00:01Authorities in southern Congo are scrambling to curb the spread of Ebola.

00:06The WHO has found that deaths from the disease nearly doubled in the last week, standing at 31.

00:12More than 900 people have been in contact with the virus so far.

00:16Now a new vaccine drive is underway in the outbreak's epicentre.

00:28We currently have 3,500 doses available in the country, with 760 already delivered to Bulape.

00:38More than 500 healthcare workers and contacts have received their vaccination, offering them crucial protection.

00:46Additionally, a further 45,000 doses are expected to arrive in Kinshasa soon.

00:52A fresh Ebola outbreak was announced by Congolese authorities on September 5 in Bualap, in Kasai region.

00:59The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention says the virus has now spread from two districts to four.
