00:00Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingram. This is the Ingram Angle from Washington tonight.
00:05Charlie keeps teaching. That's the focus of tonight's Angle.
00:12It was a great privilege and a blessing to join President Trump and many of his top cabinet
00:17officials yesterday at what was not just a historic memorial for Charlie Kirk,
00:22but perhaps a turning point for America. The lesson of Charlie's life is that you
00:28should never underestimate what one person can do with a good heart, a righteous cause,
00:34a cheerful spirit, and the will to fight, fight, fight. The evil murderer who took Charlie from us
00:42expected us to have a funeral today. And instead, my friends, we have had a revival in celebration
00:50of Charlie Kirk and of his Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus, faith, the scripture. They haven't been
00:59this front and center at a key American cultural moment since I frankly don't know when.
01:03Over the past 12 days, you could almost feel the shift.
01:08I always felt a little uncomfortable talking about my faith in public as much as I loved the Lord
01:14and as much as it was an important part of my life. I have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past
01:21two weeks than I have my entire time in public life. And that is an undeniable legacy of the great
01:29Charlie Kirk. You bet it is. And the events of the day and the long trip home gave me time to think.
01:36Here are my five big takeaways. Number one, the press and the left simply do not understand the enormous reach
01:46and power of the populist or MAGA movement. Yesterday, it was undeniable. Old fashioned virtues that the left
01:53has ridiculed for decades, faith, family, country, they're at the core of American life for millions and millions
02:00of us. The left thought that everyone was as cynical as they are, but that's not true.
02:06It didn't really feel like a funeral as much and more of like the celebration of, you know, what he did.
02:11I probably have been to over a hundred memorials. This wasn't anything like it. It was more like a
02:17spiritual revival service. God is watching over him and he's watching over us. And, you know,
02:22he's sitting at the right hand of God and he is, uh, we're all together and it's, it was just a great
02:27experience all in all. Number two, now I was only a few feet away from last night's big reunion.
02:33However, briefly, Charlie's death brought Trump and Elon Musk back together again,
02:39appearing on the angle back in June. This is something Charlie predicted.
02:44It's a tough thing to watch this public feud. I actually think they're going to reconcile at some
02:50point though, because deep down, I would like to believe they both want the same thing.
02:54President Donald Trump built this movement for 10 years. His supporters are not going anywhere.
02:59I hope that Elon and Trump reconcile. It'd be good for the country and to do so privately.
03:06Well, I talked to a insider today who said it's irreparable, but you know, look, Donald Trump,
03:12Donald Trump will sit down with anybody. So it's probably not irreparable on Trump's side.
03:19Of course, rifts are healed and differences are overlooked as we're forming a coalition
03:24of sane Americans to defeat the left's warped worldview.
03:29I just not get myself to honor a legacy that I believe was filled with hate, bigotry and rage
03:39baiting. It's really important for us to have this honest conversation about what this man's legacy was.
03:46His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated and sought to disenfranchise millions.
03:53Don't you wish that she had tried to debate Charlie AOC versus Charlie? How do you think that would
04:01have gone? Now, given what we know Democrats will do to Trump, to Musk, frankly, to all of us,
04:07all of you, if they regain the majority, the only conclusion is got to stick together.
04:12That's why Elon Musk sent out that Ben Franklin tweet. Number three, at the same time,
04:19we are now learning that the left is not as strong as many of us feared. The sheer size of the crowd
04:26yesterday was stunning. You know, the Trump rallies were massive during the 2020, 2024, 2016 campaigns.
04:32Even during COVID, you had people show up. But last night and yesterday, people were even outside in
04:39the 90-degree heat. For years, many of us were told that left-wing domination was inevitable.
04:46They were just too strong to be subdued. We learned to keep our mouths shut. J.D. Vance referenced that.
04:52You know, when people were kind of afraid to talk about their faith or didn't or felt uncomfortable.
04:56But no, because we were, what, afraid of social and professional repercussions?
05:00We hid our views at work and at school. But now we know, we know that we have them outnumbered.
05:09And Trump is now proving that we can govern the country without having to give these radicals
05:14what they're demanding. So events like yesterday, they are huge confidence boosters for ordinary
05:20Americans who work hard, believe in God, love their country, and don't expect handouts.
05:26What you're seeing here is a movement called Christian nationalism that merges Christianity
05:33as it's been practiced in America for, you know, centuries with a very specific interpretation
05:38of what the Founding Fathers wanted, what Aristotle wanted.
