UK trade deal. Cause it incredible day for America. UK Prime Minister Starmer says
20:18deal will boost trade and create jobs. President Donald Trump announced the new trade deal with
20:24the UK calling Thursday an incredible day for America. Trump told reporters at the White House
20:31that today's agreement with the UK is the first in a series of agreements on trade that my administration
20:38has been negotiating over the past four weeks.
20:41With this deal, the UK joins the United States in affirming the reciprocity and fairness is an essential
20:51and vital principle of the international trade. The deal includes billions of dollars of increased
20:56market access for American exports, especially agriculture, dramatically increasing access for
21:02American beef, ethanol and virtually all of the products produced by our great farmers, Trump said.
21:08They'll also be fast tracking American goods through their customs process, so our exports go to a very,
21:17very quick form of approval. The president added, noting that the final details are written up in the
21:24coming weeks. In the post on Truth Social, Trump declared today is an incredible day for America as we
21:32deliver our first fair, open and reciprocal trade deal, something our past presidents never cared about.
21:40Together, with our strong ally, the United Kingdom, we reached the first historic trade deal since
21:46Liberation Day. Trump also said, as part of this deal, America will raise $6 billion in external revenue
21:53from 10% tariffs, $5 billion in new export opportunities for our great ranchers, farmers and producers,
22:01and enhance the national security of both the US and the UK through the creation of an aluminum and
22:07steel trading zone and a secure pharmaceutical supply chain. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer phoned in
22:16to the White House while Trump was announcing the pact, calling it a really important deal that is going to
22:23boost trade between and across our countries, protect and create jobs and open market access.
22:31Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also revealed Thursday that the UK is buying $10 billion worth of
22:38Boeing planes. I'm going to let the name of the airline announce it because that's theirs to do, he added.
22:44What is troubling about the Menendez brothers case being brought back up is that every time something
22:58like this happens and someone sees any amount of success, it encourages others to do this. You have
23:04to believe that there are any number of defense attorneys out there who are willing to show for
23:10the ordinary notoriety or the paycheque. In order to try to capture something like this, I'm not denigrating,
23:22denigrating? Yeah, denigrating. Oh, even I'm learning new words today.
23:28In order to try to capture something like this, I'm not denigrating them. I know that's business,
23:36but the answer should be that we should forget about the Menendez brothers.
23:44Broaches said what the Menendez brothers case highlights is something that has been happening
23:49since the Aurora Theatre shooting. That is amplifying killers. There has been a real concerted effort
23:58by decent people and many in the media to no longer amplifying the killers. Like we should be
24:04focused on the victims. I would say since the Aurora Theatre shooter, I said that guy's name maybe four
24:11times through the whole trial, which lasted from Jan 20th until April 7th, 2015. I said his name exactly
24:18twice and that was by design, Procter explained. And so here we are again, focused on the Menendez brothers
24:25and the Netflix things about the Menendez brothers. And I understand that, but we should really
24:31de-clarify the criminals and focus more on the victims and the crime that was committed. And I think
24:38that if you let those guys out, you do the opposite. Broacher added that there are even studies now about
24:45the correlation between the amount of notoriety that a criminal gets and then copycat type crimes.
24:52I'll give you an example of Columbine. The STEM school mass shooting that I covered. Both of those
24:59shooters had passing fascination with those Columbine shooters. We had a near mass shooting at another
25:07high school right down the road from the kids high school. They both had a fascination with the
25:12Columbine shooters and the Aurora Theatre shooter. Guess which case he researched before he left his apartment
25:20back on July 19th to go murder those people. Columbine. So the more notorious an event or some people
25:29become, it does have an effect on other folk, Broacher said. I get it. We have to report the bad guy,
25:36or bad girl, at least once. Broacher continued. Then after that, let's not talk about them anymore.
25:42Let's talk about the crime. Let's talk about the victims. And let's go to court.
25:49Yeah.
