00:00
We got a guy at wide receiver 42, an ADP of 94.
00:03
And this is probably my favorite one out of the bunch, Joe.
00:06
Take it away.
00:07
Yeah, wide receiver 42 for Matthew Golden,
00:10
one of my favorite prospects coming out of Texas.
00:12
He had an incredible game against Arizona last year
00:16
in the college football playoffs.
00:17
Just, you know, big touchdown after big touchdown,
00:19
big moment after big moment.
00:21
I loved them all year.
00:22
And I was a little, you know, skeptical at first, like, okay,
00:25
well, it's kind of a crowded wide receiver room.
00:26
But guess what?
00:27
It's getting less crowded because everybody's hurt in Green Bay.
00:30
Matthew Golden is the truth.
00:31
He's the only guy healthy enough to play.
00:33
And I think Matthew Golden is going to get peppered with targets.
00:35
I really do.
00:36
So again, wide receiver 42, I see his finish.
00:40
And this is the way you have to think about things.
00:41
Where do these guys finish, right?
00:43
Next year, where am I drafting Matthew Golden?
00:46
Is he a top 25 wide receiver?
00:48
I'm pretty sure he's going to be,
00:49
just based off of what's there in Green Bay currently.
00:51
And his wide receiver 42, that makes him a huge bargain.
00:54
And that makes him a guy that if he breaks out this year,
00:56
and I think he will, that he is going to help carry fantasy teams.
01:00
So if you are somebody that is building early with running backs,
01:03
Pearsall, Egbuka, Golden, some of these second-year wide receivers
01:07
and rookie wide receivers, Ted McMillan,
01:09
another one we just talked about too.
01:10
Those are the guys you're going to have to target
01:12
to make up ground at wide receiver.
01:14
Guys who jump a tier at wide receiver is how you win fantasy leagues.
01:17
Fours that perform as threes, threes that perform as twos,
01:19
twos that can perform as ones.
01:21
That's the secret sauce.
01:23
Good advice, Joe.
01:24
Definitely some good advice.
01:25
All right.
01:25
With the time that we have left,
01:27
let's show some love to maybe the tight end position
01:29
and the quarterback position.
01:31
Our very own George Kurtz, as you can see,
01:33
I believe each and every Saturday,
01:34
along with Craig Misch on Fantasy Sports Today Saturday,
01:37
was the first guy that put Tyler Warren on my radar.
01:42
Tyler Warren, ADP at 96, tight end 10.
01:45
Actually, I like Jonathan Taylor,
01:47
so then I should like Tyler Warren, Joe.
01:49
Yeah, you should.
01:51
And here's the thing.
01:52
Last year, there was a guy being drafted as tight end 10 overall
01:55
who was a rookie.
01:56
His name was Brock Bowers, and that worked out pretty well.
01:59
And Tyler Warren is not Brock Bowers.
02:01
He's a little bit more in that George Kittle kind of mode,
02:03
I feel like.
02:04
And just a phenomenal player at Penn State too.
02:06
Just a guy that got after a great energy player.
02:09
And Daniel Jones is the quarterback, at least for now.
02:12
And I think when you go back and look at the history of Daniel Jones,
02:15
when you gave him Saquon Barkley and Evan Ingram healthy,
02:17
Daniel Jones was serviceable.
02:19
I don't want to use the word good, because I don't think that's fair,
02:22
but serviceable.
02:23
And I think Tyler Warren, as the last tight end in a 10-team league being taken,
02:26
is the guy that I want.
02:28
I think Tucker Craft is in that conversation too,
02:30
of guys who could break out at tight end this year
02:33
because Matthew Golden, right?
02:35
Kind of the last man standing there pass catching.
02:38
Somebody else has to catch a football.
02:39
Why not Tucker Craft, right?
02:40
You saw him kind of emerge last year.
02:42
Very quietly good season for him.
02:44
So Craft, Warren, those are two guys at the tight end position
02:47
that could really break out this season.
02:49
All right.
02:50
And last but not least is a quarterback,
02:52
a quarterback 16, an ADP of 118.
02:55
And when we talk about offensive ecosystem,
02:57
which is a term from Joe, your book,
02:59
just describing the overall offensive ability of the team,
03:02
I look at Stefan Diggs and I look at Travion Henderson
03:05
and I say, hey, who's throwing that football, Joe?
03:09
Well, it's Drake May.
03:10
And Drake May has an improved offensive line.
03:13
It's not a great one, but it is improved.
03:15
He has a lot more rushing ability than people realize.
03:17
There's an upside here.
03:18
And Pat Fitzmaurice, you know, Pat,
03:19
who I work with at Fantasy Pros,
03:20
he thinks he could rush for 700 plus yards this year.
03:24
That's how much rushing he believes Drake May could have.
03:27
And now that he does have weapons
03:28
that can help Pat his stats like Stefan Diggs,
03:30
like Kyle Williams, like Travion Henderson, right?
03:33
You know, it's important.
03:34
If you go back and look at the best of Justin Herbert, right?
03:36
It was a Keenan Allen and Austin Eckler in his prime, right?
03:39
Those guys help.
03:40
Drake May had no help last year.
03:42
And now as a second year QB,
03:44
he's got a real offensive coordinator in Josh McDaniels.
03:47
He's got a real head coach in Mike Crabill.
03:49
He's got real talent around him
03:50
at the skill position players for the first time.
03:52
And there's a lot to like here.
03:54
Plus, he's also free,
03:55
which means that he's the 13th quarterback
03:57
going off the board, 16th year recently.
03:59
But now the real-time ADP has moved up to 13.
04:03
So he's still pretty much, you know,
04:04
if you wait on QB to the last couple rounds,
04:07
Drake May should be around there.
04:08
But if you take a Drake May and a Jared Goff
04:10
with your last couple picks to have like,
04:12
I'm going to have the veteran,
04:13
but I'm also going to have the upside of the rushing QB.
04:16
That's a good way of looking at it.
04:18
And it's funny because Justin Fields,
04:19
you know, so far after preseason,
04:21
he's come down a little bit.
04:23
Drake May's come up.
04:24
They're going as the 12th and 13th QBs
04:26
off the board in real-time ADP.
04:28
But there's a scenario here
04:29
where Drake May finishes as a top 10 QB.
04:32
And the fact that he's free,
04:33
I think is very intriguing.
04:34
And in super flex leagues,
04:35
when you're playing two quarterbacks,
04:37
you definitely got to keep an eye on Drake May too.