05:44She's terrified of this. Number four, after much thought, I really believe that the hard left,
05:51they really hate America because America, in their mind, has too many of those Christian people.
05:57And the left hates Christianity more than it hates anything else, I think. The left would rather
06:01live under a communist dictatorship than under a government led by devout Christians. I have
06:07zero doubt in my mind about that. At the same time, you can see what a massive task the left has
06:14set itself. Trying to destroy the Bible?
06:17But the assassin failed in his quest because Charlie's message has not been silenced. It now
06:23is bigger and better and stronger than ever before, and it's not even close.
06:30So given how hateful and vicious the left has become, even in the aftermath of an assassination,
06:38they don't know how to react to moments like this.
06:41That man, that young man, I forgive him.
06:50I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do.
07:06The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love.
07:16Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.
07:23It's almost like Christians have some invisible power that defends them through eternity.
07:30And number five, finally, most importantly, of course, is the legacy of Charlie Kirk.
07:35Now, for many years, we've been told that history is governed by vast impersonal forces,
07:40that an individual can't make all that much of a difference. But Charlie's life shows that
07:46this simply isn't true. In an amazingly short period of time,
07:49he touched millions and millions of lives, and I think he changed the debate forever.
07:56For the rest of our lives, he'll be an inspiration to thousands who never met him,
08:01millions who never met him. He gave his life so that the rest of us could have more freedom.
08:07Now, he would have shrugged off the adulation and all the compliments. It would make him uncomfortable.
08:12But in the area of ideas and advocacy, Charlie Kirk was an American hero.
08:19And that's the angle.
08:21Here to react is Alex Marlowe, Breitbart editor-in-chief, friend of Charlie's.
08:26Alex, I know you were also there yesterday. A lot of people were saying it was the most
08:31upbeat memorial service they had ever seen. What struck you most about yesterday,
08:39all the speeches, all the
08:41remarks, and just the mood inside.
08:50Yeah, it was nourishing. It was enriching. There's a clear, lasting legacy that Charlie's going to have.
08:57This is the moment that America stopped ignoring In God We Trust as one of our founding principles.
09:03We are talking about God all the time in the context of our politics going forward.
09:07This is brand new. One of the key moments of the night was Marco Rubio, when he wasn't just talking
09:12about his faith. He was preaching the gospel for a crowd of 100,000 cheering people with an overflow
09:19crowd of tens of thousands in an adjacent stadium. Even Trump was marveling at the crowd. And then J.D.
09:25Vance comes in and said what was true, that he talked more about his faith in the last two weeks
09:29than he had in his entire life until then. And I know that was true as well. And it all built up
09:35to that sensational moment with Erica Kirk doing the ultimate Christian act, which is granting
09:39forgiveness. Granting forgiveness. Most powerful words you can say as a Christian. Laura, I know you
09:45and I are Catholics. How often do we say the Lord's Prayer at Mass? Every single Mass. We forgive those
09:51who trespass against us. It's automatic. It's what Christians do. And now to have that intertwined in our
09:57politics, it's a beautiful thing. And it is a stark contrast to how the left reacts when one of
10:02theirs gets killed. And don't you think also, Alex, that that idea of forgiveness and redemption,
10:09again, the left in their reaction to Charlie's assassination, they don't forgive America for
10:16listening to him. They don't forgive American students for engaging with them. They certainly
10:22don't forgive Donald Trump for getting elected or the people for electing him.
10:28No, they hate us and we don't hate them. And I think that's really an important point. And it was
10:32really interesting when I heard those clips of Ilhan Omar and AOC. And you mentioned, should they
10:37debate Charlie? They can't even debate kids on a campus. They couldn't show up at a college Republican
10:42club or a Turning Point USA club and debate them. They have to hide. Jasmine Crockett, she couldn't
10:46debate anyone. That's why they fear us so much. It's because not only are we happy warriors like
10:51Charlie, we're arming ourselves with arguments and intellect. The vibe in the room was sensational.
10:56The music was sensational. It was one of those experiences that was once in a lifetime, Laura.
11:01People are going to say they were at this event, even if they weren't. It's going to be timeless.
11:05It was a historic moment. And thank you, Charlie, for giving it to us.
11:09And Alex, how funny was it when that MSNBC guest was Christian nationalism. It's like Christianity
11:16with Aristotle. It's it's really scary. I mean, that was like the implicit line of what you're
11:22saying. Oh, my gosh. Do they realize how they sound? I mean, this is hysterical. All right.
