00:12President Douma Gideon Boko lauded his athletes mainly for their resilience, self-belief and behind-the-scenes hard work.
00:19Boko designated September 29th as a public holiday to commemorate the country's victory.
00:24The celebration will take place just a day before the nation celebrates its Independence Day on 30th September.
00:30Botswana clinched the gold medal in Tokyo in the 4x400-meter race, marking his first in the history of the World Athletics Championship.
00:39At 10-time World Champions, the U.S. team came second while South Africa came in third.
00:43Botswana's team comprise Lee Bekempilo, Epi, Lesile Tobogo, Baya Pontori and Busan Kolen Kepinashipi.
