00:00Joe, a wide receiver available in maybe seven out of 10 leagues.
00:03Where can we go?
00:05Yeah, Troy Franklin's where we can go for the Denver Broncos.
00:08Troy Franklin's coming off a game where he had nine targets,
00:10eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.
00:12He was wide receiver eight last week.
00:14He gets the Chargers this week, all hands on deck.
00:17Bo Nix struggled in that first week, had some good moments,
00:20I think, against the Colts last week.
00:22So hopefully pulling out of a little early slump here.
00:24But, you know, it's second year in the league.
00:27There's more tape on you.
00:28Teams make adjustments.
00:29Don't be shocked if Bo Nix is a little up and down, I think, in 2025.
00:33But Troy Franklin's an interesting piece because we kind of got a tease of this last year,
00:37and Troy Franklin and Bo Nix played together in college, right?
00:39So there's a continuity there.
00:41There's a familiarity there.
00:42There's a trust level there.
00:44It's just whether or not we're going to see him overtake Marvin Vims
00:47as the number two wide receiver on this depth chart.
00:49Now, that remains to be seen.
00:51But if it does happen, I want to get ahead of it.
00:54I want it to be on my roster when it happens.
00:56Because if it happens again this week and he has another repeat game where he's a top
01:0010 wide receiver, which, again, I don't anticipate that happening.
01:03But even if he's a wide receiver, too, he's going to be gone off that waiver wire.
01:07So get him now.
01:09Put him on your team for nothing now.
01:11And then see how he performs.
01:12If he goes back to being a two-catch guy on three targets in the game, okay, then you just drop him
01:19and you go back to pick up something else that's useful on the waiver wire.
01:22But to me, this is one of those classic get-ahead-of-the-curve situations with Troy Franklin
01:26of the Denver Broncos.
01:27Because if he does emerge as that number two guy behind Cortland Sutton,
01:30especially Evan Ingram did nothing the first two weeks of the season.
01:34He's not playing today.
01:35There's more targets available in this offense.
01:37He's even, I think, a streamer this week as a flex play in a 14-team league,
01:42maybe even at 12 if he just had the worst situation in terms of wide receiver play.
01:46So Troy Franklin, definitely an ad Sunday morning.
01:48All right.
01:49The way you leaned into that worst maybe can be applied to people's tight end situations.
01:55So you've got to give me someone.
01:57It doesn't have to be sexy.
01:58It just has to be available.
02:00Give me someone that's available in at least 7 out of 10 leagues at the tight end position.
02:04Yeah.
02:05Well, I'm going to give you a guy who is playing really well right now,
02:09who is tight end four in fantasy over the first two games is Juwan Johnson of the Saints.
02:15Now, nobody wanted Juwan Johnson because he played for the Saints
02:17and because we kind of know who Juwan Johnson was previously.
02:20But there's a big difference in what's happening now with the Saints and why Juwan Johnson.
02:24This is the question I keep getting asked.
02:25Why is this happening now?
02:27And I think the answer is, number one, you have a quarterback that's limited in Spencer Rattler,
02:32who has been better than I think a lot of us anticipated, but nothing special.
02:37He's not moving the ball downfield the way Derek Carr could, right?
02:39So Juwan Johnson's going to benefit from that, right?
02:42Lower average depth of target.
02:44He's also going to benefit from the fact that Taysom Hill is not there, right?
02:47Hill is hurt.
02:48He's probably not playing this year.
02:49Maybe at the end of the year, we'll see.
02:50But whenever they would get in the red zone, which is where tight ends typically eat,
02:54which is where tight ends can score their fantasy points and get touchdowns,
02:58Juwan Johnson wasn't on the field because you had all these gimmick plays with the other tight end.
03:03And I think that is something with Taysom Hill that now that that's out,
03:07Juwan Johnson's in.
03:08And he's got 20 targets in two weeks.
03:11Rookie quarterbacks or younger quarterbacks tend to check down a lot, too.
03:15Juwan Johnson benefits from that.
03:17So, look, he's got 13 catches on the year to start the season.
03:20He's got one touchdown.
03:21Juwan Johnson plays the Seahawks this week.
03:23It's a tough matchup.
03:25So, yeah, you're going to have to get rid of the football quick.
03:27So, Juwan Johnson is a guy that should not be readily available as much as he is in leagues,
03:32considering how bad the tight end play has been.
03:34So, Juwan Johnson's definitely an add, too.
03:36Even if you have a decent tight end, add him on principle as a potential guy that you could use as trade bait
03:42or to cover your bye weeks at some point.
03:44Because if Hawkinson doesn't turn things around with Wentz and Andrews doesn't turn things around soon,
03:49Juwan Johnson is a pivot in the next couple weeks.