11:29They want to replace Aristotle with Kimmel. They're replacing Aristotle with Kimmel now.
11:33Good point. Very good, Alex. Nice going. Great to see you, my friend.
11:38And some sad news to report tonight for Democrats, that is.
11:42Trust the Dems or GOP more on the economy. Who leads on the economy? Republicans by seven.
11:48Immigration, Republicans by 13. How about crime? A big issue for Donald Trump and the Republicans.
11:53Look at that. Lead by 22 points. The Democrats have not picked up the ball and running with it.
11:57If anything, at this particular point, it's the Republicans who are running with the ball.
12:01Whatever Democrats are doing, it ain't working.
12:04Oof. Dems in deep trouble. Big three issues. Underwater. Big time.
12:09And to save themselves, they're turning to. Drumroll, please.
12:15Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Sources telling Axios that AOC's team is positioning her to run for
12:22president in 2028. I'm all for it. Or for Chuck Schumer's Senate seat.
12:27The apparent heir to the socialist Senator Bernie Sanders has even gained the support of his staff.
12:33They believe she could expand her appeal beyond the party's left wing.
12:36And immediately raised tens of millions of dollars in a presidential race.
12:40I've said this from the very beginning.
12:43AOC is the current thought leader of the Democrat Party.
12:47I think it's a mistake for conservatives not to take her seriously,
12:50to brush her off as kind of a flash in the pan or an upstart.
12:53She's as close to a thought leader that the Democratic Party has today.
12:57And she has a massive social media following.
13:00She's both charismatic and she's committed to transforming both our economic system
13:05and our culture.
13:08Heard it here first. Here to weigh in, Victor Davis Hanson, Hoover Institution Senior Fellow.
13:13Victor, I for one believe, yes, yes, yes.
13:17We finally have to have socialism or veering into communism, whatever we want to call it,
13:22on the ballot, and let's see how it plays nationally.
13:26What else makes sense at this point?
13:30Yeah, I think it's going to come that way.
13:32The problem with AOC is that she's a 37, 30-70 issue person,
13:38and she's on the 30 side of the border, energy, crime, foreign policy, all those issues.
13:45And I know that she's charismatic, but after about 10 minutes, she has no answer.
13:50She's like Gavin Newsom. She has canned, stock answers.
13:53And she starts to sound reminiscent of Kamala Harris.
13:56She can't really think on her feet and answer extemporaneously when asked questions.
14:01And she doesn't really know much.
14:03She's a really good contrast with Charlie Kirk.
14:07She's four years older, but she only appeals to a narrow base.
14:12She has no national appeal.
14:13He was always trying to widen his appeal.
14:16And he went anywhere, anytime, with anybody on any question.
14:20And she can't do that.
14:22She's still trapped with this little left-wing narrative.
14:27And she doesn't really have any experience in the working classes outside her own immediate atmosphere.
14:33So she never gets asked questions about price of gas, oil, who can buy a house, what's the fertility...
14:39That's just nothing that she's interested in.
14:41And, yeah, she can get...
14:43When she gets Bernie Sanders, she gets a hard lift, she can get 30,000 people.
14:47But that's not going to win over independents because she's on the wrong side of every issue.
14:52And I hope she's on the ballot.
14:54And I think she'll win that.
14:55Yes, Victor, don't rain on my parade, okay?
14:58This is my parade.
14:59I want AOC to be their nominee because it's time we settle this once and for all.
15:04It's not a question mark.
15:06The Democrats say it will.
15:07Well, AOC for president, I'm going to say dot, dot, dot, yes, okay?
15:11We have to settle this once and for all, Victor.
15:13This can't be a debate that we have on even on college campuses or, you know, Thursday night seminars at Berkeley.
15:20This has got...
15:21We need to decide this once and for all.
15:23Do we want a capitalist system or do we want a progressive socialist slash communist system?
15:30Period.
15:30Let's do it and let's get it over with.
15:32So you're advocating, Laura, an AOC Mondomik ticket?
15:38Yes, exactly.
15:39Something like that.
15:40Well, he's too...
15:41Yeah.
15:42A New York ticket?
15:44Yeah, well, I hope so.
15:45But I don't think the Democrats are quite that stupid.
15:49I think there's not a chance.
15:51I don't think she's going to be nominated because they're looking at what happened in the country.
15:55Donald Trump's ratings are going up.
15:58All the issues are popular.
16:00He's a success.
16:01Yes, Charlie Kirk was the most impressive guy under 40, probably in American history, as a political activist.
16:08AOC, compared to what he did and accomplished, it was nothing.
16:11And I think they've just exaggerated all of her talents in this little bubble.
16:16But I agree with you.
16:17I hope she's on the ballot because I hope middle America gets introduced to her.
16:23Victor, so great to see you.
16:25Thanks so much.
16:25All right, coming up, now, Gavin Newsom, you know, he's going to run.
16:30And he's taunting ICE agents because that's a good strategy.
16:33Tom Homan, next.
16:35In face coverings, saves lives.
16:37Don't let COVID win.
16:39Wear a mask.
16:40Just do it.
16:41I'm sorry.
16:43That was before or after his dinner at the French Laundry during COVID when during his rules, his draconian COVID rules, the rest of Californians couldn't enjoy dinners out.
16:54Now, we know cloth masks did not stop the spread, but we know that they can stop doxing, meaning they can protect ICE agents whom the left wing lunatics out there love to harass at their homes.
17:08But, of course, Gavin's against those masks.
17:11I'll be signing a bill, the first in the nation, saying enough to ICE unmask.
17:18What are you afraid of?
17:20What are you afraid of?
17:21Is he that ignorant or is he just pretending to be?
17:26DHS says that attacks on ICE agents are up 1,000 percent.
17:30And now California's tough guy, Gavin Newsom, is putting another target on their backs?
17:35Newsom's new law, which goes into effect in January, bans local, state, and federal law enforcement officials from wearing masks unless they're undercover or involved in a tactical operation.
17:46A criminal misdemeanor for public servants, think about this, who put their lives on the line.
17:51Just for wearing a mask.
17:53For Antifa, the BLM looters, masks are absolutely fine, of course.
17:57Here to discuss as White House boarders are, Tom Holman.
18:00All right, Tom, what's your message to not having masks, Gavin Newsom tonight?
18:05Well, good luck with that.
18:08You know, federal law always trumps state law and local law.
18:12If you ask the question, what are they afraid of?
18:14They're afraid of people like him, politicians who want to compare ICE to the Nazis.
18:18He's the one with a hateful record causing all these threats.
18:22He's one of the reasons why there's a 1,000 percent increase in threats against ICE officers.
18:27So ICE officers can continue what they're doing.
18:29What he isn't mentioning, yeah, they wear a mask because they don't want to be doxxed, and their kids get doxxed, and their spouses get doxxed.
18:34But they've got identifying information.
18:36It shows from ICE or FBI or DEA, our partners around these operations, they're well-identified.
18:43If we arrest somebody, they'll certainly be identified because they're going to be in the arrest report.
18:46So bottom line is we're not going to coddle to Governor Newsom, we're going to keep doing what we're doing.
18:51He ought to be thanking ICE.
18:53He ought to be thanking President Trump for making his state safer because every public safety threat we take off his street makes this community safer.
19:01Well, Tom, when you think about it, I guess you guys have deported over 200,000 people now.
19:07I'm not sure the exact number.
19:09A couple weeks ago it was 200,000.
19:10We have 30 million or so illegals in the United States.
19:14A question for a lot of MAGA folks out there is how do you possibly speed up this deportation?
19:20I know you're trying to hire a lot more people, but given the protests, given all the lawsuits, 200,000 people, it's not nothing.
19:28It's a lot, but it's still a drop in the bucket compared to how many people are here.
19:33No, we have over 400,000 deportations between CBP and ICE, and that's just since the president took office.
19:42The first four months of the fiscal year, we can't count them because Joe Biden wasn't doing anything, but here's what people need to understand.
19:48Two things.
19:49Number one, over 1.5 million illegal aliens, close to 1.6 illegal aliens already left the country on their own.
19:55Why?
19:55Because they see what ICE is doing out there every day.
19:58One of the reasons we have the most secure border in the history of this nation is because the great work of the men and women of the Border Patrol,
20:03the great work of President Trump and his leadership, but also because ICE is out there, over 1,000 teams all across the country arresting people.
20:11So a lot of people have left.
20:12A lot of people aren't coming, which helps to secure that border.
20:15And that was a part of the strategy from the beginning.
20:18We said if we show consequences, if we show them we're actually out there looking for them, many will leave.
20:22So we knew a large population will leave and over 1.5 million have.
20:26But what's to come?
20:28ICE is getting 10,000 more agents.
20:31Right now they've got 5,000 deportation officers.
20:33We're tripping the size of the workforce.
20:35We're adding more detention beds.
20:37We're adding more flights.
20:38We're adding more transportation.
20:39So the numbers are going to explode here in the coming year.
20:43Tom, I want to give you a chance to address this article that came out over the weekend.
20:50And it was on our always reliable MSNBC, and they said that you took $50,000 in cash in a bag from an undercover FBI agent to help them win government contracts in Trump's second term.
21:06The DOJ said they concluded there was no criminal wrongdoing, but nevertheless, that story is out there.
21:14And I imagine you want to respond to that.
21:18Absolutely.
21:18Look, I did nothing criminal.
21:20I did nothing illegal.
21:21And it's hit piece after hit piece after hit piece.
21:24And I'm glad the FBI and DOJ came out and said that nothing illegal happened and no criminal activity.
21:32You're talking about a guy who spent 34 years enforcing them all.
21:36I mean, I left a very successful business that I ran to come back and work for a government again.
21:40I'm back on a government paycheck.
21:42Not only did I sacrifice my family sacrifices.
21:46I make sacrifices every day.
21:48I got more death threats than anybody.
21:50I got a security team around me.
21:51But guess what?
21:52My kids don't.
21:53My wife don't.
21:54I mean, I haven't lived with my wife in months because I don't want her to be here right now with all the threats.
21:59So after all the sacrifices, after serving my nation all these years, they want to come out and dirty me up.
22:04And it's not going to end.
22:05There's a hit piece on me every two weeks.
22:06But keep coming because, you know what?
22:08Tom Holman isn't going anywhere.
22:09Tom Holman isn't shutting up.
22:11And Tom Holman is going to keep doing what he's doing because we're going to President Trump's greatest honor of my life.
22:15We're making this country safer again every day.
22:18And we're going to keep doing it.
22:18Tom, we appreciate it.
22:20Thank you very much for joining us.
22:22And coming up, the Trump administration says a common pain reliever could be causing autism in our kids.
22:29Dr. Oz and FDA Commissioner Marty McCary are both here with details next.
22:33Details to display cost of Trump tariffs on products.
22:36The legislation comes after Amazon walked back a similar proposal.
22:42Now, Democrats plan to introduce a bill this Thursday requiring retailers to display product cost increases to customers caused by President Donald Trump's tariff policies.
22:53Representative Jamie Ruskin, DMD, said he would introduce the Truth in Tariffs Act.
22:59If the President and his cabinet of billionaires are forcing Americans to pay a lot more for consumer goods, the people have a right to know just how much.
23:10This tariff charge is basically a national sales tax.
23:13And we always print the price of taxes on receipts.
23:17Ruskin Rowan X, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schmuck, DNY, said the tariffs were eating away at Americans' hard-earned money.
23:27Americans deserve to know who's picking their pockets.
23:30He wrote,
23:31My bill with Rep Raskin will make clear that Trump's promise to lower costs on day one was fiction.
23:37All for a tariff policy that's sending our economy into a tailspin.
23:42In response to the bill, the White House told Fox Business Democrats should have passed the bill to require retailers to display the cost of Joe Biden's four-year-long inflation crisis.
23:52The legislation comes after Amazon flowed to the idea of displaying the cost of tariffs before the e-commerce giant scrapped the plan.
24:01The White House, now listen to this, called the idea a hostile and political act.
24:07This is a hostile and political act by Amazon, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said, before Amazon decided not to move forward with the idea.
24:18Why didn't Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?
24:26Trump later spoke with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to complain about the plan.
24:31Pete Hegseth says West Point professor who resigned over Trump admin education overall will not be missed.
24:40West Point philosophy professor Graham Parsons announced his resignation Thursday.
24:45Following a 13-year tenure with the academy, Hegseth quickly took to social media voicing his opinions after the departure.
25:15You will not be missed, Professor Parsons, Hegseth wrote in response to Parsons' resignation.
25:25In a New York Times op-ed, Parsons said he is departing as the academy is rapidly shifting from its educational principles in part to the Trump administration.
25:36I will be resigning after this semester from my tenured position at West Point after 13 years on the faculty, said Parsons.
25:46I cannot tolerate these changes which prevent me from doing my job responsibly.
25:52I am ashamed to be associated with the academy in its current form.
